My husband finds it very funny that his aged wife nowadays speaks with authority about welding, farm machinery, cattle, electric fences, field grazing rotation, instead of knitting yarns and crochet.
@@IFarmWeFarm Go to bed Adrian!!😂. I’m a long time fan from Boston( originally north county Dublin farming area). Love your videos, it makes me nostalgic for home. Thanks for the great wholesome content of your lovely farm and family.!!👍
Watching you prepare for winter really makes me appreciate how much behind-the-scenes work goes into keeping a farm running smoothly. Respect for all your hard work! 💪
🇨🇦 8:30a.m. on the west coast, so it's 'Sunday breakfast in Ireland' 💚 Love watching this, though I can't quite express why. I know I don't butter a piece of bread without an appreciation of what it took to make it.
Great to hear the Bossman is doing well. I’d love to see one of those 4x4 gator things on the farm so he could get out and about with you the odd time …. Just to keep an eye on you !! Great video as always Adrian 👌🏻
Great video Adrian definitely the start of winter 😢 you keep the lights on for the cattle my local vet keeps music 🎶 on at night for any animals staying over 😊 it's keeps them calm stay safe.
I came to your channel from when you were first exposing the old cottage. But what great content. You need a lot of kit to be a farmer. Not just milking cows. 🤣
Lovely bit of welding Adrian I can see that you’re a seasoned stick welder, especially useful for the thicker gauge metal. Mig is perfect for sheet and up to 6mm I’ve found but if you want good weld penetration, stick every time 👍🏻. Photo cell switches work on infrared light in the night. Daylight sends the switch open circuit and infrared light causes a photo electric effect and sends the switch closed circuit hopefully that explains that in short. Yes there is even light in the pitch black 😂. Really pleased that you got a break from the weather this year the farmers needed a bit of luck for once. The farmers in Suffolk are well ahead this year and the winter wheat is sprouting already. Great episode at least I’m not drying my eyes this week 😂🤣😂
Well Adrian, how u keeping, great tidy farm, u are a handy man at fixing things, cattle be happy in , lovely silage, bad weather now rain 🌧 & wind , chat soon kieran from laghey donegal town
The season has officially started. All your preparations will pay off as you know. Your farm has accomplished a lot this year. Thank you for sharing.🐄🇺🇸
Another great video Adrian. I hope those metal scraps that are now in tank don’t cause you problems in the future. I would guess that they will rust away quickly.
A blessing to have the cows in a month later than last year - how are you going with Ashley, I saw your short and hope that was the worst of the damage done
Entertaining as usual, one thing I would say is any time working on slats I always put something over the stars a big piece of cardboard or some old carpet its to easy to loose something down the slats, the plate is obviously been cut off a pin location point can't recall what you cut it off, was it off the digger to fit bigger rams, good luck to you and the family
I think if you can melt 2 pieces of metal together and they don't fall apart, then you are a welder. The welds might not be pretty, but the primary goal is to have them stay together. Just my humble opinion.
I’ve been using Resins for bolt joints with threaded bar for the past few years . I even add it to clamp bolts on poor walls. It would be ideal in on the cubicles to stop all the “###” getting into the fixing. 👍
@@IFarmWeFarm Adrian another comment up above Said please uncoil your extension leads As it's dangerous and you certainly don't need that. You're brilliant with all that you do on your Farm. God bless you and your family
Glad you got another month in the fields, from what the camera shows the fields are still green and lush so were not able to see the state of the grass. Lets hope that spring weather lets you let the cows out on time, do you have enough sileage if it doesn't? The girls art work has certainly paid off, don't think I saw any crow pecked bales, which is definitely a good thing. 👍
I kind of did on other videos, the “history of the farm” explains all the costs of the buildings and how i went about paying for them. There’s one on the parlour also with a full breakdown of costs too. Having a good financial adviser or accountant that can give good advice is invaluable.
Good man Adrian, all the very best with the fodder season. Just a suggestion regarding working in the slated sheds,if you put down a half sheet of ply theres less chance of dropping things down between the slats.
Getting yer squats in whilst sharpening that blade I see, you should review your back catalog of vlogs and piece together an iFarmWefarm fitness video Adrian… just in time for Christmas 🎄😂
Adrian, Uncoil the extension lead fully especially before plugging in something like a welder, danger of it melting the way you had it around 11mins in. I know you like things neat and tidy but better off with the lead unrolled. Look after your Dad great videos as always.
Hi Adrian did you wear a mask while you were grinding the rusty metal I have lung disease not good to be grinding without a mask I'm only looking out for your health .Great videos look forward to every Sundays to seeing them
That yellow bracket came off the old Johnson backend sheargrab.I remember you not been sure the front loader was going to make that much of a difference , would you go back now? 😅
Good work on the vid sir.... but.... why did you not just use dissimilar rods and weld that beam straight to the concrete?😮🤪🤪.. Next year your going to be wandering where that nut came from in yer tanker 😮.. I'm glad your dad's doing OK and you managed to leave the silage bales till my birthday 😂 15th Oct.. there's still folk trying to cut barley over here.. stay safe 🏴
Hayknife, most agri suppliers would have them. There extremely handy as you can reach across the bale to cut it and it’s big enough so you ( I ) can’t loose it.
The amount of farmers leaving lights on with cattle during the night completely baffles me! Data and common sense lads, cows are not afraid of the dark🙈
The yellow plate was of our older shear grab head which we converted with euro brackets for the loader. Well done to all that got it right 👏👏
Tip for ya, place a cow mat or 8x4 sheet under ya when working on slats, saves lookin for stuff in the tank!!!😊
My husband finds it very funny that his aged wife nowadays speaks with authority about welding, farm machinery, cattle, electric fences, field grazing rotation, instead of knitting yarns and crochet.
😂😂
Keep on learning! Helps stave off old age of the brain, being aged myself.
This should be the pinned comment 🤣👍👏👏👏
Not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing 😂😂

Just started to look recently @ your videos, all I can say is the whole farm is a credit to you and your Family
I always look forward to seeing your videos. You explain what your doing and those of us that aren't farmers can follow along.
It's a credit till you the way you care for all your machinery and tools you use.
God bless your parents. Mine are both in their 90s now. ❤
Good luck with your autumn winter season.😊

HI good morning for the people in Ireland from Indiana

The cows look very healthy. Looking forward to the calves coming. 👍👍
You love a creative project. It’s a pleasure to come along with you and your family
The cows look really comfy and content!!! Love watching you fix things.
I once heard a farmer once said the 2 best mechanics and fitters were good grease and good oil couldn't be beat

Welding with the reel mostly rolled up 😮 I've seen many a reel lost like that! 💥🔥

Hi there loving the videos I think it was the shear grab could be wrong keep up the good work well wishes ciaran
Simple things mount up over a single year
Think that on back tractor.great way cut bale beside trying pull apart have one roll out bale thar good job too

Can you do a video of the economics of a farm and how the money side of things work?
I kind of did on other videos, the “history of the farm” explains all the costs of the buildings and how i went about paying for them. There’s one on the parlour also with a full breakdown of costs too. Having a good financial adviser or accountant that can give good advice is invaluable.
That yellow bit of steel was part of the old shear grab mast for the back of the tractor
Wats that yoke you were useing for liming the beds I’m trying to make life a bit easier for myself and more easy for my farther
The yellow bracket came off the old shear grab when you changed it from the back lifter to the front loader on the case
A shear grab that was on a mast on the back of the tractor the plates were cut of too weld on euro brackets
The yellow bracket was of the old Johnston back end shear grab 😉
Twose Sheargrab is what the yellow peice of metal was of ? Great video as always Adrian and glad to hear dad is keeping better 😊

Good video once again, did you forget to rebuild that block wall as last year the wind was hitting it hard and you had to brace it

You should galvanise those posts, last alot, longer
Adrian, can you tell the difference in the tractor after you sharpen that blade?
That yellow bracket came off the old Johnson backend sheargrab.I remember you not been sure the front loader was going to make that much of a difference , would you go back now? 😅
Never go back 🤝
Why don’t you bring the cows in and out of the top door up where the cows come in and out of the yard of the newer shed Adrian ?
Shear grab
Cows are in, and winter feeding has begun. Let’s have some fun.
Didn’t you need to remove that to allow access to something for the rear digger???
TELLUS Adrian whats the name of the rust converter. That you were painting on the R.S.J. and where can it be got. GOD BLESS FROM wicklow
The yellow plate was off your shear grab Adrian
‘Twas off the old 3 point link shear grab when you put the loader brackets on I’m guessing 🤔
Would you not consider having some bales at the home farm Adrian save all that time and travelling
What is that rust converting spray you are using?
Adrian, why do farms call it a milking parlor? This is a city girl where parlors were for entertaining your guest. From your Texas friend
Good work on the vid sir.... but.... why did you not just use dissimilar rods and weld that beam straight to the concrete?😮🤪🤪.. How do I get my grease gun to make that cool noise😮🎉❤
Well boy how all, could you tell me where you get one of them lads for opened net on bale's bale's, looks very handy
Hayknife, most agri suppliers would have them. There extremely handy as you can reach across the bale to cut it and it’s big enough so you ( I ) can’t loose it.
Look forward to your videos every Sunday 😊
Where u get your cattle brush
8.27 is that a metal shard going into the tank?
Sheergrab on the back of the tractor 🚜?
where did you get your lime bedder
Its ofg the sher grab mast when you ware making the sher grab able to use on the front loader instead of the mast.?
👍👍👍👍👍
Great watch enjoyed it , what does the lime do?
Lime help stop the transfer of bacteria when a cow lies down, helps keep the mats dry too
Man that can does it again, thank you Adrian for a most entertaining video.GHTYAY
You replaced the brackets with the euro brkts
Hi Adrian can i ask where did u get your jumper you have on lad please great to hear your dad doing well
The green one in is from ridgeline, i ( sinead ) got it from their own website.
How many in the heard Adrian?
What’s the white powder for?
It’s hydrated lime, just helps prevent bacteria transfer when cows lie down
The amount of farmers leaving lights on with cattle during the night completely baffles me! Data and common sense lads, cows are not afraid of the dark🙈
Morning Adrian
😃😃🚜🚜👍👍
