Swamp N Stomp is a channel or vlog, whatever you want to call it, dedicated to helping the hunting community grow, specifically in Florida. Studies show that the majority of modern hunters had family members who raised them as hunters, and a large portion of non-hunters want to hunt but don't know where to start. By documenting our hunting adventures, making instructional or tutorial videos, and really anything-hunting-related videos, we hope to help bridge that gap by providing practical information for beginner and experienced hunters on how to become a better and more ethical hunter. Click that subscribe button and join us for the ride! Thanks for watching!

Glad I found your content as South Florida hunting is unlike anywhere else. & public land WMAs can be a challenging as F!😉
Finally got a couple of quotas this time & looking to get back in the swamp.
Great video , very helpful to a (new to Florida ) hunter
Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
Great video
Thank you
Nice video 🤙🏼 first time applying for permits this year around central Florida , looking forward to it. God bless us all and happy hunting🙏
Thanks for the very informative video, Sir! I've got several applications in and as I'm awaiting the drawing period, I was curious if you could help me understand the next step should my number get drawn. Specifically, it seems like there is a claim period with which you have to pay for the quota permit and I was wondering if you know round about what the time frame is to claim your quota. Thanks again!
You only have to claim NWR permits, because u have to pay for them. You can claim them any time before the next drawing phase. -Mark
If you were to apply as an individual, are you allowed a guest?
For Deer and Hog quotas, yes. For special ops permits or any NWR permits, no guests. For most duck permits you get 2 guests, but check the brochure of where you are hunting. -Mark
Great I want to go one day with you
First time CFL hunter here. I shotgun applied to my local-ish quota locations and I won one for archery and one for rifle. I know its probably not the best way to get prime locations but Im new and learning, so now I just have to nut up and go be comfy in the woods alone. Hope the skinchangers dont get me.
Nothing wrong with randomly applying, but there is something wrong with wasting that opportunity. Just get out there and give it your. Eat and that all you can do. Skin changers are scared of water… hunt by water! -Mark
It's cool to go to the special opportunity hunts public land check station and see the bucks killed each year by the same randomly selected hunters. So awesome
Still never drawn special op hunt. Maybe one day… it’s too much money for me though
Probably y they had a mix up this year someone’s buddy didn’t get the quota
Do you they give you tags
No we have a digital tag system. You check in the deer online or over the phone. -Mark
We all know this is not a randomly drawn permit. Fwc, park rangers, officials, police, get preferences. Its funny that one FWC officer i talked to said he hunted the picayun every year. And i see the same trucks parked at the station year after year during season.
Negative. It’s just that there’s a strategy to it and those ppl are probly playing the game right. The system doesn’t know what your job is… but if you really think u know, the drawings data is public record. Request it and show me that there’s bias. I’ll bet money on it that you are wrong on that. -mark
@@SwampNStomp This FWC officer hunts the picayun year round , you mean to tell me that is random? I had an officer from collier tell me the same thing, they give preferences to them, I dont want to disclose thier info, but I can assure you they told me.
@@SwampNStomp random and strategy is very different and not even a synonym to each other . So choose one strategy or random?
Hey man love ur channel
Let me ask u if I did not get any quote this year mean I can not go hunting deer ?? I’m been looking everywhere for some information I don’t see anything
There are places to hunt where you do not need quotas. They get a lot of pressure but there’s plenty of deer to be found! In fact, I just killed one tonight in a non-quota area! Good luck! -Mark
@@SwampNStomp thanks I will look into it . Keep doing what u do ur channel is great 👍
Mark, Any idea when they will release the draw results?
Should be mid week next week! -Mark
So to shoot from a saddle in the tournament, you have to bring a saddle?
If you have one or if you don’t, we have a bunch of loaners!

Thanks
I just got my first ever quota hunt for general gun today, but I can’t find where do I look for bag allowed, for me , for my guest hunter and how to apply for a doe tag. Anyone who can help?
Find the WMA brochure for that hunt. Under “general gun season” it will tell you what is legal to hunt. It will Literally say “legal to hunt:” with a list of species. Then under the section “bag limits” it will tell you how many you can harvest, and how many the guest can harvest. Often time you share the bag limit with the guest. Also most of the time you will not be allowed to shoot does with a gun quota, only archery. Hope that helps -mark
@@SwampNStomp oh man, thank you so so much for the info. It is greatly appreciated. I wish everyone would be as helpful as you’ve been. Thank you thank you!!
