RUT HUNTING in the RAIN in Zone B, Florida (SNS 2023-24 #3)

- In this episode, John heads out to Zone B for a quota permit Archery hunt. Bowhunting can be tough, especially when you can see a big buck for hours, and have to sit through the rain hoping that it’ll come closer. The hunt doesn’t get easier, as John crashes his Ebike, on day 2. But he stays persistent and manages to shoot a Florida Stud of a buck at just twenty yards. A shot to the spine drops it in its tracks and he is able to get a quick follow up to the vitals. Enjoy!

Swamp N Stomp is a channel or vlog, whatever you want to call it, dedicated to helping the hunting community grow, specifically in Florida. Studies show that the majority of modern hunters had family members who raised them as hunters, and a large portion of non-hunters want to hunt but don't know where to start. By documenting our hunting adventures, making instructional or tutorial videos, and really anything-hunting-related videos, we hope to help bridge that gap by providing practical information for beginner and experienced hunters on how to become a better and more ethical hunter. Great hunting, and commentary as always.
Congrats nice buck !
Awesome hunt
Nice buck 🦌
Good stuff shaggy getting me hype for this coming season
Nice buck . Good follow up shot right in the pump house 👍. I've spined deer and had to do the same. Good job not letting him suffer long.
HaHa, that was awesome. Nice recovery once he got your scent. I thought you were @ full draw when he came up on you and was expecting the shot before he busted out. So that's Hoyt with 2 Swampers I seen this year. Beats Danny and Mark ? Great job hanging in to get that first shot.
He’s the only one shooting a Hoyt. He didn’t catch his scent either. I think the camera moving create a flash in the glare of the sun. The struggles of filming a hunt! He definitely kept it together and made it count though! -Mark
Yeah it was either slight movement of the camera or a glare as mark said. And I’m the only one shooting a Hoyt. Interestingly I shot that buck unknowingly with a split limb on my bow from the bike crash day before

If you bought it new, Hoyt more than likely will warranty it. Problem is our Hoyt dealers are scattered down here and not sure the clout they carry ? That a Charger or Nitrux ?
Damn dude I enjoyed that. Good shooting man. Thanks for sharing my brother🤙🏻
Nov 4 it's on. If you know you know.
Awesome kill shot on camera! Good job
Awesome buck. Going to the slough sept 1st
Daaaamn. That Montec did a number on him!!! Please can you tell me you arrow setup? Arrow nerd in me has to ask lol. Top, top video. thanks for sharing mate.
I believe he is shooting victory VAP SS with 50 grain insert and 100 grain head. Total weight of approx 500 grains. Thanks for watching. Don’t forget to subscribe! - Mark
I’m shooting vap ss arrows I think I’m right around 510 g with inserts and my 100 g g5 megameat. I still shoot expandable. I probably will continue to shoot these until they fail me… I don’t like change and they have been working even when my shots haven’t been perfect.
@@SwampNStomp Ive been subscribed for a while. Its all good.
@@jmenor4116 I always think 500g to 530g is a sweet spot. So your right in the pocket. I dont use expendables but if i did it would be for sure the Montec ones. They seem to work for a lot people. I use the Montec G5 for most my compound hunting and the Jager 200g on my trad bow. I killed a huge cpw elk in Canada a couple years ago with that head. Thanks for the info mate. The arrow nerd in me is satisfied and very impressed lololol.
Deff not a montec! It was a dead meat
What type of gps you use
Where can I find that game cart?
I believe it’s home made
I got one at academy sports but the wheels aren’t as wide as this one. Definitely a life saver. I wheeled my buck out over a mile last season and didn’t even have to stop for a breather
Promoting a camo only to cover it up with a mainstream brand?
At the time, we didn’t have warmer options in our camo yet. Now we do! Go check em out 😉
You notice he spotted me without it 😂
In all honesty I was cold and I didn’t have a high pine hoodie at the time
Cold in Florida? Lol , wt was it 65 lows wind chill of 58 ? Lol
