Yeah, I might be the only one but I'm not at all bumbed about the spiders missing. I can play horror games on my own, lights out at night in the dark and still sleep well. Spiders just give me actual anxiety, not the fun jump scares i get from the zombies and other monsters or even ghosts. If they bring the spiders back i do hope theres a arachnaphobia mode. The last stage plaga were just bairly manageable for me..😅😅😅

I'd say Village is the hardest. Village of Shadows is literally balanced for infinite ammo and fully upgraded guns.

Removal of A & B scenarios in RE2R is what prevents it from reaching the masterpiece status imo. It really is a shame, that this part of the OG game was not explored more

In re2r what scared me was when i was under the statue then saw mr x enter west office so i bolted to observation room thinking i was safe then mr x 5 busted through the press room then i ran like hell to the break room

A lot of the dialogue removal in re4 was annoying played it very safe to make sure not to offend anyone and made the dialogue bland as a result

What if, and hear me out, in a resident evil game, chris is the protagonist you play as and it takes place after Village where he investigates the B.O.Ws the BSAA sent to fight in village (mentioned and shown at the end of Village after the explosion) and turns out Sheva is the antagonist because she got infected by a new virus or mind controlled by a bigger threat. That would be a cool and decent conclusion to both Chris and/or Sheva in some way

I agree. If you remove the charm of the original (whatever it may represent) it´s a bad remake. Pretty graphics don´t do it for me at all. My main gripe is the voice acting direction of the remakes (not the voice actors). It´s bland and boring, soulles. I felt it especially in the RE4 Remake. Leon in the original was cool and more mature. The remake makes him a depressed, too serious young guy.

With number 8, in the original when Barry asks if he should go first you in the tunnels CAN answer yes. You just have to make sure to follow him through the same door after you hear the gunshot. If you don’t follow him through the same door, then he will die. Also, with Chris’s scenario in the original you can avoid needing to save Rebecca from the Hunter if you a). meet Rebecca in the medical storage save room, and b). say yes when Rebecca asks if she can come with you.

I think Pluto from Dead Aim should have gotten a honorable mention. But yeah, _nothing_ will top number 1.

I think I once heard that the reason CapCom didn't add giant spiders to the RE2 and RE3 remakes is because of people with arachnophobia but I'm not a 100% sure if that was true or not.

I think they made nemesis fine in the re3r. Playing the og re3 over again recently it actually gets annoying and tedious having to fight him just 5 minutes apart from each other. Yes it’s fun and scary knowing how strong he is and he comes out outta no where but when it keeps happening it gets annoying. The majority of ur time playing the game ur just tryna get by him

I think the giant spiders are not included due to many people suffering from arachnophobia. With PS1 graphic they are still goofy but on the RE Engine some people may have had extreme reactions to those spiders are may have had heart attacks or other medical conditions. That's my head canon about why they did not include them.
