Sorry for the late upload today, me and technology doesn’t always get along. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there, those with us and those looking over us 👍
Your editing is top class Adrian, the way your videos are fast paste, full of different jobs and not drawn out like what others be at. Got sick of watching people talking in the cab of a tractor for 25mins plus. Keep up the good work and most “importantly” that humour you have. A real joy to watch with my boys every Sunday 👍🏼
Your humour, with the added bonus of your accent, is the best! When you cracked up at the 'drinker', I laughed out loud. Love your vids Adrian and have a great Dad's day.
OMG Adrian, I'm a truck driver, long distance, I was sitting in my bunk when I was watching this video. When you cracked up at the water trough you made me laugh out loud. So funny. Really enjoy what you bring to us, thanks for making my day.
I’m here alone chuckling to myself like a eejit 😂😂. God how I love your videos, thank you for all you do to keep us abreast of what goes on in farming life along with the Irish humour. Your math skills are as good as mine lol (born in the 60’s but I was 18 ten years ago 🤣😂). Living in Dublin I don’t get much fresh air so I live the good life through your channel, thanks for that Adrian 👌👍 ☘️☘️🇮🇪
I must say your channel is defenatly getting better and better ever time I watch it while eat my breakfast. It's become my breakfast show. Love it, keep up the great work.
Post rot tip. Adrian get yourself an empty 210 litre oil drum. Fill to the bottom ring with waste engine oil. Place all your fence posts in the drum and leave for two weeks after which take out and store until required. This should slow the wet rot and save you some work and money over time.
@@gerardoconnor5010bought a few last week, be interesting to see the difference. I know they’ll be good in straight lines but will they take the strain of reels from strip grazing
Happy Father's Day Adrian. Late watching today so when I laughed, no tea going everywhere. Your math skills are amazing. Please send extra rain to Central Florida. Northwest of Orlando we are in a severe drought. Trees are falling down in 20 mph winds. It's crazy.
Great video Adrian! I'd guess it's rabbits chewing the cables on the fencer unit, the ones you kindly leave the tracks for when spreading slurry 😉 We had an indoor pet rabbit once, she chewed through every cable behind the TV one night, even the neutral wire on the power cable, amazing she didn't get electrocuted! ⚡ Like how they make a path through briars in a ditch I guess
The weed killer is not sticking to the plant and just runs off before it is absorbed i have the same trouble here with certain plants. I have add Dawn dish soap as a binder to help it stick to the plants better.Ya Vaseline works good for covering battery terminals to keep them from corroding.
The old Vaseline trick been around for years silicone grease works just aswell. Most water trough valves need to be serviced every now and again. You can get little solar panels for the fence units to charge the battery
Tip; turn the plastic tightening ring against the thread direction until it clicks. Then turn it the right way and it should never cross thread. Hope this works for you. Bo is my all time favourite heifer. 😊
Just goes to show your never to old to learn, a guy i worked with in my teens showed me the other way so i never thought anything of it or than it was wrong. When you actually step back and look at it sure it makes sense 👍
Adrian I used to work on a clay shooting ground and the favourite for chewing cables were squirrels they loved them I am told the plastic tastes of aniseed to them, that might be your answer, as for your weeds try a roundup and grazon mix it works well.
Never sick of watching silage or sullrey. The best time of year. Look forward to it each year. And it is never the same , always some thing different. Love your videos, Keep up the good work. How id your new tagging system now that most or all of it is done.
Clipex stakes and 75mm round pipe for strainers. You get 3 strainers from each 6metre lenght. Strainers end up cheaper than timber. Put a plactic top on the post. Only part of your fence thats not galvanised steel is the plastic insulators.
Great video Adrian, post driver is a great machine there. I cut half our field with the topper and the other half with the mower. Will be able to tell you in a few weeks which is better.👍💪😁
Hi Adrian, although I agree that disc mowers cut better, toppers do a much better job mulching where as a disc mower will just leave a trail of grass. We keep blades sharp on our topper although it’s not as quick as a disc mower we’re happy with it. Also it handles poached ground much better.
Great video Adrian, had to rewind at the trough because of giggles and missed what you were saying 😂 good banter at the cottage,,,,,,water and toilets! All this rain now Makes me wonder if it’s nature’s way to help the maze grow quicker as it was sown late, anyway have a good week🍻
Very enjoyable video Adrian. Just thinking while watching you open the set of gates into the big silage field, what would you think of an 8ft gate on the opposite side in the other field where the heifers were. As they were gathering watching you all you have to do is open it and let them cross the lane. 🤔
If you ever find out how to get rid of these weeds that glyphosate won't kill off please do share, as my parents road sides and hardstandings that don't get used much are full of them
@9:30 looks like Rosebay Willowherb, or Fireweed, a very resilient species that is the first to colonise burnt areas. Not sure why RoundUp has no effect, maybe doesn't kill the roots?
Great video/jobs, and tips Adrian 👍 Aye there's always that wan awkward 🐄 😂 cheese-n-slice Adrian I 🗣️my ☕ out, when you said "Sinead didn't believe you about the vaseline"😂🤣😂 Can't wait for the next episode 👍 Have a wonderful day Adrian and family ❤
That weed the round up didn't kill reminds me of the Kochia weed we have over here in Canada, its pretty much resistant to glyphosate (round up), best make a spicy mix of different chemicals to try and kill it
Lol, great video as usual Adrian. Thanks for the laughs.😅 And if we didn't like watching you doing tractor work like mowing and mucking, I'm not sure we'd be subscribed! 😂 Have a good week! Cheers from over here in the States! ❤🐄🚜🌱❤
I personally prefer plastic water troughs over the concrete ones because the concrete troughs are very delicate and fragile meaning they’re at risk of breaking and cracking if they’re not handled with proper care.
Treat the fence posts before you put them in with Evo Stick Creocoat or there is a cheaper (smells like burnt oil) Creo Cote... I prefer the EvoStick brand.. stand your posts in a trough and lash it on, they will last years longer.. great videos.. 😊❤
Im up north and running into the same thing with the same weed. The roundup turned them purple and doesn't kill them. MCPA seems to do a better job, same stuff in the selective weed killers.
Instead of Round up (glyphosate) try using Amine 625, made by Reylon. it’s a selective herbicide that exclusively target broadleaf weeds and has proven effective for those that round up won’t touch. We would use this here in Australia a month before direct sowing of crops or pasture. Do your usual research, but this may do the trick.
That plant that survived glyphosat is Persicaria maculosa, I found an english word, but I have no glue, if that is really how you call it, its redshank. But there is also a bird called redshank...
Hi Adrian, would you not consider start putting down a few concrete posts, even if it’s just at the straining posts at the ends or on bends? Last forever!
ahh good old vasaline... any dairy farmer has tub of it laying around and yeah it works to fix items but after hearing the fence corner story i was like... he was fixing fence post and he is moving the ladies so why not just add a new gate right there to fix the corner problem and sending them long way to new field and could even keep old corner gate if sending them somewhere else. ohh waiting on cow... well you can wait for cows to come home all you want but that is never few min haha.
I guess we’re going to have a great Christmas bloopers after filming the trough scenes 😆👌. I’m hoping summer comes soon as the land is still strangely wet 🤦♂
28 no at least 25,😂🤣 looked like you were taking that cow fow a walk, wonder what would have happened if you would have tried to do a sit and stay. 🤣 The plumber we used have, sadly retired now used to swear by the vaseline, he said it would always make things slide in an out easier. 😎 👍

Go and buy clipex stakes and save even more money, time and work, especially never ending replacing of rotten stakes
Isn’t that banned in Ireland?

I think the vaseline conversation featured in a previous video. All i will say is the jar looked pretty well used lol. another good one Adrian
Your humor is absolutely spot on! Another video that did not disappoint. Hoping for good days ahead!

Excellent update!
I love the way you can move the cattle all by yourself with just a little "come on."
Happy Father's day.
The weed at the cottage is redshank. Grazon Pro will kill it.
Round up works but takes ages to work if there big
Happy Father’s Day!!
My brother was a plumber and her used vasaline on anything that had a rubber washer to stop it sticking, like sink and bath taps etc.
Roundup and grazeon mixture will work well on your weeds at the cottage.
Tip; turn the plastic tightening ring against the thread direction until it clicks. Then turn it the right way and it should never cross thread. Hope this works for you.
Bo is my all time favourite heifer. 😊
That makes good sense 👌👍
Good to see you using those end end insulators the right way now, I remembered thinking what is this guy doing when I first watched your channel

Absolutely hilariously, getting on with life and having the craic! Fair play to you Adrian 😂🤣😂
Sure if we don’t laugh we’d nearly cry 🤷🏻♂️ 👍
That post driver is a pretty handy attachment.
You are lucky to have field as pasture, that mower works great. Topper rotor with Y knives is only options for us
9:29 I'd need a closer look but my guess is that plant could be some sort of Willowherb
Adrian I used to work on a clay shooting ground and the favourite for chewing cables were squirrels they loved them I am told the plastic tastes of aniseed to them, that might be your answer, as for your weeds try a roundup and grazon mix it works
well.

You won’t beat the come after the mower Cahil, although there’s not much growth this weather
Adrian, good video again. Great tips on your fixing things. Cows are a funny bunch!
Well Adrian, I hope you’re doing well. Please Do a video servicing the disc mower
Hi Adrian, although I agree that disc mowers cut better, toppers do a much better job mulching where as a disc mower will just leave a trail of grass. We keep blades sharp on our topper although it’s not as quick as a disc mower we’re happy with it. Also it handles poached ground much better.

Try adding some dish soap to the weed killer. It makes it stick to those glossy leaves .
Use Dawn soap. The other ones don't work.

The power isn’t in round up anymore, even grass is returning after a few short weeks.
The new selective stuff is double the dose from the last batch I used. Enjoy your Sunday!
Use roundup 360 or 480, the biactive is just water now
Another great video has always Adrian and family 👍😊
On the green remote charger… we find it’s Hares that nibble the wires 😬 little buggers ( North Yorkshire Wolds)
Good video Adrian, that weed is redshank a hard one to get rid of.

Mix grazon pro or scrubkiller with the round up
The weed is called a willow herb, think scrub clear is the best to get rid of it.
When im sprayin i mix round up with a bit of forfront t or mcpa
Great video Adrian

😂😂😂😂😂 Have a wonderful Dad day. 🤗❤️🌈🙏🕊️
Happy fathers day 🐄
The growth is terrible Adrian for June. I think you will be spot on with the mower hypothesis, will be interesting to see the difference.👍
Mix parstermaster with the roundup it wiloherb
Had you any trouble with the spool valve in the tractor
