Great video. I have watched all of them. Great explanation, awesome drills, and nothing over complicated. These cage drills are great! Thanks and keep up the great work. 55
Thank you so much! I once heard Barry Bonds say he tried to catch the ball with the bat. You gave me the visual. I cam now break it down go my 9 year old. So efficient and thanks again!
Great video Jermaine. You do a phenomenal job explaining and showing the drills in a simple and effective manner. I wish the kids on my team would take the time to watch!
So my son bats left throws right, should I look into finding him a left hand throw glove for the glove drill? Your videos are great, I truly appreciate the simplified breakdowns and your delivery. Keep it up you have and will continue to help countless people with your methods of instruction. This Sir is gold, I shall and will suggest and forward this on to others. Thank you
Hey J F2it, Thank you, I appreciate you. To answer your question, you can use a pancake glove, but if you're talking about the "catch drill", he can use his normal glove - just put it on his top hand and catch with it. If he batted right, then you would need to buy a glove or use a pancake glove.
😂, Oh man. What a dumb question when you specifically stated at the beginning what to do. I'll rewatch with no distractions this time. So forget the original question, but remember the rest of the statement. Thanks for reply!
Hey B, thanks for watching the video and commenting for a chance of winning. On another note, use that catch drill. A lot of problems will be solved by doing the catch drill correctly.
thanks for the help I have 3 games this weekend and I’ve been using some of your tips to really help me in practice and I’ll be trying to use in my games. Thanks for the help!
Love these drills Jermaine, can take your same lesson and use it to turn on inside pitch and take outside pitch the other way, all about hands and timing. thanks bro, we will be using it next time at the cages
Great drills... catch, pepper, 3/4 drill is a nice progression. Hadn't thought of doing a 1-hander off the machine but a good idea. Am thinking maybe dial the speed down to let it bounce in front of the hitter to simulate the curve ball but also take pressure off the elbow. Huge thanks, always great vids, appreciate it!
Steal and alternate this progression, Albert! haha thanks for watching, your comment, and for the positive feedback. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from this video. Probably, the most...besides my swing breakdowns. It feels good when I get those positive comments.
My son loves your videos. What kind of pitching machine you suggest. What are you using in this video. Do you suggest hard ball or the machine your using. I can by a net at Dicks it’s 22 feet long will that work
Thank you Mario! I appreciate it. Let me know how it goes when you implement those drills. Also, I just released a new video. Check it out. It's similar to this video.
Stumbled into your channel and love your approach. Keep swinging brother! You have great insight and are addressing things in ways other you tubers don't touch on. I'm going to try this with our 10u team. Can you tell me what pitching machine is featured in this video?
Thank you Michael! I appreciate it. I believe I'm starting to get this game of content. And, what people may want. Still a long ways to go but, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks again for your comment.
Thank you Patty! I appreciate you watching and commenting. If you enjoyed this video, you would love the video I just posted. It's similar to this video.
Great video. I love the progression. Do you have a recommendation of speed and how many reps with each progression? And how would you adjust it per age? A 17U player vs a 12U player? Thanks again! #55
My advice would be to start it at there normal speed - (17U -> 80mph? And 12U -> 50mph? I'm guessing), Then go from there. I usually just go off of what I seefrom the player. If he's struggling, lower it. If he's not, keep them there.
@@JermaineCurtis55 Hey man, here’s an update on our tournament. We went 2-0, and we are currently 3rd seed for tmr. But here’s the best part- I went 3-4 for the day. In other words, thank you!

I would say in the end of college, but honed into it in professional baseball. My on base percentage went up like crazy and I started hitting way better once I took it seriously.
Try it a few times and see how it goes. Basically, the diamond approach is like thinking 2-0,3-1. Hitter type counts where you can shrink the strike zone so you can do damage.
@@JermaineCurtis55 ok so in hitters counts use diamond approach. Or sit on a pitch that is to your advantage. For example, that would be pitches up in the zone for you, but pitches inside for me.
Also watching your swing reminds me of what I once saw and that was a net by a guy named Kenny Myers he was a minor league player just before WWll probably youngest guy to sign pro contract in old pacific coast league he was 15 but during the war he was injured and in a hospital for a year unconscious for 4 1/2 months later on he came up with a lot of hitting gadgets was ahead of his time he signed Willy Davis your action through the ball reminds me of that catch the fish in the net throw it up the line you look a lot like my father on those swings my father described Kenny Myers swing as very similar to Rafal palmero

Hey Jermaine I am as lost as I’ve ever been at the plate. I used to hit .500 in my sleep and would dominate every pitcher. Now I can’t hit literally anyone who is on the mound in games. It’s gotten so bad I’ve lost my starting job. I don’t know what to do today I barreled up the baseball in both at bats but they both went foul it’s extremely frustrating I’m at the point of giving up but it’s embarrassing because I can do it.

What if you throw with the same side you bat?
Ex: Left hand batter and thrower. You would have to bat/catch like righty?
Catch with the left hand if you're a left-handed hitter. If you're a right-handed hitter, you catch with your right hand.
