Having successfully snapped my Pull start on the VX 18 engine of my rebuilt 1/10 Truck, I decided to replace it with a drill start system. Follow this tutorial to replace your starter with an easier to use drill start system. - Авто та транспорт

You can do this with just a drill, a socket wrench extension and the right sized socket for the nut that the pull start mounts onto that you see at 2:50
What size backing plate are you using? I ordered a power starter that and the backing plate was a few MM to big for my VX-18 engine -

I have a Nocarossi engine that was built for the revo platinium the gear in the ritor start is always braking i cannot find the rotorstart to buy can you tell me what other rotorcstart might work oreven a pull start o have 2 of these engines brand new i am ready to smash them with a hammer i just started rc about 9 years now and i have been watching your channel you give good advice i am 61 i will be thankful for any help i live in the Caribbean so parts are not easy to come by and to get parts in my hand is very ecpensive i dont mind the price but it must be the correct thing stay safe and have fun i am also a biker

Can I just use a single speed transmission on HSP nitro buggy and will this drill starter work on a nitro HSP backwash buggy because I plan on getting a one speed transmission and just putting my two speed transmission gears in the one speed transmission because I lost the BB and the spring
Dear after watching this video i remove my broken pull cord and use drill machine to start the engine by using somthing to hold the bearing and it works for me but after sometime the bearing slips and now it is moving freely without starting the engine because my drill is 4800 rpm help plz
How will you start it? If I do this my starter bit will hit the rear end. Can it be rotated?
hi I have a question, I have a cen genesis nx .76 motor. I replaced my pullstart with a grill start. when turning the motor, should I turn it clockwise or counterclockwise. because when I turn the motor clockwise it just spins. but when I turn it counterclockwise it sounds like it want to start

Hi does any one know carb settings for this vx18 low speed factory setting i need i cant get it to idle long its pretty new and run in good now just about 17 tanks through it new cluch too but wheels spin a bit tryed idle 1mm lower and higher its like its too rich even at 1 half turns out lsn.

i have a kyosho GS11 engine, it has a round shaft not a hex, so cant use this .. its also a total pain to find a replacement pullstart as the all seem to be hex these days :O(

Do you set drill to forward or Reverse?
Looking at one of my vx 18 engines, the pull starter turns the crankshaft clockwise from the rear. Basically, because of the "one way" thingamajig, if your drill won't start the engine in "forward", simply put it in " reverse". I hope this helps.
I bought a small drill with a redcat rod, when I install it I give it to start the car but this instead of turning to the right turns to the left, what would you recommend me to do?
Is it a regular drill or a drill start designed for Nitro engines? Regular drills can have their direction reversed. If it's a nitro engine drill start then just plug the battery terminal in the other way round ( negative to positive and positive to negative), and the motor will spin the other way

This drill start broke on me after a few uses, is this a product defect? Or all the drill starts a lot Finicky
It's because this engine has a COPS system which isn't really suitable for drill starter

So I have added a video to my list of To do's on this topic. But for me, depending on how dirty it is ; If it's mud or sand etc, don't wait for it to dry. Use clean water to rinse the car off before the mud dries on there. Just make sure to cover up electrics and the engine. If it's already dry dust etc, then use a small brush. Toothbrush would work, but I use car detailing brushes, to brush off the dirt from the nooks and crannies!
If you're using water, I tend to use a hair dryer to dry bits off and then use a spray of WD40 on metal parts, gears, driveshafts, drivecups and dogbones etc etc to stop rust and remove moisture.

Does this work for the sh18 engines?
Im pretty sad, i managed to get a cordless drill but i didnt get the charger with it. I can easily get the backplate and rod for a few pounds but the electric drill is very expensive. I cant seem to find a charger either. Its an einhell drill.
If you mean a rc drill then you need a 7.2 volt battery. It is the same type of batteries you put in your electric cars (Mostly brushed 1/10 cars that have tamiya connectors) Did this help you??
No, you can use an actual drill, a cordless drill, ill post a link to the one i have, i dont want to have to buy an rc one when i can use the actual drill i have,

Oh then all you need is pieces that will let the rod fit on it and try looking up what battery voltage the drill has. After that you could try buying a charger but tbh i don't think it would be easy to find the right size piece ....
Its an 18v battery on the drill. Ive tried to find a proper charger for it but i cant find one. I suppose i could hook it up to my imax b6 with crocodile clips??? i mean i dont see why i couldnt do that. My imax b6 supports different batteries like lipo nimh nicd and stuff.
Well I am sure the battery for drills are lithium batterys and you could charge it under lipo as long as the volts (18) aren't too big I guess
