- Come learn to roller skate with me! Today I'm learning to roller skate as a beginner :D I’m attempting new roller skating tricks for beginners including backwards roller skating and transitions! It's an outside skating vlog today lads and we’re learning backwards skating, the strut walk and transitions (eagle spread/ heel transition) So you can come with me for another skate with me vlog as a beginner roller skater. I’m back roller skating outside in my fave carpark. When I was struggling to go backwards when I bent my knees it really helped me. And it also helps me when I feel like I’m gonna fall and that’s how I stop myself from falling

Bro iv bin skating for 2-3 years know, and idk how u doing it with no toe stop... but ur doing really good! for a tip with yo skates, I would try to tie them tighter, it will make tricks alot easier. and for ur wheels, try a crab tool, (Its only like 6 bucks) and tighten the bult on the wheel, May also help with any problems ur having! Moxie videos are great for tips for skating to! Love the vid btw
YOOO this is hands down the best advice I have ever heard !! I never even heard of a crab tool but im on it right now :0 Also is there any benefits to having a toe stop?
@@HeglaUA-cam Ya def get a crab tool, ua-cam.com/video/2YVyQux-QyU/v-deo.html there is i great video by Deborah and @indy jamma jones has great tip videos on skating. And for the toe stop, Its just a need in my opinion. For learn to go back wards, like u were doing a bit in this vid. it help when u r moving in the backwards motion, it stops u mostly from falling on ur face. great for well... stopping. its just always helped me out and the long run and I think its a must. if u ever had the time and/ or money, I would def buy a moxi roller skate. there great skates for the price and they have a skate for any price range. but ya I hope I can help and if u ever have trouble with ur skates or need help just Reply to this! @@HeglaUA-cam But for a toe stop if u want one, I would buy a 10-15$ one just cus the skate u have seems to have plastic toe stops, and they just don't work. I would buy a rubber one! www.moxiskates.com/collections/toe-stops/products/powerdyne-adjustable-toe-stops These ones are great, they are the ones I use and iv never had problems and there cheap for sum nice toe stops!
@@HeglaUA-cam thats why you are falling because toe stop is missing. Never ever saw anyone skate with no toe stops because you are so good with none you will do soooooo much better with toe stops

Honestly super proud of you for getting out there! I skipped one day because I was feeling super sick and I'm a brand new skater, haven't gone outside yet cause I'm working on beginner drills on carpet. I'm working on wall squats to build my muscles but I'll get there and great job for sticking to it! Thanks for helping me get on the skates today! I managed to take a couple steps and kind of sort of glide! Huge progress for me!

Hey, a little tip with skating I've learnt is doing the strut walk thingy but forward. Just push off first. It helps with picking up speed around corners and turning plus it looks super cool (my friends taught me today). Also love your vids :)

I’m actually a skater that uses three wheels on each skate, I only very recently got them as a gift as I completely gave up 2 years ago. Your doing really good and improving really well! It’s good that you went back out skating even after you didn’t have the motivation, your doing really good and I hope you have a good week whoever is reading this :D

I love the soundtrack of your videos, I love your skating journey (and I'm also struggling going backwards 😩)
a tip for the strut walk is to move your hips inner towards the leg you're stepping forward with, that gives you more stability:)
i know i'm pretty late commenting this but just wanted to share my knowledge
It’s easier with no rocks or bumps, like a smooth floor. I got rollerskates like 2 years ago and I need need new ones because they’re 3 sizes too small- But I love, ABSOLUTELY LOVE roller skating!! I’m getting really good at it! In my opinion 😆

I have been on a active roller derby team since I was 6. I played for the jr.Gotham team from ages 6-8. Then from the ages of 8-12 I played for ILJR. And once I turned 12 the adult team coach got permission from WFTDA(Women’s flat track association and was the first legal underage player in WFTDA history. I am now looking for a new team in hopes of making it to Champs. For those of you who do not know what that is, it’s essentially the World Cup of derby. My point by saying all this is not to belittle all of your experiences with skating but to encourage you to keep going. Just know it’s hard work and even you may not be playing in a contact sport such as roller derby you will still more than likely get injured but if you love it enough you will continue. Just be careful and take care of yourself.

oh yess she uploaded another video, i think we all know how i’m gonna spend this morning!
For skating backwards I've found lifting my heels and tapping them ones way and then doing them the other way just works. So tap your right heel to the right, then left heel to the right. The tap your left heel to the left then right wheel to the left. You just start rolling backwards and you slip in to the movement you need to go backwards. I've found backwards bubbles don't help me go backwards.

The channel I learnt it from is groovy roller skate. It's amazing, I learnt how to smoothly skate backwards within an hour because of it! I think it's because it helps with balance shifting, it also doesn't look as dumb as bubbles can lmao.
7:23 when i get bored while drawing i'd listen to music or have somethin playin in the background to keep me busy and not just sit there silently and it also helps me with skatin or you could try getting a friend to skate with you

skating backwards is all in the hips!! sit into each side, youll feel dramatic but i swear when you skate forward you go where your shoulders go and when you go backwards you go where your hips go
