Robb being a master tactician that managed to defeat the Lannisters and Capture Jamie, starting the long chain of humiliation for him, its just poetic. Robb was such a menace he had to be betrayed and backstabbed in orther to stop him reaching Kingslanding
The genius of this scene is that Tywin is probably having the most intelligent conversation he will have with any of his children, and it’s with the child he hates. Tyrion is smarter than all his siblings put together, but Tywin is only able to see his deformities and thus misjudges him. He also does this with Robb. Tywin underestimates others, that’s his fatal flaw.
Tywin basically offered Tyrion winter fell, at least if the Lannister were to succeed under Tywin’s plan, Tyrion will get winter fell. If you ask me it’s way more than any other second sons will get in Westeros.
More like a double edged sword. On one hand Tyrion will get to rule over the largest part of westeros. One the other hand the northerners are fiercely loyal to the Starks that they would stop at nothing but to follow the starks, and if there are no Starks left they are not easily seen to follow a non-northerner. except for a few houses and house Bolton whose loyalty can never be trusted. Along with that the North is almost barren and is a wasteland of snow. If the houses loyalist don’t kill him, its either the cold or poor handling of the north he would starve.

It’s nothing new that Tywin massively underestimated and underappreciated Tyrion, but he’s just another example as Tyrion actually met the Starks and broke bread with them, and spent a good deal of time both with Robb and Jon. Tywin would’ve done well to ask Tyrion’s insight on the enemy more.

What i like about tyrion was that regardless of what "side" he was on, he was never against anybody. Only those who meant him true harm were the ones he would look out for but even then, he was never active in trying to kill someone or ruin them in some personal way. The only exception is his father and somewhat his sister. Despite everything, he wanted his sister to live.
And Tyrion was right, Tywin does end up liking Robb. At least respect him enough to treat him as a genuine threat. One that couldn’t be defeated with an army. One that needed arguably the most horrific war crime in Westeros to defeat.
Tyrion had one hell of an intuition, but then again, he had a decent insight to Robb. Tywin grossly underestimated Robb, and Tyrion, in his own way, warned him not to.

Early GoT scripts and execution were so good. Great subtleties as Tywin both belittles his son and then acknowledgement when Tyrion warns about Robb. Tywin never met the Stark boys - he thought they would be soft like his own heirs. Tyrion knew they were stoic and far more used to hardship.
I love how Tyrion was smart enough to always have a respect for those around him, even his enemies. Definitely a result of him being treated with such unfair cruelty his entire life.
He should have listened to her in the beginning, though she certainly made terrible choices after the fact. Roose iirc stated he betrayed Robb the moment he sent Theon to the Iron Isles because it was that stupid of a move, but otherwise would not have. And while his uncle was told not to engage, he should have been told why, to ensure the plan went properly without any issues. Robb made plenty of mistakes of his own accord.
