We did at my schools in UK in 70s to 80s. I showed my music teacher my beat box and mc skills aged 13 in 1985, and I got detention for Explicit Content, as I was rapping Schooly Ds first album track "I don't like rock n roll". lmao. 😅😅
I did but all I learned was that 90% percent of rap was trash and about doing crime, rock ain't bad if it's old school and County is still the greatest music ever, this was when I was 12 and it holds true today
@CountryBoy1877 I was never a country fan as a Brit. But as I've aged I know all music is story telling. Most true Rap mcs don't glorify the lifestyle, they telling story of how they escaped. It's the music moguls that tell the mcs to Rap about the guns drugs and bling. I know many started out rapping about all that, but that was their life, but my fav mcs rapped about breaking free from the life, and other ways to live. But as a hip hop head since pre 79 rappers delight. I do agree there is way too much violence. Music makes money, and bling drugs violence makes big money for record industry. Disgraceful.
As a black (African) woman who has adult children, I'm so happy and proud of you young men for sharing your video. It shows that you are open minded enough to listen to music others wouldn't have thought you would. I love how you respect it and even bop your heads to the "beat". Music comes from God. No matter your gender or ethnicity, when you hear good music, one will acknowledge it with a sway and bopping of the head. When you share your openness to accept and acknowledge other's culture and traditions, you help pave the way towards mankind's peace and understanding of each other's differences. While some cause divisions in our world, please continue to sow knowledge, peace and love amongst mankind. God bless you and your households. ❤🙏😇🖖❤
_Used to be_ a cappella. These days, probably 20% of their songs are instrumentally accompanied in some way. Most of the time they're up front about it, but sometimes they hide the instrumentation so that you really have to listen for it. For example, pay close attention to the choruses on End of the Road, and you'll hear an organ pad.
And that's not even Tim Foust's lowest note. He has blown speakers at least 23 times. Then he can also go up 5 octaves. All these men are extremely talented.
Most men who can do into 1st, or even 0 register can also get into 3rd, even as a head voice. It just comes with the territory. Not taking away from Tim by any means, he is WILDDDD
Saw them in Massachusetts this year. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. Adam Rupp, their BeatBoxer is so good you forget there are NO instruments and Tim Foust their Bass is insane. Truly a special group with a catalog of incredible covers as well as original music. Dive down the rabbit hole. You won't be sorry you did Krystal
Folks been making this music five-ever! Cannot believe you have never listened to it until now. Acapella.. the most beautiful God created sounds you will ever experience! 💔
Guys, this was filmed in south Alabama near the Florida panhandle. The song was made famous in the movie O Brother Where Art Though in 2000 starring George Clooney, although the song is from 1913. This is all A cappella. We call it a nomonica guys. The beat boxer is the founder and the guy with the beard and glasses are from Minnesota. The others are from the south, Texas, Georgia, and Alabama. They do a mean cover of Boys To Men End of the Road. They are the best of the best A Cappella on the planet. Great reaction guys.
I used tovplay this on the organ and sing it at functions church and restaurants as a pre teen in the sixties along with other songs like For the good times
From the Uk and the first time I heard this song was when watching ''Brother where Art Thou'' staring George Clooney. It's one of my all time favourite movies. This rendition of the song is superb. Loved watching this. love to all 💗💗

I agree it's the best rendition of that song I've ever heard but I dont think anything can top the live 1965 version of Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers.

The 5 of you would LOVE "The Butts Remix" by Home Free. It is funny as hell but also shows off their skill. And I heard you mention "Ring of Fire", it is a classic Johnny Cash song of which HF does a great cover (along with Avi from Pentatonix, another good group). You can not go wrong with Home Free.

You all are so adorable. It’s so fresh and sweet to see your reactions to the music. I’ve watched several videos of yours. I was an 80’s kid and 90’s teen. I’m grateful for all of the fabulous music I grew up with. I’m so happy you seek to experience it. Thank you! I have heard this song but never this version. It’s amazing.
This song was in a movie OH Brother Where Art Thou. George Clooney was in it it was so funny. These guys have a lot of accapella music. You raise me up,etc.
I love your reaction -- this was great!! The song "Man of Constant Sorrow" is in the movie "O' Brother, Where art Thou?" It's set in the 1930s, has George Clooney in it, and is absolutely hilarious, while being filled with THIS music. I believe you guys would love it!! Great job today..... as usual!!!🤗🥰💕
The movie, "O' Brother, Where are Thou?" is based off of the Odyssey and is a modern rendition of it. I actually wrote my final paper in one of my film classes about this song when I was in college and how it tells the story of Odysseus. Not only was the song a banger, but so was my paper... got an A on it.
This group of singing guys are so cool, so still, so deep, just singin', no fancy stuff - no instruments except themselves and sorrow. Great suff. Love that you other cool guys are having fun watching many videos over the years. Thanks for this one.
Wait until you hear them sing "When A Man Loves A Woman". It will blow your mind. And "Ring Of Fire" which is a Johnny Cash cover. And "End Of The Road" is another cover that is beyond outstanding. The truth is, you can't go wrong with these guys. They are unreal.
Highly recommend that you all watch the Home Free's "End of The Road" cover of the Boys 2 Men song. This version will blow your mind. Also, you need to react to Adam Rupp's drum solo video.
Guys. Every sound was their voices. The beatboxer's name is Adam Rupp. There are vids on YT where during a live concert the rest of the guys take a break and Adam does an 8 or 9 minute drum and beat solo. Their bass singer has actually blown out speakers when he goes really low in live shows.
The song is over 110 years old. It is about a guy who has had more than a few run-ins with the law and now has to leave his native state of Kentucky to get away. He does not think he will be able to return. He does not really say what he did but, it was huge. He says goodbye to his woman and says he will meet again on God's Golden Shore.
Agreed! Normally, Rob is my least favorite vocally, but he literally blew me away on this one! My jaw is still on the floor, and I support them on Patreon so I saw it a week before it was released - that was awhile ago now! :P
I enjoyed watching your reaction as much as I enjoy listening to the music. Home Free is loaded with amazing talent. Welcome to the Home Fry group boys.
I love Pentatonix too, but my heart belongs to Adam Rupp. His talent is- well, there aren't words. What I love most about these guys is their ability to laugh and make fun of themselves. They are the guys you want to go hang out with, grill some burgers, have a few beers, and just chill
I can attest and give truth to the fact that they do all the sounds vocally. I was lucky enough to see them live a few months ago and they are for real!!
Thank you Boys for showing us this Band for anything that has Gods Name in it means a lot! Yes please show more of this group of young men. Would love to see it. All you young men are showing so many younger people that this world can be a better place if we all just get along. Well done boys, Well done!👏👏👏👏
You should see them live! It's mind blowing. ADAM RUPP (beatboxer) does a solo showing off his amazing amount of talent! I've seen them 5 times and will go again every chance I get!
OH YES! They do all those sounds live. You can see them do it in concert. The dude that does the harmonica sound is amazing. No instruments! They layer them for the recordings, but it's all voice. Go see them if you can!!!
React to their version of Boyz II Men - End of the Road, I am sure your parents might have played that back in the day. Older tunes, The O'Jays - Love Train. Their version has their fans (called Home Fries) in the video. Adam Rupp (beatboxer) has a video from 2015 (red shirt) that shows his skills. You cannot go wrong checking them out.
Home Free does everything from Rock to R&B to country to 50s classics. Sacred to profane, somber to hilarious. Romantic, patriotic, you name it, HF has probably done at least one song in that genre. They have over 160 official videos.
You guys have no idea how much it lifted me watching you be exposed for the first time to a song like this performed like this. Watching the discovery and appreciation on your faces is everything. Much love to all of you and I envy your coming dive down the rabbit hole of mountain music. It’s the rich culmination of a deep, historical sharing and mixture of musical heritages.
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Home Free! If you dare, to take the plunge, I promise you WILL NOT be sorry!😉 They are 🔥🔥, you will need that extinguisher, lol!🤣 They can make you laugh, cry or any other emotions, so amazing, and so down to earth if yo watch some of their funny concert clips or making of videos…Glad you enjoyed it, great reaction guys!👏👏👏
That was some great reactions guys! Home Free is such an amazing group of true artists. Stunning voices and beautiful harmonies that leave you in awe of their talents. Please, do more reactions to Home Free, I'll be right there with a thumbs up, every time!
This song was originally published by Dick Burnett-a partially blind fiddler from Kentucky- It was originally titled Farewell Song.n It was first recorded in 1928 by Emry Arthur. It is considered American folk music (bluegrass). Most people who listen to Bluegrass know it when it was recorded by the Stanley Brothers (one of the best bluegrass bands with Ralph Stanley-also one of the most notable bluegrass singers) in the 50's. It became well known when it was featured in the film "Oh brother, Where art thou" as sung by the Soggy Bottm Boys.
I think you need to listen to these groups with headphones to get the full subwoofer mode from Tim Foust (the long haired bass). Adam Rupp (the beatboxer) is a freak of nature. Welcome to the Home Fries.
I have the soundtrack to O Brother Where Art Thou. Love bluegrass and blues so the track is awesome. I had Angel's Wings played at my dad's funeral. He used 2 sing it beautifully when he was alive. We were country folk and we are proud of it
One of my favorite groups, they are amazing! You can't deny the talent. Love your content, and enjoy watching you all watching comedians and musicians for the first time.
I did not believe this was acappella! Totally agree it sounded just like a harmonica! UNTIL I went to there concert. They are AMAZING. Thanks for playing this guys!👍🏻❤️
Straight a cappella for sure! The harmonica supplied by their beat boxer extraordinaire Adam Rupp. In concert he even has a 5-10 min segment doing a solo.
Every single sound you heard was from their voices. They are 100% acapella. The very few times they have an instrument in a song, they will show it so we all know they are using it. That hardly ever happens though. I went to see them live last October... Yes, they are THAT good! Us Home Free fans call ourselves "Home Fries" I subbed to see you guys react to more Home Free songs 🙂
Yes ! We need more Homefree. Love their version of Boyz to men’s “End of the Road “ and Justin Timberlake “ Can’t Stop the Feeling “. Their version of “When a man loves a woman “ is fire. You guys will love their “ Butts remix “. Note their fans are called Home fries and they are very loyal. If they see you watching your subs will double. Welcome to the rabbit hole. They cover every genre and they even have their originals
This song was in the movie “O Brother Where Art Thou”…good movie! Love your reactions, guys, thanks! To see more of Adam’s beatboxing check out “Butts Medley” a mash up from songs about…butts. Also, “Guilty Pleasures” a part of a tour that shows their talent and sense of humor and excellent. If you keep doing Home Free reactions you’ll gain a ton of subs because Home Fries (What Home Free fans call themselves) follow them passionately.
I am from the hills of Tennessee and we grew up with this music. But, we didn't have folks that could imitate the sounds of a jaw harp or harmonica. These gentlemen have several music videos all are amazing.
Damn straight we want more home free!! If you like the harmonica in this one, check out Ain't Going Down til the Sun Comes Up. His harmonica playing in that is unearthly. Maybe he's a cyborg or something, lol. Check them out, please
I appreciate how you guys appreciate things outside of the box! ❤ You are a blessing and your parents and grandparents did a wonderful job raising you!! Make sure you tell them thank you for who you are!! Blessings to your families! 🥰🥰
I watched them win the sing-off and have been loving them ever since. It’s so cool to see other people discover this incredibly talented group and enjoy it as well. This song is a masterpiece.
Yeah. . Finally watching this insanely talented acapella group. They are the best, I've seen them live, it's definitely all acapella. They are also pretty funny guys, check out their Butts Remix.
If you heard this through even earbuds, you would really be blown away. These guys are next level good. Adam Rupp is a world-class beatboxer. Their bass Tim Foust has a range from sub-woofer bass to a very respectable tenor. This song was originally written in the 1920's and used in the George Clooney movie Oh Brother Where Art Thou with the Soggy Bottom Boys singing. Recommend next their cover of R&B End of the Road by Boyz ll Men. This'll make you a fan (Home Fry) for sure!
Ever since I heard this song in the George Clooney movie "O brother where art thou", I have always come back to listen to it from time to time. Great song!
We absolutely want more Home Free! Check out "End of the Road" for sure. And "Ring of Fire" and "The Butt's Remix." Whatever you do, save "Mayday" until you have heard at least six of their other songs. Front left (overalls, glasses, and glorious beard): Rob Lundquist, tenor, from Minnesota. Front center (lead on this song): Austin Brown, tenor, from Georgia. Front right (soul-snatching stare): Tm Foust, bass, from Texas. Rear left (vest): Adam Chance - called Chance, baritone, from Alabama. Rear right (suspenders): Adam Rupp, founding member and beatboxer extraordinaire who can also sing, from Minnesota. They are incredibly talented. You really can't go wrong with any song by them.
Thank you SO much fellas for checking out this song from Home Free that I suggested. I knew their uniqueness would blow y'all away! I have not watched any other Home Free videos because I've been waiting for your reactions so I can react with you. I'm a fellow southerner from Louisiana, and you are my favorite UA-cam channel. Also, I made a suggestion for Teddy Swims: I Can't Make You Love Me If You Don't. My final recommendation is: Lane Boy by Twenty One Pilots. I know y'all didn't enjoy Car Radio. It was the wrong song choice as a first time listen. Please check out my recommendations when you can. Thanks!
You guys are heroes. Without you , many in these recent generations would never know another world exists. The 60s and 70s were a renaissance, not only of music, but art, science, philosophy, spirituality. These newer generations, by and large, have no idea what came before, because nobody has ever told them, and i deeply respect you all bringing it to light. Incedentally, if you have not seen the movie, Oh, brother, where art thou, you really owe it to yourselves to check it out. In my opinion it is one of the best movies ever made. Love you guys. You are great, but like all great people, will only be honored in history.
You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney. Some of my favorites are "Take Me Home Country Roads", "In The Blood", "Ring Of Fire", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "How Great Thou Art", "Elvira", "Hillbilly Bone", "American Pie", "Brother In Arms", "One Man Band", "Listen To The Music", "Sea Shanty Medley" etc.
This entire group is amazing!! I saw them in person last summer and they put on an awesome concert! Every member brings something very special!!! So good!!
Home Free version of end of the Road by Boyz II Men is incredible. That song is such a classic it’s suicide for anyone to try to cover it. And Home Free does it so well it takes you back to the first time you heard the song. Mayday is also a great one that they do. But my favorite of all is Helplessly, Hoping.

Guys. Every sound was their voices. The beatboxer's name is Adam Rupp. There are vids on YT where during a live concert the rest of the guys take a break and Adam does an 8 or 9 minute drum and beat solo. Their bass singer has actually blown out speakers when he goes really low in live shows.
So has avi. Both Pentatonix and home free carry extra bass speakers for a reason.
They covered End of the Road and killed it. Thats how i found this group and they became a favorite of mine.
Agreed! Normally, Rob is my least favorite vocally, but he literally blew me away on this one! My jaw is still on the floor, and I support them on Patreon so I saw it a week before it was released - that was awhile ago now! :P
What humans can do with their voices is amazing. Y’all keep up the good work at Ooh-La-La!
Damn, that is the reaction they deserve! Much ❤️
I enjoyed watching your reaction as much as I enjoy listening to the music. Home Free is loaded with amazing talent. Welcome to the Home Fry group boys.
This song is featured heavily in the movie 'Oh Brother Where Art Thou". It's a great film and definitely worth a watch!
Ring of Fire was a Johnny Cash hit years ago. Home Free Does it beautifully. Also they are fantastic with When A Man Love A Woman
The pentatonix are a a-cappella group that is also crazy talented . They do a rendition of Hallelujah that’s really good.
I was about to comment the same thing 👍🏻👍🏻
I love Pentatonix too, but my heart belongs to Adam Rupp. His talent is- well, there aren't words. What I love most about these guys is their ability to laugh and make fun of themselves. They are the guys you want to go hang out with, grill some burgers, have a few beers, and just chill
Home Free, Pentatonix, and Voice Play are the holy trinity of a capella.
Voiceplay is a good acapella group. I really like them and Pentatonix but I love Home Free
For me, Voiceplay is at the top. Their productions are always top-notch. In comparison, PTX is plainly boring.
I can attest and give truth to the fact that they do all the sounds vocally. I was lucky enough to see them live a few months ago and they are for real!!
This is my first time hearing this song sung by these people... awesome job
Love that song!! It’s a very old song covered by many artists.
And Austin does the "no-monica" too and they have two part harmonicas in this song in concert now.
Welcome to the rabbit hole. These guys are amazing and just as good live. Pick anything they do and it's fire 🔥
Adam is amazing and all real. I've seen them live a couple of times and they're amazing!
This is but a drop in the Homefree bucket. They have so many great songs
Their version of O Holy Night is stunningly beautiful! Gives me chills every Christmas.
These guys are one of my new favorite groups, love this stuff.
Oh I just can’t wait till the butt remix that is going to be epic. Tim is a basstard he gonna drop it low on them.
Nothing wrong with a good rabbit hole!
Blessed with talent right there. Love listening to them.
That was some great reactions guys! Home Free is such an amazing group of true artists. Stunning voices and beautiful harmonies that leave you in awe of their talents. Please, do more reactions to Home Free, I'll be right there with a thumbs up, every time!
OMG!!!!! THANK YOU for hopping down the acapella rabbit hole. Prepare to be blown away by the absolute talent of these groups.
This was the first Home Free song I heard, and I was hooked. They've got so many great, incredible songs!
No instruments. Just very talented men with great voices and beat box talents.
Thank you!
Accapella means music and singing without instruments
It may not be traditional accapella which is mostly harmonies.
But it 100% fits the definition
A must is Home Free When a man loves a Woman. And for the most incredible audition, please check out Susan Boyle 😊
I personally love that song ❤
Got to see Home Free live in 2019. Every sound you hear is coming straight from their voices. These guys are Amazing. Thank you for the great reaction
Straight a cappella for sure! The harmonica supplied by their beat boxer extraordinaire Adam Rupp. In concert he even has a 5-10 min segment doing a solo.
You need another homefree reaction video... your pick, these guys really are amazing
Man i ain't heard this song in years man thanks for reminding me of it boys, God bless yall
You guys need to hear their cover of Percy Sledge's 'When a Man Loves a Woman'. So, so good!
OMgosh! This song by them is phenomenal!
Love seeing yall enjoying GREAT MUSIC!!
I am from the hills of Tennessee and we grew up with this music.
But, we didn't have folks that could imitate the sounds of a jaw harp or harmonica.
These gentlemen have several music videos all are amazing.
Me too 😊
MOUNTAINS! SHINE RUNNERS.
@TeresaGrimes-qp9ic Yep, and as far as I know they still manufacture it to this day.
Damn straight we want more home free!! If you like the harmonica in this one, check out Ain't Going Down til the Sun Comes Up. His harmonica playing in that is unearthly. Maybe he's a cyborg or something, lol. Check them out, please
He has a video about it, ook for "Adam Rupp explains the harmonica sound." on UA-cam.
Imagine driving to Huston Texas and paying this song on your radio 📻 it’ll sound so nice 🎉❤
I used to drive from Atlanta to Houston years ago. Long drive.
Absolutely my fav song by Home Free!FREE!! Great reaction guys!! Thank yall!!
Seen them in concert 4 times now. Absolutely 100% real deal.
This is an awesome rendition of this song!
Welcome to Home Free gentlemen. These dudes blew me away and I'm still amazed at some of their renditions of past songs. Loved the reaction.
It’s a featured song in the movie “O Brother Where Art Tho?” starring George Clooney…
But this version is the BEST‼️🙌🏼🐗‼️
Home Free is the best Acapella group. They can sing any genre. They are so talented. CK out Ring of Fire featuring Avi Kaplan from PTX❤️❤️.❤️❤️❤️
Thanks!
OMG....
Teddy Swims is PHENOMENAL! I absolutely love that song
These guys are hysterical!! I watch this every now and then just for the comic relief!!
WOW! Just WOW! These guys are amazing. I'm feeling your vibe, foot tapping along with y'alll 🇬🇧
This song absolutely slaps! What a great reaction from you guys. I felt the same way
I had so much fun watching your reactions to this fantastic song. Home free is pretty awesome
What do you get when you play country music backwards? 😂 You get your house back, your job back, your truck back, your wife back and your dog back 😂😂
What do you get when you listen to hip hop? Nothing.
@@scottdarden3091 Education?
@@alanfoster6589 really, from a rapper?
@@scottdarden3091 Depends on what you wish to be educated about.
One of my favorite jokes. 😂😂
When a Man Loves a Woman ❤
you have to hear them sing "When A Man Loves A Woman." So powerful!
They have a lot of great songs.
This entire group is amazing!! I saw them in person last summer and they put on an awesome concert! Every member brings something very special!!! So good!!
You guys are fun to watch! Glad you entertain pure music and enjoy it.
