This advice is amazing, you’re helping out so many players with information like this, I like the visualization part, because mental visualization turns into physical actions

Thank you Tyler! I appreciate you. I was wondering if anyone would like, or dislike, the video format. Glad you liked it. I thought it was good to explain what I wanted to say.

I’ve watched like 10 of your videos. All of them are really good. I really
Like how you talk about the approach to hitting. I’m “old” and play men’s league I’ve found myself swinging at everything. Getting behind in counts and swinging at junk. I’m not worried about my swing I’m worried about using it correctly and all your videos do a great job of explaining approach. This channel is gold. You have earned a subscription for sure.

Amazing! Thank you for watching. Some players struggle because they don't have a plan before stepping up to the plate. Glad you enjoy the channel. Thank you again

Excellent point. Major league baseball is a while different animal compared to what most of us play as far as a 2 strike approach is concerned

Tried this in the 2nd game of our first college series. Ball looked like a beach ball and I went 2 for 4. It was hard to trust at first but I’m thankful I did. Also had a teammate struggling and he cannot stop smiling now bc he hit 2 rockets the next 2ABs after I told him. This is my no strike approach now😂 Prairie View A&M University! My teammate thinks it’s gonna make us rich😂🙏🏽🙏🏽

So why does so much people tell you to look for outside pitches and react inside with 2 strikes? Especially in the lower leagues they try to put you away with outside pitches, and if it's a fastball I think it's very hard to react when you
Are looking for an inside pitch. Sorry for my English, that's not my first language.

      Hey Davide,
      Thanks for commenting!
So to answer your question, wouldn't you agree that to hit an outside pitch, you have to let it get deep? Well...if you are using this approach, you are also letting the inside pitch get deep, which means you will be able to hit the outside pitch (granted it is a strike).
To explain it a little more in depth, if you tell yourself that you are going to hit an inside pitch up the middle, it will keep your front shoulder closed and front hip from opening up...which will allow you to hit the outside pitch much better.
When I say look for an inside pitch, it's just a trigger to stay closed and not open up. You are obviously going to swing at the pitch away, if it is a strike. and even in the higher levels, the pitch will be away with 2 strikes, but now you gave yourself the best chance to be successful because you are going to keep yourself closed to hit.
What is your 1st language? Just curious.

@@JermaineCurtis55 HI! Thanks for your answer.
I come from Italy and I play baseball here in Italy. I went to some MLB camp across Europe so I learnt some English.
I think you are right because Pujols said so 😂 Jokes aside I have to swing the bat and see some live pitches in order to try what you are telling me and try to feel it.
I'm trying to take my baseball game to the next level so keep up with the videos! They are very interesting and they make me think about my swing or my approach!

      Hey Davide,
Your english is good. Very good.
When it comes to this approach, try it in front flips/toss first. Have your partner flip you the ball inside and hit it up the middle a few times until you get it, then have him throw the ball away to you for 2 strikes, you will notice that you can now cover the entire plate.

    • @JermaineCurtis55

@@Elovebaseball No, it wouldn't make you freeze on it. The entire idea is that you are just wanting the ball to get deeper which allows you to stay on the other pitches. If you can explain to them that idea, then they will not freeze on that pitch. 99% of the time the pitch will be away with 2 strikes. Its just a way of thinking, don't try to pull a pitch.
