Great job and look forward to seeing silage getting gathered and the pile getting higher.Be safe working on those hills and to Mr Gierok Happy Fathers' Day.
You guys have a great farming operation everything seems to move along so smoothly, everyone knows what to do to keep it moving along love watching your videos takes me back to my childhood. God bless you and your family, also say hi to your dad for me
Your videos are so nice hooking your trailers up and uncoupling them is so labour intensive. UK the UK with have hydraulic hitch on the back or run alongside with a tractor & trailer. Which you could do because you have anoth tractors. Looks lovely crop nice & dry .
I watched this video this morning and what a great way to start Father’s Day. I just love the sound of the 7810 pulling the chopper ( just wish you could share the smell). As usual enjoyed the video of you all working as well lubed machine.
New to the channel and new to watching chopping hay. I used to use a sickle mower 40 years ago when I was 13 and on my grandparents farm in SE Kansas to knock down hay and then bring a rake in to rake it up where my uncle, dad or grandpa would bale it into either 80lb square bales or large round bales. This is a totally different and fascinating experience and I look forward to following along and learning. I am glad you were in my YT home page suggestions. Great video quality and overall content!!
Sun is out, guns are out. Looks to be some nice silage, nice to seen the family working together. Great video, enjoying farm work. Haven't seen Owen in long time? Nice camera work and drone footage 👍👍🤙
When you are filming from the pile, you can really see how steep that field was. The cows should milk well on that feed this winter. Did you sell any boards??
Great video! Love the drone footage and music. I have 1 question: why don't you just pack against the already fermented silage, and feed from the other end while the new crop ferments? Anytime you allow oxygen into the silage, especially already fermented stuff, seems to cause spoilage faster. JW, I'm sure you have a reason.👍👍
Hay crop looks awesome compared to last year for sure. It was tuff going around my kneck of the woods farmers trying to get hay cut a chopped before rains or they hay is cut a rains .
As always very great videos 😊 would still be great to have a silage bunker? but this system works, those are some dandy hills you guys know what your doing, be safe 👍
The sky says rain! Now if only the weatherman would look at the sky, and where the wind is coming from, they might get it right! Not saying it isn't going to rain and all the while it's pouring!
Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming really enjoy your channel. I do have a question u were talking about the inoculant for the chopper what exactly is that I've never heard of it before I don't I grew up on a farm in Kansas and we never did hey so I was just wondering
Inoculants are desirable strains of bacteria that ensure better fermentation of the silage. It minimizes storage loss and better retains nutrients nutrients.
Did you ever think of bagging the stuff ,around here it popular ,you rent or buy the bagger and bags and away we go ,oh by the way we are from Canada ,,,,Darrell
I wonder why no one has invented a roller to mount behind the tractor using hydraulic pressure to compact sileage? Or, what about a tamper using hydraulic pressure?
Saw farmer once thar used a sheepsfoot roller like they used in landfills. H e got it at auction cheap he used originally used it to pack dirt for a huge pad he was pouring, then started using it for silage packing
Nice to see the family working together. Hope the weather cooperates to move on to finishing the rest of the silage pile!!!
It never gets old watching you guys harvest crops.
Long, hard days but very satisfying to have it gathered in. Great video. All the best 🇬🇧.
Beautiful Wisconsin farmland. Thank you, Gierok Farms.
If it feels like it or not. You’re living a dream. Nice older setup doing great work. Keep it up and keep your heads up
Hi
Look at those beautiful hills! Lovely day.
Best looking first crop silage i seen all spring
Great job and look forward to seeing silage getting gathered and the pile getting higher.Be safe working on those hills and to Mr Gierok Happy Fathers' Day.
Nice to see the 1066 working
Great video guys look forward to the next one . Have a safe summer
Love it when a plan comes together
it's really cool to see the windrow patterns from the drone.
Nothing better then fresh mowed hay! I can almost smell it.

Excellent camera work as always!
True definition of a family farm.
Congratulations on the crop and also on the no holes in the cover like last year. The drone shots of the fields really shows up the hills. Beautiful.

Great video! So glad you have a great crop! Wish I could smell the silage!

Thanks for sharing.
Great video for sure
Great video!
Great Job
Great awesome video guys
I used to be on a farm 55 years ago. I miss it. Like they say, you can take the boy out country. But you can’t take country out of the boy
When you are filming from the pile, you can really see how steep that field was. The cows should milk well on that feed this winter. Did you sell any boards??
Love way your videos ! I’ve wondered what the advantage is of a pile over silos is?

I am sure you need to take great care hooking up and unhooking wagons on your hilly land. Any interesting stories about that?
I must of missed a video of your dad planting corn
Beautiful looking first crop men gonna make lots of milk this winter with that stuff
Chopping the roadside there brought me back cause the old farmers I worked for did the same lol waste not want not lol
Do you guys have any FLAT land?
Wow, some steep hills there.
The sky says rain! Now if only the weatherman would look at the sky, and where the wind is coming from, they might get it right! Not saying it isn't going to rain and all the while it's pouring!
I miss the smell of it,the job ,everything on the farm ,,,Darrell
When are the hoodies and t-shirts coming???😊
Here in Michigan we call that 1st cutting
NY too.
great video

Much much more prefer your videos over the rich millenial types we see around. Good stuff man
Did you ever think of bagging the stuff ,around here it popular ,you rent or buy the bagger and bags and away we go ,oh by the way we are from Canada ,,,,Darrell
Oi 👍👍👍👍
Seems to me.
When you do hay it is always hot!
I wonder why no one has invented a roller to mount behind the tractor using hydraulic pressure to compact sileage? Or, what about a tamper using hydraulic pressure?
HOLY CRAP YOU ARE TRULY ON TO SOMETHING. I farmed for over 45yrs and seriously never thought of that
@@gunnarbeck225 I wonder if you could adapt road building equipment to compact a pile?
Saw farmer once thar used a sheepsfoot roller like they used in landfills. H e got it at auction cheap he used originally used it to pack dirt for a huge pad he was pouring, then started using it for silage packing
Before the advent of chopping hay (haylage?) what would you have done with this hay?
It would have been left for longer and then cut and dried so it could be square baled they will probably do some of that around late June early July
Have you considered more silos?
I'm surprised u guys don't go with Ag bags I know it is a little bit more expensive but might b easier ❤
Was there a low tire on the tractor that was packing?
You could play some swiss polkas or irish work songs
How many horse.power is the tractor you are chopping with?
each silo needs side walls for big volume
How much does a loaded chopper box weigh?
Driving on hills like that would make me nervous
Who milks on days you're in the field?
U need Agri- speed Hitches
Why you never had silos? Lot less labor putting in and out. High priced now but 40 years ago should have been normal for the farm.
The Gaikoesk lease my land
If your wagons could unload from the rear, it would save you LOTS of time,
Great video. It was hard to watch the mesquite sucking blood from your head. To many of those pests .
I bet the chopper and box sucks the hp out of the tractor on those hills.
How many cows do you milk?
Why don’t the boys learn to harvest the hay?
I think I would build 2 pits less trouble the way you guys do it is dangerous and to much work
Now that was one bloated and happy mosquito!
whos doing the milking
those hills dont lookgood with a fullwagon dont know how you doit grreat work
Looked to me they weren't filling the wagons super full
When your'er covering yhe pile
OK
日本だと道路と曲がり道が狭いから、これは使えない😂
Essa máquina de ajuntar o pasto quanto custa
No use asking questions, they never reply!
Bye
Wow, that is interesting you feel that way, I personally have seen them answer many questions during their conversations in the videos.
