It DQ will get over turned
Mutilation to the fish, prior to landing or boating the catch, caused by sharks, other fish, mammals, or
propellers that remove or penetrate the flesh. Injuries caused by leader or line, scratches, old healed scars or
regeneration deformities are not considered to be disqualifying injuries. Any mutilation on the fish must be
shown in a photograph and fully explained in a report accompanying the record application.
The way this stupid rule is written makes it sound as if an injury from a shark bite or propeller ADDS weight to the fish, which is absurd. The DQ will be over turned. The promoters of this tournament need to be DQ’d and put under new sponsorship.
I'm not a tournament fisherman, but I call this rule BS because if you weigh a fish that is full length with a chunk missing that only takes from the weight so why not count it. Isn't there somebody on board that is not part of the crew to make sure everything is done legitimately? That would help prove there was no cheating so therefore they should be given the victory. This rule needs to be adjusted to where if there is a chunk missing that doesn't change the length it should count especially if they went solely off what it weighed on the scale with no adjustments for the lost weight
So they officially weighed it, but the weight is unofficial!? This sounds like some kind of ignorant TikTokery 🙄😬🤣
It's stupid but it's accurate. The fish was Dqd so there is no official stamping.
