- In this video, former MLB player Jermaine Curtis walks you through 3 drills to help you see the baseball better when hitting. The 3 baseball hitting drills are the quarter drill which he learned from Chase Utley. The Bunt drills off a pitching machine, the tracking drill which is also off a pitching machine, and then he takes a few swings after. If you watch until the end, you will learn how players at the highest levels conquer the struggle of seeing the baseball.

Hi Jermaine. I really like your comments about hitting the balls up in the zone and focusing your tee drills that way. I love the high pitch, but am freezing up on them for some reason. I am swinging at the down and in breaking pitches way too often. Thanks.
Awesome! Glad I could add value. Make sure you tell yourself before the at bat that you are going to hammer the pitch up in the zone. Say it outloud and when you practice, practice with a purpose. Everything up in the zone.
