I think everything changed after the Eva incident. It happened in the first match of the new season. Mourinho was champion of England 2 months before and everything collapsed after that moment for him. Even his happiness never truly came back. I always felt like he knew something about her and her relationship with the club that the world didn't know but he couldn't say it and had to be portrayed as the bad guy publicly
Her ex husband said she slept with top men at Chelsea. Aside from that regarding the sideline incident, Jose probably shouldn't have thrown out the insult

in 2003 when Jose coach Roman's Chelsea or 2008 when City buy Robinho, people didnt think of them as threat. It become apparent that these 'traditional club fans ' dont like succesfull upstart. gas/ oil money as excuse to hate them is hypocryte at best when every traditional big club is also backed by foreign money (Yes, shares are still foreign money with extra steps), and willingful ignorant at best.

United wanted to compete and win d league. but they wouldnt back him. Everything was wrong from the board. he would have really made a difference if they had backed him. Other side pep is making transfers for fun. Klopp was given 2 seasons just to build a team and Liverpool board had a vision . in United they were buying Players for marketing without understanding manager requirements.
