It’s worth noting that Striker style not only speeds up the arte gauge but also fills the gauge when taking damage. A lot of striker move-sets are also similar to MH3 and older games. Good video, dude!
Adept style is insanely fun with hammer. You get a new charge and you dont have to cast special straight away. You can walk round and unleash it anywhere. At least until your stamina runs out exactly the same as the normal hammer charge.
Quick tip, some monsters will be harder with specific styles, and easier with other styles. For example, Glavenus becomes a complete pushover if you use Adept style.

For those who see this: You take 70% reduced damage with blademaster weapons (you take 30% of what you would have if you had gotten hit by the attack) And 85% reduced damage with gunner weapons (you take 15% of the damage you would have.)

concerning the arial style, you definitely should consider the impact it hast on the already very versatile and acrobatic insect glaive, because the normal "jump" you would perform while holding "R" and pressing "B" with your weapon unsheathed now not only bosts you into the air but also enables you to jump huge distances into the direction your Stick is pointet at, therefore enaling you to expand your playstyle into a threedimensional one more than any other weapon. It really needs a lot of training to master this, though

I currently play the 3DS version but I am only on Rank 3 quests so far since I find the Control scheme kind of challenging. Also I play Monster Hunter Stories from time to time. I really hope the controls will be better on the new Nintendo Switch I just (finally) got !
The controls are, for the most part, indeed better (right analog stick for camera movement yay!). But depending on whether you're playing with Joy-Cons or a Pro controller, you might want to swap the L/R buttons with ZL/ZR (in the options menu).

Since one of the largest disadvantages of Valor Style is the slower putting away of your weapons to use items or heal, the sword and shield however is the only weapon in the game that can use items without putting away your weapon, countering this negative. That is my vote but to be honest they are all pretty viable except for maybe alchemy style which I find the least useful. (I'm not big into into using "stuff" in action games however, I like to stay up in the fighting)
I'd say striker and valor look to be the best of the bunch. Striker doesn't lose very much compared to guild, just the backwards hop. The other styles all lose more important combos. Striker also gives quicker access to the Sns hunter arts, which are all insanely versatile, especially the new "chaos oil". Valor on the other hand is a much more offensive style on sns. It has a longer charge up compared to most weapons, but once in valor mode things can get hectic. A new attack from pressing X+A allows the player to dodge in any direction and dash once again in any direction. This can be followed up by a combo, or cancelled with an actual dodge roll. If the player dodges a monster attack in the middle of the dodge during the new X+A move, a counterattack will be initiated. This style is good for players who are willing to give up hunter arts and quick sheaths for more maneuverability.
Using sword and shield in general is bad damage wise....but it's a great weapon to use if you wanna add paralysis or sleep or even lots of blast too.....I would recommend adept sword and shield for that definitely....plus you can mount more easily out of adept sns(sword n' shield) attacks

Styles and arts should never come back. They greatly disrupted the balance of the game to the point that the difficulty in generations is laughable at best.

Also, one critic I have for your videos is that your mic makes are really harsh and sharp "Ssss" ssssound whenever you ssssay ssssomething. The issue is called sibilance, which can be reduced if you have Adobe Audition or Audacity. :)
I don't do any streams and I am in mid process of messing with audacity settings to find what sounds the best (my last video had too much bass and this too much treble), so I think in my next video or 2, I should have my voice settings nailed down to right where I like it.
Might want to try valor form with bow and arrow although from playing world for a while on and off.... think it's gonna be hard to get used to the aiming system
The 3d graphics actually on the screen in real life are pretty good but the HUD is absolutely hideous and they should of remade it entirely. It makes the game look older than it is with that crunchy HUD on.
I try to ease people into things like this and better prepare new players with that sweet spot of knowledge, not too much to overwhelm, enough to understand. Gaijin is a example of a great "step #2" that I reference towards the end of the video.
Bows, Light and Heavy Bowguns are in the game and they all have access to all 6 styles as well. Valor Style is especially great for both of them and Valor HBG is considered to be one of the best Style/Weapon combinations in the game.
It's a pretty beefy expansion to a game we have never gotten in the west and on a machine that you can actually play on a tv with a proper controller. Even if you played a ton of the 3ds version of Generations, there is plenty reason to get Generations Ultimate because of the large amount of added monsters and the addition of valor style really changes how you play the game.

It's hit or miss with MonHun in the west. We only got Freedom G, we didn't get Freedom, we got both Tri and Tri G, but only got MH4G, not MH4, and we got both Cross and Double Cross. We also didn't get Portable Third at all. It's all kinds of weird.
In case you hesitate whether buying MHGU or MHW, just go for this game 10000000 % Then buy MHW 2 years from now, It will be cheaper and will have enough content (hopefully) to invest time in. This game covers new players & veteran players.
If MHW continues at a rate of one new monster per month, it would take another two years just to reach the number of monsters in MH4 original (not even MH4U) and _five_ years to reach the number of monsters in MHGU.

Even I don't think 1 monster per month is bad, what actually stinks is that they're just doing stupidness, Arch tempered ultra hard beast Kirin... 8 months of the release and they're already recycling, careless events, and the only new monster Lunastra... Behemot I don't even bother fighting that over powered HP shit, is just really stupid 30 mins to solo and at min 29 you just die off a meteorite that you can't even run to evade because the stupid rock is 100km away from you. I think Behemot was the dev's answer on us that the game was really easy, but they have not clear the concept of difficulty and stupidity. And that's really alarming.

It really depends on the weapon. Gunner weapons especially are smoother and less clunky in World than older games (including MHGU).
Tbh mhw have smoother movesets, trust me i played XX, and cb is more mmmmhm in world
