I'm getting lot's of questions and feedback regarding incorporating Copper Peptides into a skin care routine. My understanding is the main contraindication with Copper Peptides is not to use L Ascorbic Acid and Copper Peptides right next to each other. The PH of L Ascorbic Acid serum is not compatible with Copper Peptides and using them together can reduce the effectiveness of both actives. The Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream does not contain any L Ascorbic Acid...just Vitamin C derivatives and it does not have an acidic PH. Most of the information advises to NOT use RetinA and Copper Peptides in the same routine. (Including on the Diceum Website) From what I can tell, the reason seems to be not so much an actual incompatibility...there is no PH issue, but using them together CAN increase the risk for irritation. I have been using both together in my routine for several weeks with no irritation...but my skin is super acclimated to RetinA after years of use. Perhaps I am being greedy in not wanting to give up my daily RetinA OR L Ascorbic Acid...LOL....But I do want to include the information that the *Diceum Website and many other resources do advise to alternate Copper Peptides* with either Retinol in the evening or L Ascorbic Acid in the AM. As always, please do your own research and do what is right for you. Also, Would LOVE to hear how YOU incorporate Copper Peptides into your routine...we can all learn from each other ❤️

I couldn't agree more about using a humidifier. I started using them in my house last winter and couldn't believe the difference they made. Bought one more just last week.
Very timely video, Tamara, since the heat is becoming a part of our days and nights. Thanks for the information on The Ordinary products. And the reminder of layering products! I always enjoy seeing and hearing your demonstrations. Have a great week! xo
Tamara, PennSmith gave a nighttime skin care routine quite a while ago and advised not using Copper Peptides with RetinA and to alternate nights using them. So, I use my RetinA four nights a week and the Copper Peptides by Niod or Ordinary three nights a week.
Hi Gabby! Yes, that's one of the reasons it took me so long to get on Copper Peptides...so many pairing issues...and I didn't want to give anything up. LOL. I recently saw some info that said that the reason not to combine Copper Peptides with Retinol is due to potential irritation...sort of like not using an AHA and Tret at the same time...but that they functioned fine together. So I thought I would give it a try...even though I have not had any irritation I have gotten so much feedback that it is a no no...will need to do more research and perhaps adjust. Thank you for sharing your routine! ❤️
Hi Tamara, Another great video. Still watching you from Palm Springs where today it was in the 90's a week before Thanksgiving. My skin is ready for winter temps. Take care and keep the video's coming. Tamara
What a great in depth review of your nighttime skincare routine. Since I've incorporated an LED face mask into my nighttime routine, I think I'll give the Maysamma serum a try! Thanks Tamara; this is a great video, really appreciate the time and thought you put into it.
LOVE your skin!! Question: I have been using my (perscription) Tretinoin on first after washing (because it is most important/knowingly effective step. Why do you put it on towards the end of your night regimen?
Awesome description of Retin A, Retinol and Retinaldehyde (sp?). I’m so enjoying my Curology subscription and it was interesting to hear your ingredients.

Hello Tamara, I enjoyed your video...I love seeing what others are using and how. A question about Curology...I started using it when the company launched...and then I heard about AGENCY...the spin-off company of Curology supposedly for the mature woman. I switched and I am very happy with the company. It is the same premise regarding cost and shipment and service...my formula was changed just a bit...for the aging lady and concerns. I (and I am sure others) would love to hear your thoughts on this - if you have any. Thanks for your research on Copper -Peptides. I haven't tried it just yet. Oh, and one more thing...I have tried and love the Derma e cbd serum....it is great to put on to calm winter skin. It's now a staple. Have you ever used it? Have a great week.
I love your videos! In addition to Copper peptides not being recommended with L-ascorbic acid, I've read that copper peptides are also not supposed to be used with Retin A. I do not know the rationale as to why. Thank you for your videos! I will be buying the Maysama. It is recommended to let Green tea absorb for 20 minutes prior to using red light therapy (again, rationale, couldn't tell ya.)
Thank you Shakera! My understanding is that Copper Peptides are compatable with RetinA, but some people find it too irritating to use both together on the same evening...many people will alternate evenings...I forgot to mention that because my skin tolerates both really well. Happy Sunday and thank you for being here!
I'm glad for your winter skincare. I have really dry skin and winter is no joke in Minnesota. I'm always looking for good recommendations for a really hydrating moisturizer!
Right!? My skin is ALMOST normal in the summer, but our Minnesnowta winters really do a number on my skin! The other one I mentioned in some video's recetnly is Dr. Jart's Ceramidin Cream...a little pricier...and no fancy actives, but super rich in ceramides and humectants and acts almost as a shield against the cold dry air. Stay Warm! 🥰
You know I went to bed with my makeup on for about 15 years 🤪. Just too lazy I guess. Though I didn’t wear sunscreen or foundation back then. But now I can’t stand sleeping with any makeup on. The maysama actually colored my skin! It was so strange!
Love the Mad Hippie cleanser, thanks for the recommendation, now I have to try the night cream! Yay, I just bought the Ordinary Buffet but haven't started using it yet, looks great! It's no wonder you have amazing skin my friend, beautiful! Have a wonderful week! 💗
I love your channel!!! I have skipped the copper route because of the conflicts. Good morning! I recently added the Buffet + Copper peptides on nights off from tretinoin and I am very happy. The Deciem ( De-see-em) sale includes this now and I was also thinking about the copper animo isolate from Niod. I also believe you should not use the copper peptides with any strong antioxidants. I did purchased the Survival 0 serum to use in conjunction with my timeless q10. 😊
Thanks for explaining the difference between all the retinol, retin a, ect...vit A derivatives. I still am not incorporating, not sure why, partially the cost. Especially if I have to go to a derm to get. But may try drugstore. I do enjoy the Mad Hippie products though. You're right, November is a good time for skin care prep for months ahead. Great week Tamara, see ya next😉🍁🍂
Happy Sunday beautiful friend! Like always, your video this morning is a wonderful lesson on the importance and the role products play in our PM skincare routine. Thank you! I finally began cosmetic micro needling about 2 months ago, and decided it was time to get copper peptides into my skincare. I bought the copper animo isolate from Niod and have been using it only when I micro-needle. My face loves it (unlike the Ordinary Buffet, it is very watery). I also recently started using TO Buffet before putting on Curology. But with the 23% off Niod sale, I decided to get the bigger bottle--and a pump---that I may use nightly in place of Buffet. I'm in uncharted waters so not completely sure. :) Enjoy your day, have a great week, and I'll see you next Sunday. Hugs!
Cool! How exciting about Cosmetic Micro needling! Do you do any Medical Micro Needling or only the cosmetic? Do you use a roller or a pen? And how often? I need to get on that band wagon!
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty You ( and Claudia) got me on the band wagon when you started to dermaroll. lol. I decided on a Dr. Pen A6. Hey Tamara 👋 how you doin honey! I watched your AM Skin care routine which I found absolutely gorgeous to watch hon! And I have to say sweetie iv enjoyed your PM Routine just as much ! I'm very much into my hydrators and also my Tretinoin prescription from Dermatica... which is absolutely fantastic 👏 it really is.... and they let you not only pick your formula babe, but they also let you alter it when ever you want to... like I decided that, cos I use so many separate products.... such as the Ordinary 10% Nycinamide... and also my Lactic acid serum. I wanted nothing els but Tret in my Retin A script... so emailed Dermatica and asked them to put my script up to 0.5 Tretinoin (I'm now fully Retinised and loving my results, after 16 weeks!) and that's it, I don't want anything els in my script, just Tretinoin, so I get the full effect of it when I use it! 😀 Anyway sweetie, enough of me, thank you so much for such a lovely upload Tamara honey, Take care, Lots of love Tia ❤
Happy Sunday, Tamara! I enjoyed learning about your routine. I have dryer skin in winter too and use the DRMTLOGY Needleless serum (I believe it has copper peptides). I have used their moisturizer and love it and recently started using the Eucerin coq10 - and it's a good one. Have a beautiful week!
Thank you Christine! How did I not remember that!? I guess I'm covered for Copper Peptides! DRMTLGY has some great products and I am looking forward to their Black Friday Sale for sure! Eucerin CoQ10 sounds awesome! Happy Sunday! ❤️
Your skin is glowing and youthful. Can you go over the difference of why you stopped straight tretinoin for Curology? Your percentage being .07 % I'm wondering what percentage of straight tretinoin you were formally using? I'm temped!
Hi Donna, I had heard such great things about Curology that when I ran out of tret I decided to give it a try. I had been on 0.1% for years, so thought I could bump up to 0.14% like Angie is on....to my surprise my skin could not tolerate it. When I consulted with Curology to go back down to 0.1% they said they did not have that strength available and she put me on 0.7%. Not sure why they wouldn't have 0.1% available? I think it has to do with the way they compound the formula. Anyway...I was so happy with the 0.7% I decided to stick with it. Even after all those years at 0.1% I would go through periods of dryness and irritation...I think the 0.7% is the sweet spot, my skin seems to love it. What I love about Curology is I am getting 3 actives in one cream, so I was actually able to eliminate a separate Tranexamic Acid Serum I was using so the cost sort of evens out and it's a simpler routine. Also, the consistency of the cream is a bit more elegant than straight tret....seems to spread more easily and evenly. And it's so easy...it just shows up in the mail right when I need it.
Surprised to hear your Curology Tret % is .07, after using Tret for so many years. Is that what you can tolerate? Should we all be aiming to eventually use .1%? A little confused about that. Oh & others seem to pronounce Decium “DEH-see-yum” not Die-seem” as you said. But who cares? You be you! 😀
So funny that Sukoyaka Suhada and Tetrahexydectal ascorbate just roll off my tongue but Decium has me stumped. LOL...and good observation on the strength of the Tret...I used 0.1% Strength for so many years...and when I first went on Curology they upped me to 0.14%. I was really surprised I could not acclimate to that strength (that's the strength Angie uses). So to help my skin recover I bumped down to 0.07%. And I have enjoyed it so much that I have just stayed there. I had to be SO careful when using the 0.1% and the 0.07% is just a little more forgiving if that makes sense. That's another thing I love about Curology...they can customize the strength between the standardized strengths that the usual RX comes in. (usually only available in 0.025%, 0.05% and 1.0%)
Loved this video Tamara! I got the HadaLabo oil cleanser and it’s terrific! Takes off stubborn eye makeup without a hiccup. By the way, I got it on Amazon. Also I got the two Mad Hippie products from Ulta. Love, love, love them! The Japanese essence I got also on Amazon. I bought two because last week when I tried to find it it was out of stock. Thanks so much for telling us about these awesome and affordable skincare products! I love when you do videos On skincare!
Such a useful video, Tamara, thank you! Completely agree about Revitalash - my eyelashes are so long now they occasionally bump into my eyeglasses! I've been considering adding copper peptides into my night routine so I'm going to look further into doing this. I use a retinal by Medik8, but I don't add any further cream on top, but with winter coming, I may consider it. We're not so cold in the UK at the moment, but it won't be long...Oh, and on how to pronounce Deciem :) - I think it's "dess-ee-em"!
Good Morning Tamara! Such a cute headband - I would really like to get a new headband, the one I have now doesn't stay on very well. The sales are fantastic in November to stock up - I did purchase quite a bit from the Ordinary. I also stocked up on quite a bit of sunscreen and cleansing balms. I love the makeup eraser cloths - I have (5) of them - they are great! I was going to by the Foreo Bear, but I have decided that the derma rolling that I do currently is enough right now. I have been very pleased with the Ordinary products lately - they are working well for me, especially the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (I use if every night - what a difference in my skin). Enjoy your day - have a great week - see you next Sunday! ❤💄💋💕 xo
Good Morning Tracey! The headband is actually a Makeup Eraser Head band that came in a set...I've had it for a while...it stays on really well. Happy Sunday! ❤️
Got the Mad hippie cleanser on your recommendation and I love it. I was surprised how small the bottle is…definitely pick up more when Ulta has buy one get one 40% off
Tamara I am new to living in a cold climate here in Idaho. What DJ you do to protect your skin when you go outside in the winter? The air literally hurts my face.
I've lived in Minnesota all my life and I'm still always a little surprised by how dry my skin gets in the winter...I can only imaging how shocking it must be to be new to a cold climate! One thing that really helps is using a humidifier in my bedroom at night. But when I am doing outside activities I need EXTRA protection. My two must haves for outside activities are Dr. Jarts Ceramidin Cream...VERY rich, emollient and a little occlusive so it actually feels like a protective shield. And my new SPF love...Jose Maran Argan Oil SPF 47 untinted. I reviewed it last spring and thought it was too heavy and greasy...but my winter skin drinks it up and LOVES it. Again, it feels like a protective shield. My mom actually used to put vaseline on her face before going skiing, but I just don't like the way it feels. Dr. Jarts: howl.me/ciJCMQHJi6W Jose Maran: howl.me/ciJCNGKqe1d Hope this helps!
Such a great video! Thank you for putting your updated routines on your channel! I just started my RetinA journey and starting off slow with PCA for sensitive skin. I also do LED (how I found you!) a couple nights a week. I'd like to add your roobios suggestion! So the question is, will you still do your retinA routine after your LED/Roobioss? Or will you wash it off before you finish your PM routine? Thanks so much! You have gotten me excited about my skin care! :)
Yay! I'm so glad to hear you are excited about skin care! I don't rinse the Rooibos off after LED (don't want to waste the lovely serum)...I just continue with my evening skin care...RetinA etc. I'm glad you found me too 🥰
What is your thought of using copper peptides at night along with Curology? Other UA-cam channels say don’t use them together, use them opposite nights. Thank you for your feed back. 🌺🌺
Great question Marcie and I wish I had gone into more detail in the video about combining them. I just pinned this comment: I'm getting lot's of questions regarding incorporating Copper Peptides into a skin care routine. I am also finding lots of recommendations to not use RetinA and Copper Peptides in the same routine. The reason is not so much an actual incompatibility...meaning there is no PH issue, and they do not cancel each other out...but using them together CAN increase the risk for irritation, so common advise is to alternate evenings. I have been using both together in my routine for several weeks with no irritation...but my skin is super acclimated to RetinA after years of use. If I develop an irritation I may have to adjust the routine but so far so good. If you are new to either active, common advise is to alternate nights. Hope this helps!
@@dashnja.9202 Do you mind me asking what strength your on now! I use both and I was told to alternate them on the evenings. This is good info. Thank you! 🌺
Love Tamara too! Appreciate the copper and retin-a info! And SO agree ... the whole entire world sees and watches with such worry for us all. Hugs from Vancouver. xo
Good question! I forgot to explain in the video...but I did put up some text to help explain....Copper Peptides can't be mixed with L Ascorbic Acid due to the PH of the L Ascorbic Acid...But the Mad Hippie Triple C Cream contains no L Ascorbic Acid...only Vitamin C *_Derivatives_* which are not at a ph that is detrimental to Copper Peptides.

Anyway sweetie, enough of me, thank you so much for such a lovely upload Tamara honey,
Take care,
Lots of love Tia ❤
I have discover Eucerin Q10 moisturizer for face. Wow it’s amazingly hudrating true moist and its so affordable.
You are the second person to recommend that! I am going to give it a try for sure! Thank you for sharing 🥰
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty Thank you for the sale reminder and all. :)
Hi Tamara! Great video, filled with great advices/suggestions! xx, Marisa
Love the hairband you're looking great girl xx
Thank you Catherine!
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty You had me at "a bit more elegant". I'm sold!
Good morning, Tamara! Looking so adorable in your headband! 🥰
Good morning Cat! Happy Sunday! ❤️
I love when you do videos
On skincare!
Thank you Marian! I'm so glad my recommendations are working for you! ❤️
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty I will have to check for the combo pack :)
Got the Mad hippie cleanser on your recommendation and I love it. I was surprised how small the bottle is…definitely pick up more when Ulta has buy one get one 40% off
I did too. Love the mad hippie cleanser. Doesn’t sting my eyes. 💕

@@TamarasTimelessBeauty thank you so much!
I'm glad you found me too 🥰
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty Awesome! Thank you! Ordering the Rooibos now! :)
I use Curology and The Ordinary Copper Peptides nightly. I am on the highest Tretinoin percentage they offer.
@@dashnja.9202 Do you mind me asking what strength your on now!
I use both and I was told to alternate them on the evenings.
This is good info.
Thank you! 🌺
@@marcieflannery8923. Sure I am on the highest strength - .14%
Tamara, please tell me what that beautiful nail polish color is?
Thank you Anastasia! It is Sally Hansen's Color Therapy in the color Eiffel in Love. ❤️
You look beautiful wearing this hair band 😍♥️
Thank you Luvs! Happy Sunday! ❤️
The problem with Copper peptides is that you are not supposed to use them after Tretinoin.
💖 Happy Sunday! ..... Hugs from Alabama, USA, ~ Deb
Love Tamara too! Appreciate the copper and retin-a info! And SO agree ... the whole entire world sees and watches with such worry for us all. Hugs from Vancouver. xo
Hi Deb from Deb in Mississippi 💕🔹💕
I need help my skin looks terrible. I’m 54. I keep getting pimples and just really dull looking skin. I use Dove soap.
Estee Lauder owns DECIEM now.
Love Estee Lauder.
Dankjewel !
Maybe it"s just me but I"m not seeing the list of products you used in todays video???
So its ok to mix mad hippie vit c cream with the copper peptide?
Good question! I forgot to explain in the video...but I did put up some text to help explain....Copper Peptides can't be mixed with L Ascorbic Acid due to the PH of the L Ascorbic Acid...But the Mad Hippie Triple C Cream contains no L Ascorbic Acid...only Vitamin C *_Derivatives_* which are not at a ph that is detrimental to Copper Peptides.
Hello Tamara, I believe it is pronounced: Dess - E - M.

.0% retinoic acid? Was that a mistake?
Yes! Lol…I did put a correction text on the video. I’m using 0.07% Tret.
