I think including Sheva sorely for her being a bad AI is not right since the title says "annoying characters" and that usually relates to character interacting with the plot and plot-wise Sheva's neat (I just think that it's a bit annoying that Jill took a backseat since she was there from the beginning of the series and deserves just as much as Chris does).
Take Natalia out, she's the best to play as. If you level up her brink she can one-shot enemies that Barry can't without the magnum. My brother and I love her quotes as well! We often say them whenever we see a small girl in any game (Sherry in re2, Shai in bdo, etc) I always switch to her as soon as I do a Barry playthrough because she’s less likely to been seen, if she takes damage she recovers on her own, and she can see through walls
Completely agree. Her and Barry are the more fun to play as since Natalia is a lot more useful than Moira and Claire and Barry almost play the same. I only use Moira when I enter dark areas and need light or come across something that needs a Crowbar, otherwise it's always Claire. With Barry and Natalia I use them quite evenly for 2 reasons. 1: She can see monsters and monster weak points, this is especially useful against Revenants, Glasts, and Alex Wesker, and her Brick even without being leveled up stuns enemies which is awesome. 2: The game does a great job with how most of the areas Barry and Natalia go through are designed. In single player you're forced to use them both when going against the 3 enemies I previously mentioned and they get a lot more segments where you either a) need to use Natalia to activate stuff for Barry or crawl through holes to perform a task or grab loot or b) entire sections where her and Barry are split up and you need to use them both to progress. The lift segment in the final Episode is the best example of this but it also happens in the Sewers as well. Claire and Moira only get split for short segments. Even the factory escape segment is pretty short and outside of whenever their split Moira's is more useful as an ai partner(especially given the ai is great at stunning enemies and healing your characters at the right time) than she is as the player character. She only gets use when split up for a short period or when the Crowbar needs to get used(which is less often than the crawl spaces and chests come up for Natalia). So yeah, I really appreciate how well they made Natalia really feel useful.
I've only played the first level. But it makes no sense to have her here. She's no different then Moira. They may not hav guns, but they actually help you carry stuff and fight enemies.
Ashley isn't so annoying when you hide her and use correctly the order mechanics, or use Leon's super human kicks to keep enemies away while staying in between them and Ashley.
It's kind of weird I never had a problem with miss Sheva. Every once in a while it's something sketchy happens but I've never had a problem like a lot of other people say. Maybe I'm just a freak of nature!

She has a 'waste rockets and grenades on rats, ants and unarmed, almost dead, isolated weak zombies' option and a 'harass the player by forcing weak pistol ammo in their inventory, when they're desperately trying to pick up health items and more powerful weapons and ammo, such as grenades and shotgun shells' option. Sheva Alomar is thicker than a brick. When they bring back RE5, for its inevitable remake, they should massively improve her AI. Then - and only then - will she be the highly trained operative we deserve as a partner.
I can understand Ashley being annoying and immature for a 20 year old, like, she's been sheltered as the president's daughter, kept safe and protected with most of her concerns being with her grades and what to shop for with her friends. It's understandable that what happened to her in RE4 would be traumatic.
I’m surprised Mia Winter is not on the list. Imo, a woman who keeps secrets from her own husband and who’s associated with a criminal organization deserves to be on a worst character list. Even keeps secrets from Chris (someone who kept them safe) in Village bout Ethan. She’s very lucky to have Ethan cuz I would’ve given up on her in Re7.
I genuinely felt that Mia was one of the most grating and annoying characters in the series due to her constant flip flopping. I understand she was infected but the way it was executed left me more annoyed than scared.
Miranda’s existence sort of annoys me. She has nothing to do in the story, has no character, she’s a random dude from the 1700s, and is lazily shoved into the origin just because she knew Oswell E Spencer. It’s so lazy when we could have had a cool villain. It lowkey makes me mad
Personally, I found an issue with what was presented as just an escaped B.O.W. being retconned as the fungal AntiChrist. I mean, 7 had the horror of ONE B.O.W. being terrifying, but then she became the original one.
I did say in the start of the video that it could be based on gameplay mechanics too 😅 but yeah I debated removing her but she annoyed me so much that I decided to include her. If I had to replace it tho it would probably be with Helena as she annoyed me with her “I’ll tell you later” attitude throughout Leon’s campaign.

The reason Capcom has so many annoying or boring characters is because (with the exception of Revelations 1) no one survives past 1 game, they introduce so many that could be developed and worked on to become more (Steve, Piers, Alex Wesker, even Simmons) Revelations 1 nearly everyone survived but we havent seen Jessica, Raymond, Parker, Keith or Quint again
IMO, Helena Harper is the most annoying character in the franchise. Her entire personality is just "Don't worry, I'll tell you later" which translates to "I'll tell anything when my sister is saved or dead". That is literally the entire first half of Leon's campaign and I can't stand her.
And the fact that shes let off scott free after being one of the main reasons thousands of people died. IMO shes the worst RE characters, most of the bad characters are just boring whereas Helena is downright hateable
Man, I agree with this list so much. But my undying hatred for Steve puts him at number one for me. Hopefully we get a cvx remake so they can fix him. At least Irving's parts are shorter, even though he sounds like a dumbass

Why does everyone hate on Ashley?! I’ve heard the criticism, played the remake first then played the OG and never had a big problem with her. I guess I’m just good at maneuvering her and kinda worked out a strat but it really isn’t rocket science. I rarely have to heal her, she’s only gotten snatched away a couple a times (a lot less than the remake for me), and I didn’t even know you could kill her while trying to save her until I did it in the castle by accident 😂 and I’ve only done that like twice. I always shoot the guys in the legs to try to avoid shooting her. I like her voice and think the way she calls is cute and funny. And I like her little bit snappy-ness. She’s got some bite to her and I like that. Too bad these days that = bitch which she isn’t. And she can also fight back some by throwing objects which remake Ashley can’t do outside of that one battle she helps Leon in. Unlike Female characters I’ve found that are viewed as “good” are the rude ass tough types. Like remake Jill, while she’s not the worst she’s unnecessarily rude to those around her. I still love her tho so don’t kill me. And I find her cute. Her hair, her boots, her sweater, her voice. It kills me when she’s on these lists. Who also kills me when they’re on these lists is Steve. Every time I find him on these lists I’m always surprised at how one of the reasons isn’t his original voice. But it doesn’t stop me from loving him. His immaturity and hitting on Claire while I understand why people have an issue with it, HE’S 17! Also go to Dark Side Chronicles they did a pretty good job on his character there. I think I’ve spoken the majority of my peace here. Sorry for being so long.
Okay, I could understand the point on Natalia if she sounded like OG RE4 Ashley, but she doesn't sound like OG RE4 Ashley. She does say the same lines quite a bit but, and this is coming off two back to back runs of the game, a regular run and a run for collectibles. Natalia's voice is fairly tame and not at all annoying and quite honestly? Because of this the repeated lines aren't as noticeable to me. I don't get why she would get annoying? Especially when the game constantly makes use of her even in single player and her voice is tame enough where "the monsters are coming" just kinda sounds like background noise after awhile. I would also defend Ramón Salazar if it was the remake Salazar but i actually agree that OG RE4 Salazar is pretty annoying.
I freakin love natalia, unlike ashley….a full grown adult….natalia despite being a literal child….can KILL ENEMIES! She can actually defend herself! She is an absolute badass compared to characters like ashley. Fuck simmons, tho tbh re6 was pretty much summed up by a quote from dbz abridged freeza “Stop that! Stop….not dying!”
Moira from Revelations 2 is perhaps the 2nd most annoying character in the entire Revelation sub series. I found nothing wrong with Jessica and Natalia.
I hate Jake Muller... The caracter is a complete failure to make a nice Wesker because they thought fans of Wesker needed a nice Wesker guy to play with... In the end he's just a cliché, Steve Burnise-like caracter, but more childish crybaby. Developpers tried to make him look like a badass with kung fu moves and cynical jokes but every time he just makes me uncomfortable
Including Sheva here was uncalled for just because of her AI. Her and Chris share the same ai so that's no excuse to put her here, may as well list Chris too with that logic then. Or Josh from desperate escape and Jill from lost in nightmares.
Agree with almost every entry except for Sheva, I can't bring myself to hate her. Instead of her I would have put either Mia, Lucas, Eveline, Miranda or Irons from 2R (the guy was just a complete shadow of his original self, instead of the creepy vibes he had in the OG, he just comes across as an annoying guy)

Sheva isn’t annoying. It’s an AI issue. If you’re playing as Sheva, then Chris’ character has the same exact issue. Sheva is a great character! Therefore, she shouldn’t even be on this list. There’s actual annoying characters in the series who deserve that spot.
The original Salazar was the best. The perfect villain,who looks funny and dumb at the same time. Iam hating Simmons,too. But the fights was very actionful ans I liked them. Original Ashley Was really annoying,but I still miss the ballistic line in the Remake 😅

When i first played Resident Evil 4 (2005). When Ashley made the comment about over time, i thought she was an extremely horney teenager. Because i had assumed she was like 16. I literally googled her age when i finished, and when i found out she was 20, it made me hate her even more.

I feel the opposite about Salazar. I loved his campiness in the OG 4, but his look and voice annoys the crap outta me in the Remake. His boss fight is worse as well, imo.

They don't have to cut Irving out of an RE5 remake, they just need to have Jill figure out that he left the laptop behind early and snuff him in retaliation. Chris and Sheva find his body, leave, then hear a noise behind him and realize he wasn't just a victim, he was also a test subject. May the odds ever be in their favor lol.
both revelations have a soft spot in my heart for being one of the few games i could run on my crappy laptop back in the day. but goddamn. GODDAMN jessica, quint, and keith... i was literally sitting through cutscenes and playing as/with them and thinking "i hope you get killed", and i was very pissed at the end of revelations when jessica was alive. sure, it made sense that the triple agents were working together. faked their deaths, yadda yadda. but i remember watching the cutscene and saying "WHY." not only is she too obsessed with chris, but she doesn't seem to care about what's happening much at all. yeah, she does the job, but she'll spend that whole time talking about herself or trying to flirt. call me weird, but i'm not worried about your lobster dinner when i'm trying to, yknow, SURVIVE. if/when they ever remake code veronica, i just hope they give him a makeover similar to ashley (who, btw, i thought she was aged up in the remake, and i only recently learned she was always 20... i stg i thought she was like 15). he can be an edgy 'nobody understands me, don't talk about my parents' type of backstory, but he needs to teeter closer on the line of campy and serious than just having a sad backstory but stupid lines.
There is so much to unpack about Steve as a character and none of it is good. I still think of how I could have used those machine guns while he wasted them on a few scenes just for dramatic flare.
Hate to burst your bubble, but remake Ashley is more annoying to escort since she constantly gets in line of fire and gets apprehended a lot due to her constant running around like a headless chicken. Original Ashley is very easy for me to escort and never got her killed or taken away once in my over 50 times of finishing the original RE4. Finished the remake about 16 times, with a lot of moments of Ashley getting killed because of no way to get her to stay still save for those limited hiding spots. Just keep getting in my line of fire compared top the original. No doubt Remake Ashley is better character wise, but wasn't really a significant hurdle to surpass since the original wasn't really that annoying either.
Currently replaying Revelations 2 and yeah cant really stand Natalie. Its her " THERES A MONSTER! When i can clearly see that theres a monster gets on my nerves. Or when she exposes herself to a monster when im sneaking up on it...and yes im aware i can tell her to stay but i dont think about it every single time.

I definitely understand the hate Ashley gets, but some of it I think is undeserved. People say she's a damsil in distress, but I'm a dude and in that situation I would be a damsil in distress too. Though that "Leon HEELP" is forever locked in my brain. Though her fist bump during the gondula section is adorable. Irving and steve sucked. And simmons boss fight felt like it lasted for half Leon's campaign. Hated that fight. Oh and those characters from REvelations were awful. Parker was an ok addition but the rest were terrible and detracted from Chris and Joll. should have just been a game with those 2 working together, which we'd never seen. Hell Raymond could have been on the list. I don't hate Natalia, though I played the game once near a decade ago. Salazar I thought fit in perfectly with re4's cheesy vibe.

Ricardo Irving is actually one of the deepest characters in the series “Ya making me look BAD” with this line, we can infer that with the way he sees things, he’s morally justified to do business with Tricell and “evolve humanity” as he’s been told. Why is this roid-head and sexy black chick interfering with this violence and barricading our progress with such hatred? Tragic figure if there ever was one.
I remember most Resident Evil games having bad AI characters which the worst one is Operation Raccoon City from my experience because you have 3 AI characters should you but they don't do anything where you'll be in a gun fight to find out that you are the only one who's shots does anything so it's pointless even having a AI team. The best AI characters is in Outbreak.
Derek Simmons was easily one of my least favorite characters. Weird Ada Simp, dumb exaggerated transformations. Well… I wont say I didnt like the design of his forms, all three. The T-Rex was the coolest, the giant fly was wild and I love the symbolism. The smaller form was alright. It was just stupid how he was able to sprout so much mass and then able to compress it all into human form over again. The C-Virus was a combination of G and Veronica.. so it kind of makes sense for it to be extremely aggressive, and who knows how powerful the variant was that Simmons was infected with.. well I guess we SAW what it could do and it was insane. But his character was pretty lame imo

Ashley was cute. Sheva had terrible A.I. in a co op game of all things. Salazar was memorable and creepy, but also tragic. Jessica was a forgettable, hot chick with a nice ass and really bad one liners. Steve was annoying, but he’s just a kid in a really bad setting and trying way too hard to impress and older woman. He was written way better in the Dark Side chronicles. Simons was a dollar store Wesker knockoff in a boring game with ridiculous forms and contradictory motivation. And Irving was an obnoxious underling with an irritating voice.
Steve Burnside should be no1. Irving at least has the excuse to be a moron: he's a villain. Steve on the other side is just an annoying prick. Also, I would include Jim Chapman on this list with his constant whimpering and crying.

But on Professional, when Sheva just wouldn’t go for Jill, even when I had her restrained, this exact reason is what made me go ‘yup, I see exactly why she is on the list. I know people think she shouldn’t be on because ‘her character isn’t annoying’ (and Tbf, I actually like her as a character), she can be a as good of a character as she wants. but if the ai has a tendancy to fuck you over (especially on Professional, like the Jill/Wesker fight), that is BEYOND aggravating and in my mind definitely fits the bill of annoying.
I would have honestly replaced Sheva with Alfred Ashford personally lol. I can’t really fault the character because of her AI, Alfred as a character is just annoying as hell. 😆

Keith and Quint are so overhated Imo, i actually find them quite enjoyable to play as, Quint might be a tad over the top. but he seems like an actual nice guy at the end of the day, and Keith to me just seems like that older brother, who does pick on you from time to time, but he's always got your back
Steve may be annoying at times, but he has been through a lot and it does not get better at all for him. Plus he at the very least helps by giving you the gold luggers, and clears a path for Claire on Rockfort Island. He also has a much easier chance getting through Battle Game mode.
redeeming qualities of Steve... He kills his father to save Claire (would not be easy for anyone, especially not for him), He, as I mentioned before, helps throughout the first half of the game (the luggers were locked up, trying to get them yourself traps you. without Steve Claire wouldn't have had enough ammo to get through that corridor by herself and still have enough to get off the island. without Steve Claire couldn't even get off the island since if she is the only one on the plane when it takes off then who would be able to both keep the plane airborne and take out the tyrant? even if she had a miracle there, without Steve, Alfred would've likely killed her either in the manor while disguised as Alexia, or in the Antarctic base.) He even sacrifices himself while in BOW form, something almost no one can do since at that point the virus is in control, you aren't, and manages to save Claire from being crushed by Alexia's tentacle. No Steve would mean Claire would be dead. What does Ashley do that is more helpful for Leon than what Steve did for Claire? Ashley cannot even fight!
"Steve is a creep, no means no". Ironic how Claire is saddened by Steve's death, didn't seem offended by his actions in the slightest, and when Wesker mentioned he took Steve's corpse during the outro, Claire was furious. Chris almost never defends Wesker now that he knows Wesker works for Umbrella, yet he literally held Claire back from attacking him. Sure, Claire would not be a match for Wesker, and Chris himself, at that point, also wouldn't be much of a fight as evident by their fight, Wesker only retreating cause of the base nearing self-destruction. I see plenty more redeeming qualities with Steve Burnside than with Ashley Graham.
I loved Jessica and her comments, but hearing her again makes me remember Megan Fox as Nitara in MK1. Maybe some of her lines fell short due to the voice acting. Other than that, I think Rebecca deserves more to be in this list than Marcus or Salazar. Let's be honest, she had zero survival skills, she should've died eaten by leeches, and Steve had more of a personality that agreed to his age than her.

James Marcus was possessed, Ashley's just a teenager who also didn't ask to be put in her situation (and was voiced by Carolyn Lawrence whom a lot of people love), and at least Steve has a noble sacrifice! Not to mention that Simmons was replacing REs best villain, in the biggest--and what we thought of at the time, last--RE game of the main series! I woefully disagree with your last two picks. Steve was a 17 year old boy stuck in an all male prison for several months after seeing his mom die to only kill his undead father after. He obsesses over Claire because she is a hot, badass college girl and he is kid in love. I agree that some scenes involving his ignorance and *ahem* poor choices, should be removed and/or altered to make him look better in the remake but corny dialogue is not a valid argument when the whole game has corny dialogue. I am shocked and baffled that Alfred Ashford was not in this spot instead. Irving... He's so fun. why you gotta hate the guy? Rich guy from Brooklyn wants to fund crazy shit because it will make him more rich. Is that REALLY that hard of a pill to swallow? It's very common for rich douches to want more money lol. He is in such a short amount of the game i genuinely did not even think he would be on this list. He is a golden Brooklyn goose egg in the middle of hell and I will adore him for being such a funny piece of shit.

Love your vídeos bro. I have yet to see on UA-cam a top 10, 15, or 20 most useful guns in resident evil games. Not necessarily the best but was is your most go to guns in these for example Mine would be a shotgun for the most part. I would love to see a video around that caliber maybe even split it per game anyways keep these vídeos going 😁.

I think that Steve Burnside was more depicted as a 17 year old boy, rather than him just being a creep. I know it doesn't make it any less annoying, but just because he was checking Claire out, doesn't mean he's a creep or a stalker. He's a hormonal teenager and I think that's why he's annoying. I agree with you opinion all the way, but I think you missed the mark just slightly on your reasoning. I think including Sheva sorely for her being a bad AI is not right since the title says "annoying characters" and that usually relates to character interacting with the plot and plot-wise Sheva's neat (I just think that it's a bit annoying that Jill took a backseat since she was there from the beginning of the series and deserves just as much as Chris does).
Take Natalia out, she's the best to play as. If you level up her brink she can one-shot enemies that Barry can't without the magnum. My brother and I love her quotes as well! We often say them whenever we see a small girl in any game (Sherry in re2, Shai in bdo, etc) I always switch to her as soon as I do a Barry playthrough because she’s less likely to been seen, if she takes damage she recovers on her own, and she can see through walls

Completely agree. Her and Barry are the more fun to play as since Natalia is a lot more useful than Moira and Claire and Barry almost play the same. I only use Moira when I enter dark areas and need light or come across something that needs a Crowbar, otherwise it's always Claire. With Barry and Natalia I use them quite evenly for 2 reasons. 1: She can see monsters and monster weak points, this is especially useful against Revenants, Glasts, and Alex Wesker, and her Brick even without being leveled up stuns enemies which is awesome. 2: The game does a great job with how most of the areas Barry and Natalia go through are designed. In single player you're forced to use them both when going against the 3 enemies I previously mentioned and they get a lot more segments where you either a) need to use Natalia to activate stuff for Barry or crawl through holes to perform a task or grab loot or b) entire sections where her and Barry are split up and you need to use them both to progress. The lift segment in the final Episode is the best example of this but it also happens in the Sewers as well. Claire and Moira only get split for short segments. Even the factory escape segment is pretty short and outside of whenever their split Moira's is more useful as an ai partner(especially given the ai is great at stunning enemies and healing your characters at the right time) than she is as the player character. She only gets use when split up for a short period or when the Crowbar needs to get used(which is less often than the crawl spaces and chests come up for Natalia). So yeah, I really appreciate how well they made Natalia really feel useful.
I've only played the first level. But it makes no sense to have her here. She's no different then Moira. They may not hav guns, but they actually help you carry stuff and fight enemies.

It's kind of weird I never had a problem with miss Sheva. Every once in a while it's something sketchy happens but I've never had a problem like a lot of other people say. Maybe I'm just a freak of nature!

Sheva Alomar is thicker than a brick. When they bring back RE5, for its inevitable remake, they should massively improve her AI. Then - and only then - will she be the highly trained operative we deserve as a partner.

I can understand Ashley being annoying and immature for a 20 year old, like, she's been sheltered as the president's daughter, kept safe and protected with most of her concerns being with her grades and what to shop for with her friends. I’m surprised Mia Winter is not on the list. Imo, a woman who keeps secrets from her own husband and who’s associated with a criminal organization deserves to be on a worst character list. Even keeps secrets from Chris (someone who kept them safe) in Village bout Ethan. She’s very lucky to have Ethan cuz I would’ve given up on her in Re7.
I genuinely felt that Mia was one of the most grating and annoying characters in the series due to her constant flip flopping. I understand she was infected but the way it was executed left me more annoyed than scared.

Personally, I found an issue with what was presented as just an escaped B.O.W. being retconned as the fungal AntiChrist. I mean, 7 had the horror of ONE B.O.W. being terrifying, but then she became the original one.

The reason Capcom has so many annoying or boring characters is because (with the exception of Revelations 1) no one survives past 1 game, they introduce so many that could be developed and worked on to become more (Steve, Piers, Alex Wesker, even Simmons)
Revelations 1 nearly everyone survived but we havent seen Jessica, Raymond, Parker, Keith or Quint again
Time to pour one out for Piers, the best character in RE6. Hoping he comes back as like an anti-wesker, no body no crime.
Plus there's enough forgotten RE characters to have thier own game. Most survived to the end and haven't been seen since.

IMO, Helena Harper is the most annoying character in the franchise. Her entire personality is just "Don't worry, I'll tell you later" which translates to "I'll tell anything when my sister is saved or dead". That is literally the entire first half of Leon's campaign and I can't stand her.

Why does everyone hate on Ashley?! I’ve heard the criticism, played the remake first then played the OG and never had a big problem with her. I guess I’m just good at maneuvering her and kinda worked out a strat but it really isn’t rocket science. I rarely have to heal her, she’s only gotten snatched away a couple a times (a lot less than the remake for me), and I didn’t even know you could kill her while trying to save her until I did it in the castle by accident 😂 and I’ve only done that like twice. I always shoot the guys in the legs to try to avoid shooting her. I like her voice and think the way she calls is cute and funny. And I like her little bit snappy-ness. She’s got some bite to her and I like that. Too bad these days that = bitch which she isn’t. And she can also fight back some by throwing objects which remake Ashley can’t do outside of that one battle she helps Leon in. Unlike Female characters I’ve found that are viewed as “good” are the rude ass tough types. Like remake Jill, while she’s not the worst she’s unnecessarily rude to those around her. I still love her tho so don’t kill me. And I find her cute. Her hair, her boots, her sweater, her voice. It kills me when she’s on these lists.
Who also kills me when they’re on these lists is Steve. Every time I find him on these lists I’m always surprised at how one of the reasons isn’t his original voice. But it doesn’t stop me from loving him. His immaturity and hitting on Claire while I understand why people have an issue with it, HE’S 17! Also go to Dark Side Chronicles they did a pretty good job on his character there.

Okay, I could understand the point on Natalia if she sounded like OG RE4 Ashley, but she doesn't sound like OG RE4 Ashley. She does say the same lines quite a bit but, and this is coming off two back to back runs of the game, a regular run and a run for collectibles. Natalia's voice is fairly tame and not at all annoying and quite honestly? Because of this the repeated lines aren't as noticeable to me. I don't get why she would get annoying? Especially when the game constantly makes use of her even in single player and her voice is tame enough where "the monsters are coming" just kinda sounds like background noise after awhile.
I would also defend Ramón Salazar if it was the remake Salazar but i actually agree that OG RE4 Salazar is pretty annoying.

I hate Jake Muller... The caracter is a complete failure to make a nice Wesker because they thought fans of Wesker needed a nice Wesker guy to play with... In the end he's just a cliché, Steve Burnise-like caracter, but more childish crybaby. Developpers tried to make him look like a badass with kung fu moves and cynical jokes but every time he just makes me uncomfortable

Agree with almost every entry except for Sheva, I can't bring myself to hate her. Instead of her I would have put either Mia, Lucas, Eveline, Miranda or Irons from 2R (the guy was just a complete shadow of his original self, instead of the creepy vibes he had in the OG, he just comes across as an annoying guy)

both revelations have a soft spot in my heart for being one of the few games i could run on my crappy laptop back in the day. but goddamn. GODDAMN jessica, quint, and keith... i was literally sitting through cutscenes and playing as/with them and thinking "i hope you get killed", and i was very pissed at the end of revelations when jessica was alive. sure, it made sense that the triple agents were working together. faked their deaths, yadda yadda. but i remember watching the cutscene and saying "WHY."
not only is she too obsessed with chris, but she doesn't seem to care about what's happening much at all. yeah, she does the job, but she'll spend that whole time talking about herself or trying to flirt. call me weird, but i'm not worried about your lobster dinner when i'm trying to, yknow, SURVIVE.
if/when they ever remake code veronica, i just hope they give him a makeover similar to ashley (who, btw, i thought she was aged up in the remake, and i only recently learned she was always 20... i stg i thought she was like 15). he can be an edgy 'nobody understands me, don't talk about my parents' type of backstory, but he needs to teeter closer on the line of campy and serious than just having a sad backstory but stupid lines.
There is so much to unpack about Steve as a character and none of it is good. I still think of how I could have used those machine guns while he wasted them on a few scenes just for dramatic flare.
Hate to burst your bubble, but remake Ashley is more annoying to escort since she constantly gets in line of fire and gets apprehended a lot due to her constant running around like a headless chicken. Original Ashley is very easy for me to escort and never got her killed or taken away once in my over 50 times of finishing the original RE4. Finished the remake about 16 times, with a lot of moments of Ashley getting killed because of no way to get her to stay still save for those limited hiding spots. Just keep getting in my line of fire compared top the original. No doubt Remake Ashley is better character wise, but wasn't really a significant hurdle to surpass since the original wasn't really that annoying either.

Currently replaying Revelations 2 and yeah cant really stand Natalie. Its her " THERES A MONSTER! When i can clearly see that theres a monster gets on my nerves. Or when she exposes herself to a monster when im sneaking up on it...and yes im aware i can tell her to stay but i dont think about it every single time.

I definitely understand the hate Ashley gets, but some of it I think is undeserved. People say she's a damsil in distress, but I'm a dude and in that situation I would be a damsil in distress too. Though that "Leon HEELP" is forever locked in my brain. Though her fist bump during the gondula section is adorable. Irving and steve sucked. And simmons boss fight felt like it lasted for half Leon's campaign. Hated that fight. Oh and those characters from REvelations were awful. Parker was an ok addition but the rest were terrible and detracted from Chris and Joll. should have just been a game with those 2 working together, which we'd never seen. Hell Raymond could have been on the list. I don't hate Natalia, though I played the game once near a decade ago. Salazar I thought fit in perfectly with re4's cheesy vibe.

I remember most Resident Evil games having bad AI characters which the worst one is Operation Raccoon City from my experience because you have 3 AI characters should you but they don't do anything where you'll be in a gun fight to find out that you are the only one who's shots does anything so it's pointless even having a AI team.

3) Remake Ashley is far better than her older counterpart.
Derek Simmons was easily one of my least favorite characters. Weird Ada Simp, dumb exaggerated transformations. Well… I wont say I didnt like the design of his forms, all three. The T-Rex was the coolest, the giant fly was wild and I love the symbolism. The smaller form was alright. It was just stupid how he was able to sprout so much mass and then able to compress it all into human form over again. The C-Virus was a combination of G and Veronica.. so it kind of makes sense for it to be extremely aggressive, and who knows how powerful the variant was that Simmons was infected with.. well I guess we SAW what it could do and it was insane. But his character was pretty lame imo

But on Professional, when Sheva just wouldn’t go for Jill, even when I had her restrained, this exact reason is what made me go ‘yup, I see exactly why she is on the list. I know people think she shouldn’t be on because ‘her character isn’t annoying’ (and Tbf, I actually like her as a character), she can be a as good of a character as she wants. but if the ai has a tendancy to fuck you over (especially on Professional, like the Jill/Wesker fight), that is BEYOND aggravating and in my mind definitely fits the bill of annoying.

Keith and Quint are so overhated Imo, i actually find them quite enjoyable to play as, Quint might be a tad over the top. but he seems like an actual nice guy at the end of the day, and Keith to me just seems like that older brother, who does pick on you from time to time, but he's always got your back
Carla Radames gets really overlooked by the fanbase. Without her (and Simmons, of course), Resident Evil 6 wouldn't have been the mess that it was!
Steve gets a lot of hate but don’t forget he’s literally 17 he’s an actual child so yeah he’s jaded and annoying like most teenagers 😂
Steve may be annoying at times, but he has been through a lot and it does not get better at all for him. Plus he at the very least helps by giving you the gold luggers, and clears a path for Claire on Rockfort Island. He also has a much easier chance getting through Battle Game mode.
redeeming qualities of Steve... He kills his father to save Claire (would not be easy for anyone, especially not for him), He, as I mentioned before, helps throughout the first half of the game (the luggers were locked up, trying to get them yourself traps you. without Steve Claire wouldn't have had enough ammo to get through that corridor by herself and still have enough to get off the island. without Steve Claire couldn't even get off the island since if she is the only one on the plane when it takes off then who would be able to both keep the plane airborne and take out the tyrant? even if she had a miracle there, without Steve, Alfred would've likely killed her either in the manor while disguised as Alexia, or in the Antarctic base.) He even sacrifices himself while in BOW form, something almost no one can do since at that point the virus is in control, you aren't, and manages to save Claire from being crushed by Alexia's tentacle. No Steve would mean Claire would be dead. What does Ashley do that is more helpful for Leon than what Steve did for Claire? Ashley cannot even fight!

Ironic how Claire is saddened by Steve's death, didn't seem offended by his actions in the slightest, and when Wesker mentioned he took Steve's corpse during the outro, Claire was furious. Chris almost never defends Wesker now that he knows Wesker works for Umbrella, yet he literally held Claire back from attacking him. Sure, Claire would not be a match for Wesker, and Chris himself, at that point, also wouldn't be much of a fight as evident by their fight, Wesker only retreating cause of the base nearing self-destruction. I see plenty more redeeming qualities with Steve Burnside than with Ashley Graham.

I loved Jessica and her comments, but hearing her again makes me remember Megan Fox as Nitara in MK1. Maybe some of her lines fell short due to the voice acting. Other than that, I think Rebecca deserves more to be in this list than Marcus or Salazar. Let's be honest, she had zero survival skills, she should've died eaten by leeches, and Steve had more of a personality that agreed to his age than her.
10. Surprised to see Salazar this low on the list, I would figure at least top five. Then again he’s honestly such a joke that I don’t see him as that annoying.

James Marcus was possessed, Ashley's just a teenager who also didn't ask to be put in her situation (and was voiced by Carolyn Lawrence whom a lot of people love), and at least Steve has a noble sacrifice!
Not to mention that Simmons was replacing REs best villain, in the biggest--and what we thought of at the time, last--RE game of the main series! And he wasn't even CLOSE to being an acceptable villain or character!

Number 3: Ashley graham RE4 remake. Never had a problem in gameplay with the original. I think if we switch up ashley RE4 remake and put it in the original, the character will be perfect
I woefully disagree with your last two picks. Steve was a 17 year old boy stuck in an all male prison for several months after seeing his mom die to only kill his undead father after. He obsesses over Claire because she is a hot, badass college girl and he is kid in love. I agree that some scenes involving his ignorance and *ahem* poor choices, should be removed and/or altered to make him look better in the remake but corny dialogue is not a valid argument when the whole game has corny dialogue. I am shocked and baffled that Alfred Ashford was not in this spot instead.
Irving... He's so fun. why you gotta hate the guy? Rich guy from Brooklyn wants to fund crazy shit because it will make him more rich. Is that REALLY that hard of a pill to swallow? It's very common for rich douches to want more money lol. He is in such a short amount of the game i genuinely did not even think he would be on this list. He is a golden Brooklyn goose egg in the middle of hell and I will adore him for being such a funny piece of shit.
I like Alfred Ashford because you don't really see him coming. Like a guy who cross dresses as his sister, is a whiny little semi incompetent brat. A breath of fresh air for being kind of a wild card.

Love your vídeos bro. I have yet to see on UA-cam a top 10, 15, or 20 most useful guns in resident evil games. Not necessarily the best but was is your most go to guns in these for example Mine would be a shotgun for the most part. I would love to see a video around that caliber maybe even split it per game anyways keep these vídeos going 😁.

I think that Steve Burnside was more depicted as a 17 year old boy, rather than him just being a creep. I know it doesn't make it any less annoying, but just because he was checking Claire out, doesn't mean he's a creep or a stalker. He's a hormonal teenager and I think that's why he's annoying. I agree with you opinion all the way, but I think you missed the mark just slightly on your reasoning. You made fun of Ashley for acting like a child as a 20 year old woman, but didn't acknowledge the fact that Steve was the teenager Ashley acted like.
