      It’s always best to do your own test drive and due your own due diligence.
      The butter smooth ride of the Ariya will put Lexus to shame.

      I would stay away from any Japanese EV for years to come. They are way behind and are still mostly anti-EV despite what they or their supporters say. They still believe that hybrids and hydrogen are the future.

    Nice review. I'm excited for their Maxima ev. That was my dream car in college that I couldn't afford and since I am only willing to drive an ev now, would be super excited to come full circle and buy a Maxima EV. Hope they do a good job with it.

    I can't believe the Ariya doesn't have true one pedal drive. It's one of the best things about having an EV.

    Ah… ¡Qué bueno! Siempre gozo de tus videos, Lorena. Mis impresiones: the AWD range is far too low, even pitiful. I thought it had a flat cargo floor, but with removable, adjustable panels…? Isn't that what those "guides" accommodate along the sides of the cargo area? I'm not a fan of haptics, and would rather have real buttons. I'm glad it has wireless Apple Car Play! I'm disappointed that it doesn't have TRUE one-pedal driving: that's a must for me. At least its charge port is reachable at a Supercharger by pulling in frontwards. I've seen at a "Magic Dock" site in Lamar, CO, that an Ariya achieved a charge of 126kW, much faster than you experienced. My conclusion: it is a decent EV, an improvement over the LEAF, but… there are many other -better- models.

    As soon as Highland performance is available to order in Phoenix I'm buying it!! Super excited🎉🎉 as this will be my first EV. Stealth Grey black interior. I love the acceleration, tech , minimalism and stalkless design it's futuristic. I can't wait 😅😅😅

    While my XC40 Recharge is not efficient, I always get 153 kW or better when I navigate to a 150 kW or faster DCFC.

    Test drove one nice but price ,range charge speed, and adjustable brake regen needs work. Range is equivalent to 2014 Tesla.

      Ariya range is lot higher than the stated EPA estimates of 289+++. I get around 310-330 miles on 95% charge
      Also, Tesla has over stated their range. You can read up on it.

    I share your enthusiasm for this car, Lorraine. The northern lights paint color is incredible in real life as you never know whether it’ll be green, purple, or black. Great review as always!

    Belated review. I own the platinum edition, it gives very good milage (about 3.7-4.0 on highway with Propilot turned on). Quiet interior and mostly soft ride.

    It's a good thing that e-pedal is gone. This save brakediscs from rusting when the brakes has to be engaged for a full stop. This will keep the service cost down for the owner.

    Wow that is a lot of money for something so...featureless and boring?

    • @marketbuy

      I have the Evolve+ with the 87 Kwh battery. Ariya is an awesome EV. The Ariya has many luxury features that are not offered on other EVs in it's class (like panoramic moonroof that can open and close, power sunshade cover, rear spoiler with wiper, electronic glove box, motorized center arm console, HUD, Birds aerial 360 cam, blind spot indicator, and a few other amenities that are too long to list). All those features add weight but it's so well worth owning it. Tesla Model Y Performance can never match what Ariya E4orce has included as "standard".
      Oh, I also get 310-330 mile range (higher than EPA estimate of 289+++)

      @acolon8999 4 місяці тому

      @@marketbuy When compared with a Tesla Model Y LR, this vehicle is more expensive, even without tax incentives, less performance, less range, much lower charging speed, no access to the Tesla Supercharger Network, less space (they couldn't even figure out how to make room for a Frunk), no one pedal driving, mediocre software.
      That's the compromise that manufacturers take when they don't build their BEVs from the ground up.
      Now this is not a fact but an opinion but I like the exterior design.

    • @acolon8999
      @acolon8999 4 місяці тому

      @@marketbuy At least here in the US the Supercharging Network is the largest and more reliable network and it appears that the majority of vehicle manufacturers are willing to switch to the Tesla connector even if it is to have available a portion of their chargers.
      Tesla doesn't set the EPA range testing procedures and before Tesla can assign an official EPA range, it must be approved by the EPA. If there is a lawsuit I would be a beneficiary, so it would be to the best of my interest if this lawsuit is won but if anyone is suing they will lose. They have a better chance suing the EPA which is the agency that approved the range.
      Even if you were right on those two things. What about all the other things that the Nissan lacks behind not just Tesla but many other compelling BEVs out there.
      I am glad you like it and enjoy it. But in today's market just as mentioned in this video for the money this vehicle needs a lot of improvements and lacks features that are common practice on compelling BEVs built from the ground up.
