The drumbeat is a heart beat and she sings from heart about her relationships she write her own songs and refuses to use auto tune The numbers of all her albums are the age when she started writing them
Nah, the best is Adele rapping Nikki Minaj verse in “Monster” during car karaoke on one of those late night shows. If you haven’t seen it? You’re welcome.
I remember driving my son to college and this came on the radio. I asked who it was and he told me Adele. A little while later, after changing radio stations, another song came on. I again asked who it was. He, again, told me it was Adele. I bought the CD on the way home.
I went to an Adele concert with the wife in Chicago---wasn't my idea, but I figured I would go to make sure she was safe. Of all the concerts I've been to, she is easily Top 2 or 3. Fantastic voice and by the end of the concert you wanted to go out and have a beer with her.
She wrote and released this by the time she was 21! An amazing talent, she sings, writes, and plays several instruments. No need for a big production, sexy costumes, or hordes of dancers, she commands an audience by just standing there and singing. Signed to a recording contract at 18 after graduating from a London school for the performing arts. To appreciate her growth and evolution as an artist, listen to her albums in order, they're named by her age at release, a snapshot of that time in her life. This is from her 2nd, 21. The others are 19, 25, and 30. Her live videos are more than worth a look, too. She's very chatty, and funny.
And what's amazing is she sounds just as good live! And writes or co writes her own stuff...Love Adele, she's real..sings like an angel, speaks and laughs like a navvy..lol😁✌🇬🇧
Adele has such an amazing voice. She rather reminds me of Dusty Springfield and Amy Winehouse. I love Adele's music - thanks for playing this & your comments. Insofar as heartbreak songs, Austin Brown wrote a few after a hard breakup some years ago - the live rendition of "Love Me Like That" is heart-breaking.
Every Adele song is pure magic. I don’t think she’s written or sung a mediocre one. Her songs come from hurt. “I’ll Be Waiting” from Adele 21 and “Sweetest Devotion” from Adele 25 are favorites of mine.
To watch her singing To be loved is a complete masterclass ,she said she will never sing it again ,but I have watched it over and over and gets me every time
Adele's song "When We Were Young" has to be one of my favorites of hers. This one is my second favorite. I love the drums is this song. They are thumpin'.
This song is not about her ex husband it was released in 2011 when she was only 21 and before she got married . She does write from experience and is therefore very authentic . The video is pure expressions of rage . Anger is what we use to recover from pain but we only get over it when we let go of the anger as well. Nearly everyone experiences all these emotions which is why it has such appeal. She is funny intelligent down to earth and articulate. She writes like a poet and sings like an avenging angel . Definitley checkout more music she is not a one hit wonder . For originality and wit try Rumour has it . Also you should see what she can do with a large crowd try reacting to her performance at the Glastonbury festival - iconic You won't be disaapointed by anything you hear from her.
Yes Brits have soul. People have misconceptions especially toward English people who are assumed to be to the manor born. Up until my Grandad, my family were sent to work down mines, mills and on fishing boats aged 11 and even younger generations before. There are folk songs packed with soul which are overlooked.
If there is ONE thing us Brits 🇬🇧 are good at , it’s Music . We gave the world everything from the Beatles to Ren .Adele is something pretty bloody special tho .
I’m certainly not the biggest Adele fan but her talent is undeniable. An absolute powerhouse vocalist and pretty good writer. Perhaps my favourite YT clip is the night she was ‘discovered’ and was invited at the last minute onto Jools Holland’s ‘Later’ as a young 17 year old who nobody had ever heard of because it’s such a raw and authentic performance. If I can find it, I might post a link to follow this.
Angelic voice. Power voice. Beautiful Human being. Sweetheart of a person. No bad songs. Writes her own stuff ... has an Oscar for writing one of the BEST Bond themes. Interesting how you mention Amy WInehouse; Her and Adele were friends and schoolmates
Adel is just an icon already. She is just astounding, even if not one’s particular style of music, you cannot deny the talent. If you want to watch another brilliant singer, from the other end of the spectrum, but still very talented, opposite style of musically, listen to Billie Eilish, Bellyache. Total different, love them both, but very different. Bille is so young when she did this song, it will boggle your mind. She’s all of 21/22 now, and I remember watching her video 5 years ago. She Adel share the ability of grabbing & holding your attention, then being really good with their craft.
Adele!! Her voice and writing abilities are so superb!!! Please check out her songs, "Somebody Like You", and "When We Were Young"!!! These are 2 of my favourites for sure!!!! Love yah BP!! Love yah Don!!
'Rumour Has It' and 'When We Were Young' are a couple of my favorites. Also would suggest 'I Drink Wine', 'Send My Love (To Your New Lover)', 'One and Only', and her cover of Bob Dylan's 'Make You Feel My Love'
Please give Someone like you by Adele a listen. I bawled like a baby the first time I heard it. It’s such a relatable song and her vocals are just insane. Loved this vid by the way.😊
This song is how I found Adele back when it came out. She is amazing and she has gotten even better as she has gone through all trials and come out the other side. The whole album 21 is fantastic. Watch some of her live videos. I just love to watch her sing!
Not only is Adele one of the greatest artists today she has a great personality! She is funny and so easy going in interviews. She is a beautiful woman inside and out! Love me some Adele!
For most of us we listen to music when we are young but as we get older, life takes time and priority and the search for music is mostly for the familiar. I have 7000 numbers in my library; I don't look for new artists or new music I can't even remember all the music I've forgotten. Adele is one of the few exceptions.
She’s got better throughout her years off singing this video was when she was in her 20s she’s got better and better she’s just something special from day 1 definitely would recommend reacting to more of her music 🔥🔥
Omgosh bf the newest influx with renagades - Adele is my fave female pop artist - i was supposed to go see her in Vegas in August 2023 - hard to get a ticket - had to be invited just to get a ticket but was too sick to travel so gave my ticket to a friend of mine from California who has been so nice to me and supportive. Tickets were not cheap but it’s ok, life happens. Adele is fr awesome. I know all words to every song. She’s still my bucket list / maybe someday before I die - my dream 💭 Ty for doing this 💚💚💚💚 Her music got me thru some stuff as a woman 👩 She is a queen 👸 Love from Lisa The lyme and autoimmune warrior 💚💚💚💚💚💚🦠🦠🦠🦠 Yes I will show up over and over and over for Adele
If you haven’t seen Yebba -“My Mind” her voice will shock you. Another one of my favorites is the cover of Gravity that she sings with Clark Beckham. It’s amazing how it touches your soul.
I'm the person with the playlist with Adele on it, and then after this Adele song comes on, then comes Jessye Norman's performance of Purcell's "When I Am Laid in Earth", because why not? If you're interested in listening, it's on UA-cam.
Commenting on stuff in the video is great, but you know, it's so good to hear you comment about the singing and herself, because Adele as a person and her voice are just so intense. She sings from direct experience, and the relationship she's singing about is not the most recent one (the marriage). It's the one she had in her youth, the one she still bears the scars for - and like many people who had that heartbreak very young it takes a lot of work to remove that emotional baggage. You are sad and hurt but you are also angry. She uses her incredible personal strength and amazing songwriting abilities to exorcise her demons over and over again, and we get to hear her journey start to finish. She is a beautiful, gutsy person and has been through a lot, but she's just a normal person like all the rest of us, she has no airs or graces. 'Common as muck' she says laughingly. But boy, does she have a voice and a soul. The first time she ever played 'Someone Like You' on the piano to her mum at home, her mum started crying. She gets you in the feels. And she does it every single time.
Adele is thee best voice of that last decade or so, she has a lot of fantastic sings, you should do a deep dive on her! Like, Hello, Set Fire To The Rain, When We Were Young, Skyfall (Bond movie song), Someone Like You, Easy On Me, Rumor Has It and more. Her voice was fire then and it is even more fire now that her voice has matured, she was very young when she did this song.
Adele is a beast! I want a new album from her already. Her album "30" came out in 2021. THAT album is spectacular! I mean all of her albums are crazy great! I'm a huge fan of hers. Everything that Adele writes about is from her life. All of her albums are named after her age at the time that she wrote them and what she was going through at that time . Her albums are "1988" "19", "21", "25", & "30". As Don pointed out about the beat of the instrumentation, that is great due to her being a drummer. Her writing has a certain syncopation to it like a drummer does. #Adele
Adele's songs are all about her life . Tgis song was written when she was 21 yrs old, way before her marriage and divorce. Each of her albums are about different times in her life.
Now react to Frog Leap's cover of it. His cover of Hello has cast a shadow over his other Adele covers. Easy On Me is awesome, but RITD was one of his earliest covers and still holds up to his newer more refined covers.
Glad to see Don has decided to get a channel going. Headed over there now. I enjoy both your reactions. Adele has a great voice though tbh I haven't heard much that wasn't on the radio. So, I will let some other proper fans toss out suggestions. Update: I am Don's 14th subscriber. Get on it people!
You've opened your ways into the Adele world, and it's just stratospheric in here! Checkout One and Only, Set Fire To The Rain, Hold On, Skyfall, When We Were Young, Oh My God and Someone Like You!

Agree Adele's voice is stunning. You should check out Someone Like You, live at the Brit Awards and Set Fire to the Rain, live at Royal Albert Hall is epic. I also love her cover of Bob Dylan's Make You Feel My Love. If you want to check out some more British "blue-eyed soul" you try the band Simply Red. Singer/songwriter Mick Hucknall has one of the most soul drenched voices I've ever heard. Try and find live version where possible, it's better than the recordings. Start with Holding Back the Years, which he wrote about his mother leaving him and his dad when he was a child. Also check out If You Don't Know Me By Now, For Your Babies, Stars, Something Got Me Started and Money's Too Tight To Mention. They're all bangers.
”Hello”, ”set fire to the rain”, ”somebody like you” and ”easy on me” (Adele) ❤
Set fire to the rain... set fire to them speakers!
“Chasing Pavements” is still my favorite Adele joint
Rumor has it is great as well.
Chasing pavements too
My favorite song it felt she was sing about and my ex 😊
The drumbeat is a heart beat and she sings from heart about her relationships she write her own songs and refuses to use auto tune The numbers of all her albums are the age when she started writing them
one song she's famous for is a cover tho
You have to react to "Adele - When We Were Young (Live at The Church Studios)" and "Adele - Set Fire To The Rain (Live at The Royal Albert Hall)"
There are 200'000 unknown bands to discover - why react twice to the same band?
Adele is one of those artists whose live performances are just as amazing or even better than the official release 🫶🏾🫶🏾. Love her
Nah, the best is Adele rapping Nikki Minaj verse in “Monster” during car karaoke on one of those late night shows.
If you haven’t seen it? You’re welcome.
Set fire to the rain. Someone like you.
A must !!
A MUST
YOU are the problem.
I remember driving my son to college and this came on the radio. I asked who it was and he told me Adele. A little while later, after changing radio stations, another song came on. I again asked who it was. He, again, told me it was Adele. I bought the CD on the way home.
Yes. Go down that rabbit hole. The girl has soul! Great reaction🤓🤠👊🏼
"Someone like you" is a must. Give me chills every time I hear it.
Especially that brits performance 🥲
Adele is insane and even better live !!!!! No auto tune just raw talent.
Live Royal Albert Hall shows her talent and her fans make for a great video.
The very very very best female pop artist
One of the few that can just stand in one spot and sing and captivate the entire room.
@@cubbyboy8raw talent / honed by years of practice. 👍

You can tell someone got talent when they perform live as good as in the studio. She is one of those rare voices.
Adele is always beautiful, no matter how much she weighs.
Exactly!! I hate how he assumes she was unhealthy at her previous weight. Skinny doesn't mean healthy. Ugh. SMH
@@hibhibb5429 I agree.
Roll in the deep is british slang. It means having someone's back, lover or friend.
Adele has a gorgeous voice and she is still down to earth.

She has the most beautiful voice ❤️🔥.
And what's amazing is she sounds just as good live! And writes or co writes her own stuff...Love Adele, she's real..sings like an angel, speaks and laughs like a navvy..lol😁✌🇬🇧
She’s one of those talents that can just step up to the mic and belt one out. She puts her pain into the music and it shows.
Dont forget Adele and Amy both went to the same school for performing artists

Chasing Pavements is one of my favorite Adele songs
That beat is simply primal
Both Adele and Any Weinhouse have that soul and grit in their voices.

Chasing pavements will always be my favorite Adele song. So beautiful
She’s amazing and sounds exactly the same love. One of the best concerts I’ve been to hands down.
Adele sang "Someone Like you", It is one to be check out for sure.
"Make You Feel My Love" (BBC, 2015) - you’ll laugh and appreciate how cool a person she is

Now you got to the the ROLLING IN THE DEEP cover by LINKIN PARK from itunes music festival 2011
I loved the respect they gave Adele when they performed it.
I love both versions
This is THAT joint. Love this song. I was actually bugging out the first time I heard it. It was so dope.
Glad to hear someone reacting to what is being played instead of jumping on to other songs
