I use Andalou facial scrub weekly, which is very gentle, and scrape with a tiny blade monthly. I also use a PMD monthly. That's it. Afterwards, I pack on aloe vera gel and moisturizers. I use hyaluronic acid every other day.
I just recently found your channel, and love it. I think your gray hair is absolutely beautiful, and so are you! I really appreciated your willingness to share your personal journey of work, choice to retire, and your recent relationship ending. Somehow, it draws me in while listening to your story, not that I’m enjoying your pain, but that identifying season/chapter - which, at one time, I felt very isolated in and alone bc all my friends were still married. I have been a long time faithful watcher of Dominique Sasche’s beauty channel, in where she recently revealed her separation, and now unfortunately the divorce. And again… many of us can identify the feelings and pain we hear and see that she is willing to share with us on UA-cam, while holding back with respectful restraint in how much information she shares. But all the same as women we can feel the pain thru the TV, and join in mutual support for a beautiful soul. And when you were willing to share your story, my heart was warmed the same way, and wanted to thank you for having the courage to to do so in this very public forum where people aren’t always so nice.
I use Paula’s Choice Peel Mask maybe once or twice a month. It’s much gentler than TO red peel, but it has slightly weird smell that fades quickly. Very effective! I also like the new SA serum from TO - not the oily one drowning in Squalane, but the reboot of their old one. I only use it maybe 1 or 2X a week cuz it can be drying. I’ve become very squeamish about exfoliators now. The thing is, you can think you’re tolerating them & they fool you! After using them for months, with nothing wrong - BOOM, irritation station can happen suddenly!
Hi Tamara as someone with ultra sensitive rosacea and eczema prone very dry skin, I have to be very cautious with exfoliants. I use retinaldehyde (cell turnover) and a microfibre cloth daily - which does give me daily exfoliation, but when my skin needs a bit more my two favourites are: by Wishtrend 5% Mandelic acid around the perimeter of the face, plus neck and chest. A gentle toner type product my skin doesn't really have issues with. The paula's choice calm 1% BHA in the centre of the face. I buy the 30ml travel size and it lasts me months and months. It's a gel texture I can place just where I want it and that 1% is the sweet spot for BHA for me. I use a lot of rich creams as I'm so dry and this (in combination with my azelaic acid used on other days for rosacea) keeps my pores clear. As I use so little it's not an expensive product to use for me. I follow up with one of two affordable sheet masks I love. The Benton goodbye redness centella sheet mask is super hydrating/soothing on the skin and the dear, Klairs soothing sheet mask is very moisturising. Both are in the £2 to £3 price range and available from many places. I do this once or twice a week depending on how my skin is doing. Obviously in an active flare I'm not using any exfoliants - ouch no. I also use a urea cream as my night cream which also provides an extremely gentle exfoliating effect. This combination stops me having flaky skin and after a flare has healed takes away any residual dry eczema patches. All of these are fairly budget picks and might be of interest to others with super sensitive skin. Best wishes.
Thank you so much Lorraine for taking the time to share your experience and recommendations for sensitive rosacea prone skin! I am sure it will be helpful to many. Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️❤️❤️
I am starting my second bottle of The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% that is all my skin can tolerate and I use it about 2-3 times per week if that. I keep my skincare pretty simple due to my sensitive skin and redness.
During the pandemic, I tried my first ever med spa medium strength chemical peel. This treatment had the most dramatic positive impact on my skin. The texture of my skin (little bumps on my cheeks) improved tremendously. It also helped clear some of my hyperpigmentation (sun spots). My skin does peel around day 3 so scheduling is critical. I make sure I don’t have any outside appointments during my peeling days. I am 69 and have sensitive skin. I’ve folded this treatment into my annual medspa care…I do this twice a year.
Hello, can you please let me know what kind of chemical peel did you do? I have light olive skin color and I think chemical peels not all of them are advisable. Which one did you use? Thank you.
@@Chris77690 it’s called a VI a peel. I have it done in the office by a trusted aesthetician. I did my homework, watched a few you tube videos and made sure I prepped my skin in advance, e.g., stopped Curology 5 days in advance. I returned to the spa one week later for a dermaplane procedure and facial. The process is a commitment but is SO worth it! Good luck!
You’re so Beautiful…but even more so with you’re cute bloopers! I loved it when you said, “this is gonna take forever to edit.” Laughter and happiness are the best beauty tips you share. Thank you Tamara! 🙏🏻💚🙏🏻
My absolute favorite chemical exfoliator is the L'Bri Rejuvenating Facial Peel. Works incredibly well in just one minute, and yet is SO gentle! It leaves my skin looking bright and feeling super soft, but there is ZERO burning, stinging, irritation, redness. It actually feels soothing, and it smells great, too. Best product ever.
Hi Tamara! Happy Birthday! 🥳 Terrific video. Another exfoliating product which is more drugstore is Alpha Skincare 12% (I think) Glycolic Serum. I’m like you, decide what my skin needs and use different products accordingly. For those who may have issues with serums, toners or masks, there are glycolic cleansers and SA cleaners that are used only 1-3x/wk in AM away from Vit C. etc. THANK YOU for reviewing Versed (note: not pronounced like the med but like “well-versed”) peel. I think most of their products are geared more towards the teen-30ish pop. The one product I loved from them was discontinued. I haven’t tried the drunk elephant products because of cost. I’m interested in the pumpkin enzyme mask. I hope today was a beautiful day for you. ~V 😊🥳💖💜🌹❤️
Hi Tamara! Very informative. I use a Buff Puff when cleansing most days. I use TO AHA BHA mask once a week at most. It doesn’t irritate my skin I just forget to use it. Recently I bought Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme. 5% glycolic acid, plus HA and other stuff. I use maybe 2 or 3 times a week and oh my gosh I notice an immediate effect. My face looks and feels so smooth!
The Face Shop makes a physical exfoliator called Smart Peeling. It has a texture that is like an eraser with no hard bits. It is recommended by Lab Muffin.
Great info! I have used the drunk elephant an it did nothing for me ,I have oily skin ,not sensitive at all, will try the ordinary, also I have been using pixi glow tonic and that one has worked, don't know how but I do see a difference 🙃❤
Hi, Tamara! Thank you for the wonderful video! I am in my mid-50s and just started a skincare routine last July. I currently rotate The Ordinary AHA/BHA, The Ordinary Glycolic Toner, and the Bay Harbor Beauty Pumpkin Enzyme mask, but I do not use them daily. You mentioned that the pumpkin mask might be your favorite product from Bay Harbor Beauty, but have you you tried the cleansing balm?! I'm very excited about it! I just very recently purchased it for the first time and it is becoming my favorite product! I've tried the Clinique Cleansing Balm, and still have the Hadalabo cleansing oil, but I was literally "ooh"-ing and "ahh"-ing the first time I tried the Bay Harbor Beauty Sake Cleansing Balm. Depending on which sunscreen I use, I often don't have to follow the cleansing balm with a second cleanser!
Thank you so very much Tamara!!! This is the best, most informative video on exfoliation that I’ve seen on You Tube! I’m in my sixties as well, and you have truly helped me understand! Have a wonderful Sunday! 🌞
Does anybody else remember the Buff Puff facial sponge? That was my go to for washing my face for ages and then I couldn't find them anymore and I was so sad. I realize now that the Buff Puff was too scratchy and probably too harsh for my face, but it took years for me to find tools/products to do the same job more gently. I use the PMD Clean and CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser to wash my face and I switch between using the Pixie Glow Tonic (glycolic) and the Clinique Daily Clarifying lotion (salicylic) for daily exfoliation. Once a week or so I try to use a AHA mask- right now I'm using the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask, but I have used the Drunk Elephant before. I like them both.
Oh my gosh yes! The Buff Puff! Been there done that. I think they still sell it? Thanks for the walk down memory lane and for sharing your routine! Pixi Glow Tonic is a classic for sure. ❤️
Versed products I have been loving - Retinol Body Lotion & Advanced Retinoid Eye Balm (balm is for night use). Thanks for Bay Harbor Beauty recommendation.
APRI! OMG! I had forgotten about that! Imagine we all were scratching our faces with ground up apricot kernels! It still is on the market, but now has "microbeads" in it that do the exfoliation ..... Love the City Beauty mask, Go Pure makes an exfoliating mask with glycolic acid and Turmeric which is also lovely although not the same premise as the City Beauty. I use a pineapple enzyme "scrub" mask once every couple of weeks, or if I am a little flakey. I'll also us the Queen Helene aloe cucumber peel off mask. Just ordered the drunk elephant that you were talking about... we'll see how it goes! Have a wonderful week!
Snoopy Happy Dance on another great video. I enjoy two Versed products; Firm Ground Retinol Body Lotion (Angie Hot & Flashy recommended) & On the Rise Firming Serum (peptide + resveratrol)
I really like the Versed cleansing balm as my first cleanse. I’m sorry you didn’t like it. It’s very hydrating and It helps remove most of my foundation before I use a mild cleanser.
I tried the cleansing Milk, not the Balm. I can’t remember which UA-camr gave the Balm a negative review or what she said…but good to hear something positive! Thank you for sharing!!
I have a Versed retinol body cream on the way...It was recommended by some Dermis on YT. I'll let you know. Also, I use the Ordinary Lactic Acid. It comes in 5% and 10%. I have both and use one or the other once per day, depending in my skin sensitivity. Cheap n keeps my skin soft as a babiy's bum. I might try your last product when I can fit in into my budget. Thanks for all of your guidance😍
Hi Tamara, Have you tried the Drmtlgy Tingl Exfoliating Pads? I usually try to use it once a week. I also bought the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask, and I can only leave it on for 5 minutes. My face turns pink if it is left on any longer. I have dry mature skin, and sensitive skin. Just wondering if they are good choices for my sensitive skin? Thanks!
Wow! what a fantastic and comprehensive simple to understand Roundup of exfoliation! I now understand several things I didn't quite understand before, such as what not to use alongside exfoliants, and plan to run out and buy the products that you have recommended- especially the mysama as I have heard that it also potentiates led face masking. Thank you! And BTW I can't get over how pretty you are! 🤩
Wow. What a treasure trove of great advice! I have learned a lot from this fantastic video! I’m 65 and a newbie at skincare. I so needed this video. There is a very famous you tube make up artist who recently made a video on Drunk elephant. He recommended using the body lotion instead of way more expensive face product. Would love your thoughts on this. I so trust your advice. Thank you for such a valuable video!
For what it's worth, I checked the ingredients tab under that resurfacing mask on the Versed website. It said there's 2% lactic, 2% glycolic, and .15% salicylic acid in it. Oh, and the Good Molecules powder cleanser is pretty good for me to do here and there.
Love this! I prefer physical exfoliating with a muslin cloth once or twice a week. I recently, quite by accident bought an exfoliating toner (thought I was getting a regular toner) that I'm using once or twice a week and I do the Baby Facial maybe every few months!!
I use a gritty exfoliated by mixing it with a creamy cleanser. That makes it gentle enough to still work but without creating tears on my skin. I usually have a jar of Kate Somerville Exfolikate. I definitely cannot use that by itself because it will cause tears on my face that takes several days to heal. This was a very informative video. I knew a lot of the items you covered but it’s great to have it all in one place. Thank you Tamara, I always enjoy your videos.
Wonderful information. I've really backed off the daily acids as well. My routine had gotten more and more simplified recently. Listening to your skin is so important. Thakd for sharing your journey.
We're exactly the same age! In my very early 20s I had 2 dermabrasions which were done in hospital. They really evened out the texture of my problem areas. I would do it again.
Hello Tamara, thanks for your very informative post. I think I may purchase the pumpkin mask (if I can get it in Aus). May I ask which eyelash curler you use? Your lashes are gorgeous 😍. Many thanks Sharon🌿
I enjoy your videos so much. I’m also 62 and have learned many tips and tricks that have improved my skin care and makeup routine. And I love the bloopers at the end😂😂
This is such a great topic Tamara. Who wouldn't want to know how to get radiant skin without the burn?! It makes me really happy that you love my ABP11 toner. It was a labour of love for two years to get the formula right. Btw - I love that lipstick shade on you. Take care my beautiful friend xxx
Happy Birthday Tamara!!! I hope I heard you correctly in saying your 62 today. Have a Blessed Fun Filled Birthday Thank you for your Explaining about the exfoliants. I agree with Lisa on Peaches skincare about not using the correct exfoliant and or using too many times. It’s hard to figure out the right balance to ones skin.
Thank you but not my Birthday today... I should have fixed that in editing as I understand how I accidentally gave that impression. But thank you for the kind wishes anyway!
Thank you for a great video! Coincidentally you mentioned Eminence skincare which is an excellent brand. I've just ordered the Strawberry and Rhubarb Dermafoliant but would be interested to hear your thoughts about the Stonecrop version.
Hi Tamara, great info on exfoliation. I despise the ‘peelies’ but won’t stop the RetinA. I’ve found that TO Lactic Acid in the mornings helps. I have TO red peeling solution as well but forget to use. I’m interested in the pumpkin enzyme peel you mentioned. Ty for touching on this topic--much needed. 😘
I love your Sunday videos! I am very tempted to try the Bay Harbor Pumpkin Enzyme mask as you made it sound very appealing. You ask about Versed, I do like the Versed Total Body Retinol lotion quite well. It's the only product I've tried from them so can't speak for the other's, but it's made my skin less crepey. Happy Sunday Tamara.
Thank YOU! You might enjoy this review by Penn Smith that is on Maysama's UA-cam channel. Penn Smith approved! ua-cam.com/video/mnkTVv-qUhg/v-deo.html And here is Maysama's video introducing the toner: ua-cam.com/video/QOPMmIRzTTk/v-deo.html
Thx Tamara, I’ve seldom done this, so this will encourage me to try it out tonight . Thanks for the terrific research and advice ❤️❤️happy vd day friend 💐💐I’ve read many poor reviews for Versed. I was anxious to purchase but reviews turned me off..
love your videos I just started on a skin care regimen and my skin is reacting very well. thanks for all your insight on the products you are using, love the out tales at the end!
Happy Sunday, Tamara! This was a wonderfully informative video, as always! I have been enjoying the Kate Somerville Exfolikate, another wonderful cleanser is the SeroVital ComfortBead Cleanser, it's especially geared towards mature skin and I love it! Thank you so much for sharing, my beautiful friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ❤
Eminence! It's made in Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦. I like to treat myself to one of their products every year, just beautiful products. I'm currently using the Versed Glycolic Toner, I don't think it's doing a darn thing. I wanted to try it because it has niacinamide in it, so that would eliminate a separate product to buy. I also use the Sephora Glycolic Peel Pads, and I accidentally swiped it across my eye lids - yowsa.
I'm really excited to be playing with my Eminence samples! And thank you for letting us know about another Versed product to skip over. Too bad! Happy Valentine's Day!
Hi Tamara...I watched this video the day it game out...I am such a dupe when it comes to exfoliation...because I do it too much or use the wrong products or whatever. This has been such a help. I do need to get very serious about this...as I have been flakey all winter. My makeup looks horrible.Thank goodness I am wearing a mask most of the day. Other than dry skin in the winter...I have changed to AGENCY - that's not the problem - it's a good company), but they suggested I up my RA to one percent and it is really having it's way with my skin. Well, TMI - sorry...but the video was terrific. Thank you...Carol
Hello 🙂 I'm all for manual exfoliation, because I'm never sure with chemical ones and I'm kind of worried about making more damage than good. I personally use Luna 3 for sensitive skin and its silicone bristles really are gentle and they give glow to my skin without irritation. I think you should try it, maybe make a video about experience :)
Oh my gosh Tamara, I have the Versed product coming in the mail, along with their Retinol Eye Balm to try. A Derm Dr I follow on You Tube recommended both. So sorry to hear that line hasn’t worked out for you. I haven’t tried anything from them, plus I haven’t tried any type of chemical exfoliants, period. I hope it’s not a total fail for me too. 🙁 I’ve seen the Pixie Glow Tonic at Target, and was thinking of trying it out. 🤔 Thanks for all the tips and recommendations ! ☺️💜☺️
I have not tried any home microdermabrasion devices. I feel like that is a treatment I would prefer to have done at a spa or clinic. But with my current exfoliation regime I haven’t felt the need for microdermabrasion.
Hi Tamara, many good options here. I've been bad about exfoliating regularly. Needed the reminder. I have no excuse as I received a little tube from Sephora recently of Kate Somerville ExfoliKate. I didn't like the looks of that Versed one. Agree it looked like jello..lol. Thanks and Happy Valentines💝Day.
Watching your video was a very pleasant accompaniment to my Sunday morning coffee. I learned quite a lot actually and will try a couple of your suggestions. (I miss getting facials and have had Eminence ones in the past. I’ve not done them since Covid though but maybe soon…). I injured my cheeks with that dang Clarisonic brush. I have been told it’s not rosacea but actual damage. Fortunately, it’s not horrible just perpetually pink quarter-size areas. These areas can be exacerbated by exfoliants and on the plus size respond well to niacinamide serums. Now I just exfoliate around those areas. It dawned on me what makes your videos so effective beyond your charming friendly personality and that’s their structure. Whether you’re doing it on purpose or it comes naturally, it follows the pedagogy behind writing essays, papers, etc--a. Tell them what you’re going to tell them; b. Tell them; c. Tell them what you told them. It works!
That sounds awful Barbara! No wonder Clarisonic went out of business LOL. And thank you for your always kind words and support. I love seeing you here...and your sweet kitties on facebook and insta. Cheers 💕☕️💕
Hello Tamara- thanks for the exfoliating video, I am the same age that you are & have similar dry skin. My question is when I use my curology tretinonin my skin gets extremely dry & flaky. It doesn’t matter how much moisturizer I use. I want to get the Maysama toner but, is that enough of an exfoliation along with the Curology? I appreciate any guidance you can provide.
I think the Maysama would be a great place to start. Like I said…start low and go slow. The last thing you want to do is over exfoliate. You can always add a mask if your skin dies well with the Maysama. As far as the flakiness…not sure if the strength or frequency you are using Tret? But sometimes reducing the strength or frequency can help and still give you benefits. Also buffering the Tret with a moisturizer “sandwich” can help. You might enjoy this video: ua-cam.com/video/Ke4L07t-9fY/v-deo.html
This was such an informative video, Tamara!!! I think Retin-A is the absolute gold standard when it comes to anti-aging! I think it is absolutely worth the trouble and cost. I also love the Pixi Glow Tonic, and it really does help with the occasional flakes from those times I’ve overdone the Tretinoin. Love the Ordinary Red Peel, I haven’t tried the Drunk Elephant and since I didn’t experience the irritation perhaps I’ll just stick with TO☺️
A really helpful video, Tamara! I've usually relied on my flannel and sometimes a mask or a cleanser - the Inky List oatmeal - but lately I've started using the Ordinary Lactic Acid which seems gentle. You're so right about gentle exfoliating and not being too vigorous.
Hello prettiest of the pretties 💕🍃!! Can’t wait to watch & thank you as always ☺️ ps. Loved your video. Glad you enjoyed LA. I’m in SF ☺️!! I used TO lactic acid & glyc toner intermittently for ages but trying & enjoying budget friendly derma e exfoliating scrub & aha cleanser lately. Would love to try the pumpkin. Anything more too strong for me. Thanks again 🍃💕
Thank you for sharing your knowledge Tamara! Yes I used to love the St. Ives apricot scrub but it's definitely too gritty for my skin now. I've heard so many good things about the Drunk Elephant brand but haven't tried it yet. I exfoliate 2-3 times a week and very gently use one of those exfoliating gloves while I'm in the shower. Have a lovely week my friend, take care! ❤️
Tamara, Really enjoyed this video. I've used 2 of the 3 chemical exfoliants you mentioned. I've not tried the Bay Harbor Beauty pumpkin but I have used other pumpkin enzyme masks. My go to now is the Ordinary AHA BHA. Great useful information - thanks Tamara.
Thank you, Tamara! A great learning experience on my end! I do use the Eminence products. Yes, pricey! But I love them and it's my monthly treat to get their products and an eminence facial. I've been using the 'age corrective exfoliating cleanser' and use it 1-2 times a week and gently rub it on my face only in the morning. It does last a while. I bought it 2 months ago and only burned through 1/2 of it. Thank you for this video!
I so enjoyed this video, Tamara. I have been using the Bay Harbor Pumpkin Enzyme mask once a week (from your earlier videos) and I have received a sample of the Drunk Elephant mask but have not used it. So, thanks so much for your review...I will use that this week when I mask. Again, thanks so much for your reviews. I really appreciate all you do to help us age gracefully! Have a great week! xl
What a great run down of the exfoliants ! I have been using the ordinary AHA and the MAYSAMA and loving them . I am obsessed with the wash cloth lol How many times a week do you use tretinoin in your skincare routine along with your exfoliants ? I learned recently by a derma roll CEO UA-camr to not use it every night , that it can over exfoliate as you said about the exfoliants in your video .. happy valentines 💘
Hi Sue! I'm so glad I'm not the only one obsessed with the Makeup Eraser! I use my tret about 5ish nights a week...that way I can fit in the masks and also 5 times a week just seems to be a sweet spot for me. Tret lasts in your skin quite a while...that's why they say to stop using tret a week before procedures so I still feel I am getting good results even at only 5ish times a week. Happy Valentines Day to YOU! ❤️
So the two off days of using tret is when your using your mask correct ? When do you use the MAYSAMA , AM or PM , and I forgot to mention I also used to use grainy scrubs , the St Ives apricot I used I think as a later aged teen lol until I heard it was very abrasive . I’ve gotten samples from Sephora quite a few times the dr. Brandt’s exfoliant and I really like it , though I only use it if I’m really feeling peely , the AHA sometimes makes me peel . My girlfriend is a Mary Kay rep and she gave me their scrub exfoliant and I like that very much once in a while and it is reasonably priced and her products smell delish
I'd like to get her opinion on that as well. I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Highlighting Duo Pencil in Camille and Sand. I got that recommendation from Emily Noel!!!!
I used to use one by Wet N Wild....but I no longer use a nude on the lower water line. I find my Lumify eye drops actually decrease the redness not only in the eye itself, but also reduces the pinkness in the water line. Great stuff! Also, by using a light brown eyepencil close to the lower lash line it seems to neutralize the lower water line a little as well. Check out Nathalie the Beauty Diva here on youtube...I think she uses a nude pencil on her lower water line?
I love and believe in exfoliating. I have taught my clients for decades to exfoliate first before washing. I prefer a gentle physical ( ours is coffee, blueberries, pomegranates , hibiscus flower and gotu kola) just to name a few. My point, the more you do chemicals the more your skin will protect itself by thickening. I call this callous. Callous makes us appear older, dull and prevents actives from penetrating the skin. Using the right exfoliant is very important. Have a lovely day Tamara and everyone 🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa
I use a home grown raw & ripe Papaya fruit. I mush it up & leave on for 20-30 min 1-2x/week. It's soothing & hydrating. Next I'll use it before washing. Great tip!
@@PatB415 Fabulous!! I do believe in a gentle exfoliant, such as blueberry pulp or coffee grounds. You want to help the skin to get rid of the thick layer of dead dry skin cells and callous. Have a blessed day Thrill🍑🙌🏻🧡Lisa
Hi Deanna! When I went to link the video I could not find it! I just now found the video...it is SO old...literally one of the first videos I first uploaded and the quality is super cringy. So I am in the process of doing an updated and more comprehensive face shaving video which will go up this week. But if you really want to watch the original video here it is. Please keep in mind it was literally one of the first videos I ever uploaded so forgive the quality: (and stay tuned for updated version this week ). ua-cam.com/video/LfrEGAnxIWo/v-deo.html
Hi Tamara! Love this video. I use the Pineapple Exfoliating Powder by Good Molecules. It's a gentle exfoliating powder with fruit enzymes, vitamic C and rice powder. Cost is around $29 for 6 grams and it lasts a long time. But..the Emminence facial scrub sure sounds intriguing. Never heard of this line ~ looks like they have a lot of interesting products.
Hi Barbara! Thank you for sharing! Yes, Eminence is a gorgeous line! My friend gave me an amazing facial at her spa using all Eminence Products...Super cool that they actually have an organic farm where they grow all their own ingredients! I'm having fun exploring my samples! Happy Sunday! ❤️
I was in Ulta and this brand was recommended to me. Owned by Neostrata she said. I’ve used Neo years ago through myDerm for facial peels. One man thought I had work done! I was around 45 at the time.
Oh my gosh! Thank you for letting me know that I didn't include it. I just added to the description box. Paula's Choice has a AHA/BHA treatment mask, too.

Thank you so much Lorraine for taking the time to share your experience and recommendations for sensitive rosacea prone skin! I am sure it will be helpful to many. Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️❤️❤️
I love Dermalogica’s Microfoliant. Very gentle and effective. Not cheap, so look for a sale or coupon.
Great information. I favor The Ordinary one which I use regularly. It does not irritate my skin and the price fits my budget.
I am starting my second bottle of The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% that is all my skin can tolerate and I use it about 2-3 times per week if that. I keep my skincare pretty simple due to my sensitive skin and redness.

Good luck!
Thanks for the info. I haven’t used any chemical exfoliation but will try one of your suggestions on my 76 year old skin.
You’re so Beautiful…but even more so with you’re cute bloopers! I loved it when you said, “this is gonna take forever to edit.” Laughter and happiness are the best beauty tips you share. Thank you Tamara! 🙏🏻💚🙏🏻
My favorite exfoliator is the Bay Harbor Beauty Pumpkin Exfoliating Mask! It’s wonderful. Thank you for recommending it!
Thanks for sharing all this information. I was a little distracted by your beautiful earrings, I love them.
I really enjoyed this video, Tamara. Such great information. I am going to look into trying some of the products you use.
Best product ever.
sounds wonderful!! Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you for getting back to me and helping me with the peeling ❤️
I loved this video sooo helpful. Do you have any recommendations for body lotion!?
I’ve been using the Versed retinol body lotion for a week and really think I see a difference in my crepey arms
I love your personality and videos. I'm in my 30s and just getting into skincare. You're stunning, inside and out Thank you!
Your hair looks lovely. It would be good to talk about how you transitioned from your colour to grey.
I enjoy the Skinceuticals Glycolic 10 Overnight Renew. Beautiful results in the a.m. Same price as the Drunk Elephant’s Subaru. Thanks Tamara 🥰
Yay!! A Tamara Sunday skincare video.
I'm watching YOUR wonderful skin care video right now! My must try shopping list is growing! Happy Skin Care Sunday!
The Face Shop makes a physical exfoliator called Smart Peeling. It has a texture that is like an eraser with no hard bits. It is recommended by Lab Muffin.
Thank you for sharing! I trust Lab Muffin for sure!
Excellent information Tamera, you continue to be a great resource for skincare recommendations!!!
Great info!
I have used the drunk elephant an it did nothing for me ,I have oily skin ,not sensitive at all, will try the ordinary, also I have been using pixi glow tonic and that one has worked, don't know how but I do see a difference 🙃❤
Very informative! I especially appreciate that you explained your routine and how often you use these products.
Thank YOU for sharing! The sake cleansing balm sounds wonderful! I will give it a try! ❤️
Thank you so very much Tamara!!! This is the best, most informative video on exfoliation that I’ve seen on You Tube! I’m in my sixties as well, and you have truly helped me understand! Have a wonderful Sunday! 🌞
Thank YOU Cindy! I'm so glad you found it helpful! ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing!! I will check those products out. You will love Bay Harbor Beauty! ❤️
I love Versed Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream.
Great video! The exfoliants I like to use are Paula's Choice skin perfecting 2% BHA liquid exfoliant and Josie Maran's Argan sugar scrub.
Thank you so much for sharing! ❤️
I love J M products. Argan Reserve, Milk, Butter
@@AdrianaLaCerva126 Have you tried her new coffee scrub yet? I was wondering if it was good.
@@mcauble4031 No I haven’t but I did see it recently presented on QVC. It looks pretty good but is it much different from the sugar scrub.
@@AdrianaLaCerva126 ok thanks!
I have used for years ExfoliKate and it works great for me.
APRI!
Love all your recommendations! Thanks Tamara
Loved your picture u showed in your beret u look gorgeous love your Chanel learn lots from u about new products thank you
I’m not an exfoliant newbie but this is an excellent, informative and easy to listen to video thank you ❤️
Thank you Vicki! ❤️
Thank you for sharing!!❤️
Love this! I prefer physical exfoliating with a muslin cloth once or twice a week. I recently, quite by accident bought an exfoliating toner (thought I was getting a regular toner) that I'm using once or twice a week and I do the Baby Facial maybe every few months!!
I LOVED your Valentine look in YOUR video this morning! So pretty! Stay cool! ❤️
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty 90f yesterday! But, I don't mind when the days are short - lol.
Great tip! Thank YOU for sharing! Happy Skin Care Sunday Sharon ❤️
Many thanks

This is such a great topic Tamara. Who wouldn't want to know how to get radiant skin without the burn?! It makes me really happy that you love my ABP11 toner. It was a labour of love for two years to get the formula right. Btw - I love that lipstick shade on you. Take care my beautiful friend xxx
Thank YOU Bev for formulating such lovely products! ❤️
Happy Birthday Tamara!!!
I hope I heard you correctly in saying your 62 today.
Have a Blessed Fun Filled Birthday
Thank you for your Explaining about the exfoliants.
Are your on the Prevnar commercial, it sure looks like you? I enjoy your videos!
Thank you Marla! And no, that's not me on the Prevnar commerical. Happy Sunday!
Thank you for a great video! Coincidentally you mentioned Eminence skincare which is an excellent brand. I've just ordered the Strawberry and Rhubarb Dermafoliant but would be interested to hear your thoughts about the Stonecrop version.
I just watched this video that u did 1 year ago. Could you do an updated version .. thank you
Hi Tamara! Thank you for all this good information. I am currently using a product by Paula’s Choice as I found The Ordinary to harsh for my skin.
Tatcha rice polish...very gentle 😊
That one has been on my radar…I need to give it a try. Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Just when I was going to ask about people with Rosacea you showed the Maysama toner. I can’t wait to try it. Thank you.

Hey Tamara I use the ordinary exfoliant product . I also do chemical peels twice a year they’re so good 😌
Happy Sunday, Tamara!
Thanks for all the tips and recommendations ! ☺️💜☺️
Have you tried the PMD exfoliation device? If so. Thoughts?
Thank you Dez! I love The Ordinary Lactic Acid! Such a gentle, yet hydrating exfoliator! Thank you for sharing! ❤️

Thank you Gabby! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Happy Skin Care Sunday! ❤️
Very helpful
I so enjoyed this video, Tamara. I have been using the Bay Harbor Pumpkin Enzyme mask once a week (from your earlier videos) and I have received a sample of the Drunk Elephant mask but have not used it. So, thanks so much for your review...I will use that this week when I mask. Again, thanks so much for your reviews. I really appreciate all you do to help us age gracefully! Have a great week! xl

May I suggest the Truth Treatment sheet mask. It is so good!
Thank you for sharing! I will check it out!
Happy birthday 🥳 xx
Thank you! But It it’s not my Birthday….I can see where it sounded like it was my Birthday. I BV should have edited that out! But thank you!
Great video, what nude eyeliner do u recommend to use on lower water line?
I'd like to get her opinion on that as well. I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Highlighting Duo Pencil in Camille and Sand. I got that recommendation from Emily Noel!!!!
I used to use one by Wet N Wild....but I no longer use a nude on the lower water line. I find my Lumify eye drops actually decrease the redness not only in the eye itself, but also reduces the pinkness in the water line. Great stuff! Also, by using a light brown eyepencil close to the lower lash line it seems to neutralize the lower water line a little as well. Check out Nathalie the Beauty Diva here on youtube...I think she uses a nude pencil on her lower water line?
thank you , as usual
Hi, how you combine the exfoliating toners using retin a, if you used the exfoliating at night or day can you use retin a?
Great tip!
@@PatB415
Fabulous!! I do believe in a gentle exfoliant, such as blueberry pulp or coffee grounds. You want to help the skin to get rid of the thick layer of dead dry skin cells and callous.
Have a blessed day Thrill🍑🙌🏻🧡Lisa
