    What makes Ghost protein worth the hype? Ghost Whey tastes great, mixes well, and the addition of digestive enzymes makes it easy on the stomach, even if you have a milk sensitivity. It’s low in sugar and fat, and suitable for post-workout or any time of day. The one drawback is that it comes at a higher price point ($1.73 per serving vs the average of $1.27).

      Just make sure you mix the protein with a bit of luke warm water first before adding it to your hot coffee. From my experience, this helps keep it smooth.

    I love the nutterbutter with water because its easier to drink and its not so thick, but you can go either way and it doesn't matter, I change it up depending on what type of mood I'm in

      I think it's a good balance between taste and quality. It's above the average price for whey proteins ($1.34 is average, and $1.74 is Ghost), but it's definitely not the most expensive protein I've seen. All this to say, you won't go wrong with Ghost. Might take a bit to find a couple flavors you like, just because there are so many to choose from!

    Thanks for the review! Does "no amino acid spiking" mean no BCAA's? Most powders have something on their label about BCAA's and it's absent on the Ghost label.

    • @feast_good
      @feast_good  Рік тому +2

      No no, that's not what that means. This is amino acid spiking: feastgood.com/protein-spiking/. Read that article for all the details, but essentially, amino acid spiking is when a supplement company fills a protein powder with cheap amino acids instead of whole protein, which tricks the protein quality test and makes the product look higher in total protein than it is. This isn’t dangerous to your health, but you could be wasting money and missing out on results.

  • @magnoliamike
    @magnoliamike Рік тому +4

    It's my favorite is the nutterbutter one too. I only take it right after I workout every other day. I could take it more but it's costly, I tried to get most of it with my food, but if I were to take it twice a day it would be a lot better, it would be an extra like 70 grams of protein because if you take it with milk you can an extra 8-10 grams. And the nutter butter one is like 26 grams

    I've used Isopure whey protein isolate unflavored. And I've used Bulk Supplements whey protein isolate unflavored. Both are pretty similar. I like that they're almost pure protein.
    I've been mixing with fat-free plain Greek yogurt, with some cocoa powder, a little strawberry jam, stevia and bananas. So it's kinda like a chocolate pudding dessert. I think the Ghost protein would be a good mix-in, so I wouldn't need to add all of the other stuff, just protein and yogurt. I'm going to give it a try.

    • @feast_good
      @feast_good  Рік тому

      If you like mixing whey with other kinds of food, an unflavored option is probably the best. But if you're looking for something just to have on its own with water or milk, Ghost tops the charts on taste.

      Hmm, that must have been a one-off (with the scoop). They usually come fixed to the top of the container. That's my experience now buying dozens of Ghost protein bottles.
      I'm unsure what you're referencing when talking about "it's cancerous" and "anti-inflammatory".

    This is an affiliate link. Feel free to use it or don't. There's no extra cost to you. It simply helps me purchase more product to review for the channel.
    Also, it's important to mention, an affiliate link is NOT a sponsored link. I paid for this product 100% with my own money and reviewed it independently. I have never received any financial compensation from manufacturers for reviews. Companies never know that I'm reviewing their products before a video gets published.
    It makes no difference to me whether I love or hate the product, I simply tell you my candid opinion.
    So while I can receive commissions for referring sales to products, if you end up being disappointed with my recommendation and don’t come back to the channel, I lose my audience trust. This is why I always set a very high standard for my review process, and constantly strive to provide the best, most honest, and most helpful information.

      I think it depends on the flavor though. All of the signature flavors (Oreo, Chips Ahoy, etc.) are all pretty sweet. Some people might like that, others not so much. It just depends on whether you prefer a sweeter taste or not. Ghost has a TON of flavors outside the signature ones that are all decent in my opinion.

    Seems a little biased if you have a affiliate link

    • @feast_good
      @feast_good  2 місяці тому +2

      Affiliate links are ways that content creators make money and there's definitely a right and a wrong way to do things.
      Let me explain:
      1. 100% of the products we test are purchased at full price.
      As such, we retain complete editorial independence in our videos and never receive financial compensation from manufacturers for reviews. It makes no difference to us whether we love or hate the product - we simply tell you our candid opinion.
      We only become affiliates of products AFTER we test them, and none of our authors or video creators know which products we're affiliated with.
      Only the Founder, me (feastgood.com/about/about-avi-silverberg/), knows.
      We’ve published plenty of product reviews where after our testing process we very bluntly tell you we DO NOT think it’s a good product (i.e. RP Diet App).
      We're an affiliate for RP Diet, but we tell you our honest thoughts after multiple years of testing, and we leave it up to you to decide whether you want to use it (feastgood.com/rp-diet-app-reviews/).
      That brings me to the next point...
      2. Any product or service we recommend has been first-hand tested.

      Believe it or not, many websites and UA-cam channels claiming to review products simply rely on third-hand accounts by reading people’s experiences on Amazon or forum sites like Quora or Reddit. They have not actually tested the product themselves.
      This is why, for any product review we publish, we use the product for several days, sometimes weeks and months, before sharing our thoughts and opinions.
      In the case of Ghost, two people used Ghost for a minimum of 1 month (Jenn who is a nutrition coach, and Matteo who you see on camera). They used Ghost in multiple different contexts (pre-workout, post-workout, on its own, for breakfast, before bed, etc.). They also used ghost with water, milk, and in several recipes (oatmeal, protein pancakes, etc.). We published an article talking about these experiences and it was only after that, did we publish the UA-cam video because we know it's harder to update UA-cam videos vs articles.
      When testing a product, we do so based on several criteria, which are specific to each product category.
      For example, when we’re evaluating a whey protein, we use criteria such as transparency, taste, mixability, satiety, price, and several other factors.
      Also, when possible, we test the claims made by the manufacturer for a specific product.
      We’re not just relying on a company’s sales page to tell us how a product performs, we actually try to stress test the product based on different use cases.
      In conclusion:
      While we do receive affiliate commissions for referring sales to specific products, if you end up being disappointed with our recommendation and don’t come back to our site or channel, we lose our audience. This is why we always set a very high standard for our review process, and constantly strive to provide the best, most honest, and most helpful information.
      Happy to hear your thoughts on this, too.

    Ghost has flavors, but there are much better options for the money if you are serious about your workouts. Ask yourself why their calories and fat are higher than most competitors? To Ghost, Flavor > performance. Be smart, work out smart, choose smart... avoid Ghost products. Even this review points out the BS marketing gimmicks GHOST takes to sell their crap.

    What about the fact that it has three different proteins, it has whey concentrate and isolate and hydro, what’s the point? Concentrate is trash and deluded with carbs

    • @feast_good
      @feast_good  Місяць тому +1

      Hmm, I wouldn't call concentrate trash. It's just not as processed as the other types to remove the carbs. Some people prefer whey concentrate because it adds more satiety. But I definitely prefer 100% whey isolate, especially post-workout.
