I think it’s clearly mentioned it’s a beginner course so one should not except very in depth knowledge to begin with plus you reviewed it mostly from a experienced working professional point of view and not from someone who is a complete beginner

I did review it from experienced pov but I made sure to include everything that a beginner would need to make a decision, hence my verdict that this course is worth it for people new to PM especially given the cost
First we need to build some project experience even if we do have different qualifications. Initially with Google and after few years of experience PMP Please confirm
PMP requires specific years of work ex or study ex. - check out their website for exact quote so that would be necessary additionally it is NOT required but will 100% help - getting work ex around managerial positions, this allows us to understand project and team management a bit better in the real world scenarios let me know if this answered your question

This course will be helpful get some idea of PM for sure but banking on a course to get a job is definitely not going to work imo. With that being said this course definitely will help you get a hang of project management principles which can translate well into marketing management as well with slight modifications on your own end I'll suggest exploring product management or brand management or marketing strategy based courses as well - great knowledge that can be translated to your career goals imho

One way to transition into a different role is to use your past experience - so in this case, I would suggest exploring this course or possibly PMP certification if you are eligible - a great way would be to explore PM roles within Biopharma or even within that for research based companies/projects. This way you don't discount your experience and your start as a PM doesn't happen from extreme 0 - also just a course cannot guarantee a job - hence my suggestion of looking at what you can do within your existing role - will also suggest to explore an internal transfer into manegerial or project roles if possible too

is it possible to pass it? yes but considering your background you won't be eligible for the exam I think, might want to look into it once also PMP cert does not automatically mean you'll get a job I'll rather suggest going through a basic PM course, then applying for PM internships and building a profile slowly - more sustainable and achievable

pmp certification is the prime thing that shows people you have what it takes - so at one point or another it is a good move if you wish to build a career however for now I will suggest a trying out a couple of capstone projects to get a hang of everything that's needed as a PM and then apply for internships instead. Internships are also a very strong gateway into full time jobs

There is an NGO called Alig society which is hiring for project management. The requirements are pretty basic like if you even know ABC of project management then they will hire you. Salary is 18k. So I thought to complete this course and do this job in Alig society which will give me one year experience. Would that be enough?
this should definitely be a good start for a project management career - might not be enough to get a job in a fortune 100 company but at the very least you put professional level experience on your resume :) NGOs usually tend to be a great way to get experience on the resume and ive seen multiple people do this approach successfuly with web development career :)
btw given how the market is it might not be easy to land a new job later but it should be relatively easy (compared to if you had no real world experience)

in your case I'll suggest exploring linkedin learning or udemy course to understand project management and then see if you can get some handson within your current organization - you should be able to if you have team management experience ideally PMP should take you all the way it has prerequisites as well - check those out once - PMP is industry standard but its also a bigger commitment than udemy courses scrum master is another one that you can explore it might make sense if you work within IT & software since scrum is mainly pushed into agile workflows

there are a couple on coursera such as digital product management or software product management ones that you can get started with - they will help with the skills but always try and do really good work during internships so you can have the opportunity to convert them into jobs!

Project management might not be the best thing then - imo if you are really interested in doing something that will help you in placements then see how much open source contributions you can make and if you can do some internship/work on a real world project thoda thoda karke hi sahi unless you are planning to go into project management I would advise not to waste time on this - rather maybe explore AI courses etc which match your current stream and allow you to have deeper knowledge and more hands on than other students - that will help you set yourself apart

while applying for MBA, I cannot say since a big part of selection happens through CAT. However this course will definitely bring you up to speed with quite a lot of stuff that you'd need as a manager as well as will also help you organize your life better tbh. Now, there might be some other course that might have a more direct impact on how well you do in MBA but it all depends on what you're planning to do in the future. For example, if you are taking up MBA in finance, I will suggest doing an excel course on udemy, if you're doing marketing then a brand management course via Swayam could also be a good choice. It's subjective and will depend on what you are planning to do.

you have worked in teams so you have some gist of it, before working as a project manager you would anyways need to learn about the whole thing. from what I learnt I don't think PMP requires much experience to learn, basic cheezein hai, aap start zaroor karo mere hisab se to - PMP is a career side where you have people from tons of field, designing to engineering...and in fact it helps to be from a different field

why udemy? I mean coursera is great. On udemy check pmp seminar by joseph philips or project management course by 365 careers. My suggestion would be to also check linkedin for the same, study well and then give the PMP exam - it's a global certification that is treated as a standard and would land you project managment interviews especially if you don't have great experience

this should definitely be a good start for a project management career - might not be enough to get a job in a fortune 100 company but at the very least you put professional level experience on your resume :)
NGOs usually tend to be a great way to get experience on the resume and ive seen multiple people do this approach successfuly with web development career :)

in your case I'll suggest exploring linkedin learning or udemy course to understand project management and then see if you can get some handson within your current organization - you should be able to if you have team management experience
ideally PMP should take you all the way it has prerequisites as well - check those out once - PMP is industry standard but its also a bigger commitment than udemy courses
scrum master is another one that you can explore it might make sense if you work within IT & software since scrum is mainly pushed into agile workflows

there are a couple on coursera such as digital product management or software product management ones that you can get started with - they will help with the skills but always try and do really good work during internships so you can have the opportunity to convert them into jobs!

Project management might not be the best thing then - imo if you are really interested in doing something that will help you in placements then see how much open source contributions you can make and if you can do some internship/work on a real world project thoda thoda karke hi sahi
unless you are planning to go into project management I would advise not to waste time on this - rather maybe explore AI courses etc which match your current stream and allow you to have deeper knowledge and more hands on than other students - that will help you set yourself apart

Hello I am currently taking a gap year to study for cat to pursue an mba in hr. Do you think this course will enhance my profile while applying for mba (since my resume is relatively empty) and later on as well in my professional career or would another course be more suited?
while applying for MBA, I cannot say since a big part of selection happens through CAT.
However this course will definitely bring you up to speed with quite a lot of stuff that you'd need as a manager as well as will also help you organize your life better tbh.
Now, there might be some other course that might have a more direct impact on how well you do in MBA but it all depends on what you're planning to do in the future.
For example, if you are taking up MBA in finance, I will suggest doing an excel course on udemy, if you're doing marketing then a brand management course via Swayam could also be a good choice.
It's subjective and will depend on what you are planning to do.

you have worked in teams so you have some gist of it, before working as a project manager you would anyways need to learn about the whole thing.
from what I learnt I don't think PMP requires much experience to learn, basic cheezein hai, aap start zaroor karo mere hisab se to - PMP is a career side where you have people from tons of field, designing to engineering...and in fact it helps to be from a different field

why udemy? I mean coursera is great. On udemy check pmp seminar by joseph philips or project management course by 365 careers.
My suggestion would be to also check linkedin for the same, study well and then give the PMP exam - it's a global certification that is treated as a standard and would land you project managment interviews especially if you don't have great experience
@@frwrdfast I have nearly 12 years of work ex on a Leadership role in a Hospitality industry but i think this will not count as a P.M experience. so you are suggesting to opt for PMP Prog offered by Google ? ( yes i am going to give worldwide PMP exam as well once i am fully prepared for the same )
1. it can count as PM experience if you have actual PM experience within the industry of leading projects etc.
2. I am suggesting to learn from wherever you can and then give PMP - PMP exam also requires minimum study hours/work hours. I found LinkedIn learning to be really good with project management related info
