As someone who has worn this fashion in public, Americans really don’t either! xD A few little kids stared, but other than that everyone seemed to mind their own business.
I think in America it depends on where you live. If you live in most big cities, people don't tend to care much because there's just SO MANY different kinds of people that there are tons of other weirdos. X3 But where I live, in a small town in the country.... You get pretty weird looks even if you don't go ALL out with your kawaii shit. o.o
+molly Craig its not expensive if you just DIY a lot of things. i did it and it cost me literally nothing i just took cute stuff around my room and put them together XD and yeah it would be so cool if it was the norm but then it wouldnt be as unique i wish stuff like this wasn't weird to people and accepted
+molly Craig I agree with Selena and also you can get all kinds of cute accessories from dollar store and thrift shopping. Just gotta know what to look for ;)
***** yup exactly, just always bring a little money when you go out, you never know what youll find. even 10 bucks can get you tons of hairclips if you find cheap ones that are still cute
I'm just now building my decora stash... got a pack of cute bow clips for 1$ to get it started hehe a lot of my clothes I have already can be combined to make these get-ups, just gotta experiment and see what I can come up with. :3
I know I'm late but Decora was the reason why I got into Japanese fashion. Although Gyaru was my first J-fashion I was introduced to in 2008, Decora attracted me more. Today I dress in Fairy Kei and Sweet Lolita but the hair clip collection I have I still use for both! I hope Decora comes back since the decora I've seen in this video makes me want to relive it again.
This is just a question, but do you ever have problems when you have normal friends who come over and stay the night, and you just want to wear comfy pyjamas and they expect you to be all decora or fairy kei/ Lolita when you go to bed?
Bobbi Polk Mein Gott that's SUPER annoying! I'm all like "Can you not?" and they're all "I'm just trying on your hair clips!" 3 hours, a formerly neat bedroom trashed, and 2 friends later, they're in my underwear drawer. "Can you not?"
RileyGaming Oh God! But my friends haven't went to my undies yet! XD I have to soak my hair clips after they eventaully take them off. I even make sure they don't STEAL them either!
Bobbi Polk I know the feel!!! Someone I can relate to!!! It's even worse when they only take a shower once a week or have dreadlocks... *shudders* The horror...
+Isaki Tahashi i am subbed to you and you have an awesome personality and cute voice and i totally think you should make more fashion vids and if you were decora again that would be so cool to see! but do what you want :)
I love Harajuku so much! they know how to have fun and be so colorful! im not into decora but I think its so cute. I am more into lolita fashion and I love it so much!
Im so obsessed with Decora and been doing some research and getting some inspiration mainly for my ocs but I do want to try this fashion out. Just need the confidince for it XD Anyways they all look amazing and love how it ranges a lot.
People are always so normal people say you are all different you are but you all dress the same so why not have fun with fashion express yourself! I’m decora kei and proud
Hmph trying it and I'm proud! Put on my Dad's red Adidas jacket also a red plain skirt up to my knees and wear different wacky color of leg wammers and put on the Adidas shoes and the clips on and I'm done! FABULOUS!!
Hmm, I love it, but I don't get the bandaid across the nose. Is there like a cute character that does that and they are trying to achieve the same cuteness? Where did that idea come from?
@@jessiemayfield6749 How the fuck do you know? The band-aid on the nose is just a cute trend. Some people wear those mask in Japan without having allergies, illness or a cold and sometimes would wear it for fun but nobody cares. Stop getting offended by everything.
Dude it just looks cute. It's like asking "why are you wearing a necklace? Is it to achieve the same cuteness as a character" no it's just an accessory!
I've been slowly collecting more and more accessories so I can become completely decora!!! I've gotten quite a lot, but it's still not exactly what I'm aiming for. gotta DIY a lot of stuff
I feel you. I live in Sweden and I love Decora so much! I have seen like two other Decoras here...Try going to a convention, or join a Facebook group for Decoras (or at least one for people with different Japanese Street Styles)!
If I was part of their group, I'm afraid I wouldn't able to get myself as colorful as them, not counting the adorable girl in black. Imagine the work it takes to have a Decora style. xD
***** Oh I've known about decora for a long time :D, but the BAND AIDS that they wore on their face is something I've never seen before. I don't know if that is a new trend with the band aids, itself, or maybe I'm just missing something... :>
too much for my taste, if anything Id try a lighter side of it. but I've no problem walking around with a plushie back pack and colorful pinned hair ^^ just...not this much. bet they are tons of fun to hang with! !! :D
is..how do I say this OK for people in America/Canada to wear harajuka style? I don't ask that offensively Im asking because I am from Canada and I really like and would like to experiment with this style but I don't want to be... racially inappropriate if that's the right wording please awnser
when I was over there everybody was actually really excited that I was interested in the clothes and fashion, and I'm a 6 foot tall english guy ;D I think as long as you express yourself how you wanna look that's all that matters
Paige Renaud I'm a girl from England👋, I really love the harajuka style💕, I'd love to try it out but I'm too self conscious to do it. my parents would most Likely accept it but I'm to afraid, so I continue to collect stuff and just wear it when I'm home alone. but if you have the guts for it 100% do it, become it's awesome and it would be great to see more people wearing this style💕👌
Of course you're Canadian. A Canadian would say sorry when someone bumps into them on purpose. It's literally a fashion and a huge defining factor of alt fashion in general is that it accepts everyone
I like how colorful they are! While everyone else is wearing dark clothes, they are having fun with so many bright and crazy colors!
True!
Dark clothes are also fun :^ )
IKR, it's so quirky, I love them, have been trying clothes from here and tbh, its friking adorable kawaiillama.com/
Squad goals
i like how the other japanese people walking by dont give a dam lol
That's Japan

i guess theyre used to seeing harajuku fashion on the streets?
@@glitchtastic8889 LMFAO Americans do stare, that is just false as fuck. They also give dirty looks too.

I wish amazing people like them would be in America an bring this fashion everywhere, it would be super cool to have in america!
They are all so cute, I want to hug them! But then... I'd be afraid to, cos they might lose some of their trinkets and clips.
I am 10 years late But HUG MEEE THEY WON'T COME OFF>-
Ever since I started harajuka fashion everyone in my city kinda obsesses over me.
Maybe they never saw this before? But it's cool that You make it 💕💪🏻

Hmm, I love it, but I don't get the bandaid across the nose. Is there like a cute character that does that and they are trying to achieve the same cuteness? Where did that idea come from?
Where in a kids band-aid is cute but the nose is mocking plastic surgery which is sadly very popular in asia

Sooooo cute and awesome! :D
Those clips are adorable, but I still couldn't figure out how to clip all of them on their hair and keep the hair so neat and tidy.
+張邪 ik and i wonder how do they keep them from slipping off
i put a few on my wig and they slipped so easily!
decora was the very first japanese fashion i ever gotten into that was back in the beginning of 07
Same here (but I started in 2010)! But now I dress in Fairy kei, but seeing all decoras gives me such a throwback! 💕

it’s not, you can make diy stuff, it’s pretty cheap
too much for my taste, if anything Id try a lighter side of it. but I've no problem walking around with a plushie back pack and colorful pinned hair ^^ just...not this much. bet they are tons of fun to hang with! !! :D
