Amy was amazing. Her drug & alcohol addiction was sadly her downfall. She was with this fella who they say influenced her a lot in the drugs & drink. Amy went to school with Adele & other singers & actors famous here in the UK. I was lucky to see Amy live in concert it was amazing! Amy was English born in London to a Jewish father & Christian mum. Amy’s dad was seen a lot when she was famous. Plus after she died bless him it was heartbreaking to see him. No parent should bury a child. Its, like the whole album, a Song about blake civil-fielder

    This is all not coincedence.
This man really destroyed her. The whole album is about him and about drugs!
No, amy is not mexican. She was born and died in London!
Her parents are also Londoners! She had a jewish funeral and she was woren "the Star of david" as a necklace pretty often!
Her memorial figure is in London, camden market, with her typical beehive hair and her famous little blue dress and her necklace!❤

Just rehearsing Back to Black for a gig and came across your video. You are such a sweet pie 💗 Yeah Amy's story is so sad. Such a talented singer, beautiful woman, tortured soul. To answer your question of her ethnicity, she was Jewish and based in London. I still can't believe such a talent just went from the world

Just two albums, Frank, and Back To Black. In which she lays her love life out for all to see. Each relationship makes her feel more and more like trash. But all the songs are beautiful. "Take the Box" from the first album is my personal favourite. Then "Love is a losing game" from the second.

She’s one of the greatest vocalist of all time. A true tragedy. Back to black beginning to end is such an incredible album. Frank as well. Her story is tragic, the scrutiny she received in the midst of her struggle was horrendous. Instead of helping society laughed and mocked her pain.

Her father is of Russian Jewish descent and her mother is English. A couple of other singles of hers that I really love are
🔹 Tears Dry on their own (that song is more uplifting)
    🔹You know I'm no good
🔹 love is a losing game
Please checkout Janis Joplin "Summertime" live 1969

[Source: Exhibition on Amy Winehouse] Winehouse’s paternal family-originally spelled Wienhause-immigrated to England from Belarus in the late nineteenth century, and settled in London’s East End. Both her mother’s and father’s side were Jewish, and though they were not particularly religious, they shared a strong Jewish cultural identity and adhered to a number of traditions, such as celebrating Passover and gathering for Shabbat dinners. Many of Winehouse’s family members were involved with music and had an influence on her own artistic development. She especially considered her paternal grandmother Cynthia Winehouse (née Gordon) a great inspiration for her distinctive sense of fashion and her passion for jazz and big band music.

It’s a case study in what “yes men” will do to you. Her father famously allowed the label to convince him to convince her to keep going and not get the help she needed. She was crying for help. Rehab was an ironic song because it was an addict that wrote it and she even spelled it out in the lyrics, “…and my daddy says I’m fine…”. Valerie is my favorite song by her and Mark Ronson did a bangin’ video after she passed with her vocals on the track.

Amy had a brilliant voice. Her background was steeped in Jazz/blues and she was so suited to that style. A tragic story and a very sorry day when we lost her. And yes, she said what you think she said. You should check out You Know That I'm No Good, and Valerie.

Amy Winehouse was an absolute revelation. You'd never get it from the tune, but she was from England (Southgate). Can't sleep on the UK, brother! She was also from a Jewish family if I'm not mistaken. She was brilliant and this tune is absolute fire.
RIP Amy Winehouse... gone too soon.

Hey dude I love that you have Thin Lizzy - “Boys are back in town” as your intro.
If you like raspy, soulful and emotive vocals and meaningful lyrics, this man gets so into the music that he only performs live as each performance is different, his name is PAOLO NUTINI with “Iron Sky - live Abbey Road Studios
This is such an inspirational song sung with so much passion and then the Charlie Chaplin clip in the middle just makes this a song that will DEFINITELY make it into your playlist 💯🔥🔥🔥🇬🇧

Amy was a phenomenal talent. Back to Black is perhaps my favourite song of hers. At the gravesite, burying the box was supposed symbolize her burying her heart.
