Could be fun for a while, a year or so. But here to stay? None can achieve what SC Broodwar did and even dough SC2 kind of failed in comparison, it was still better then any other game. The point is... I hope one day we have some more games as good as lasting and as popular as SC.

Had it wishlisted since it was announced. Played it lastnight and loved it. Cant wait for the full game to come out. EA should let Slipgate Ironworks have at it with the C&C license. Feels like they have taken everything from C&C3 and generals and improved on it. Loving it so far.

Appreciate your pickup on the rotors. Coming from aviation in NZ myself a lot of attention was paid to flying units when playing. They certainly still need some tweaks compared to the ground units.
l saw some people complaining for this exact thing on the discord in the feedback section and l agree it needs at least a little more of zoom out... L strongly recomend going there and giving your feedback/concern to that, since their community manager said they are gonna prioritize the most liked suggestions for when the game launch.
Hoping this will do really well, both because this looks really good as a franchise, and it also might reinvigorate the genre enough for EA to give a C&C remastered 2
I have played all the demos except for the closed one and have really enjoyed it so far, though it would have been nice if developer had each of the 3 maps have their own biome/climate but there we are. I have high hopes for Tempest Rising and so far it's saying all the right things to me 😊
A good homage to C&C, played the tutorials last year, playing skirmish now. I'd say it still has some of those classic RTS issues, AI rushing and no real turtle style playthrough but, definitely has great potential.
I think the only thing that the game lacks is a bit of the personality and charisma that C&C has, with all units having unique callouts when you click on them or make them move. And aircrafts feel weak compared to the rest of the units
@sounds_wellingston thats why i said they feel weak. I am not saying they arent strong, but due how limited they are, they feel weak. C&C 3 aircrafts felt much more balanced and viable. But it might just be my lack of experience with Tempest Rising.
@@rafalst Here I will be a little frank, but so far in my opinion there are two main problems: the problem of the logic of flight and goal pursuit and balance. I suspect that the developers want to make aviation a really powerful unit, but one that is fair enough when faced with enemy air defenses. That is, in fact, to make aviation a real support and one of the tools for turning the tide on the battlefield.
Hi master Zade, good to see you with another upload :D Weather effect sticking to your camera is an old school, old as time RTS thing, probably done to optimize the game, and i'd personally take more frames over realistic weather. On the note about performance, man your rig is killer, wow, uh, i know its probably not easy for you but any chance you can get together a "low end" rig just to test certain rts game performance ? i think it would be a nice addition to your videos moving forward, think about a rig with a 2080 or a 3060 with 16GB of Ram and something like an 11th gen intel cpu or AMD equal to it. I hope you soften up to pvp honestly, not the "esportsy" version of it, no, just good old fashion, traditional pvp with some competitive drive, that is far, far more different than the people who play the same rts games on esports, those people are on a whole other level. Maybe signal boost this feedback from me to the Tempest Rising team, tell them units need more "blocks" that are compiling how they look to be team colored, blocky tank parts, unit shoulder pads, so forth. I wonder what happened with them switching publishers, lets hope no one rug pulles the team, good video nontheless :)
It's also set after a nuclear world war 3. The reason the east has more tempest then the west is because it started springing up in radioactive zones where the bombs fell, with the east having basically lost WW3.
I played 2 games and made my decision, you can probably tell what it was based on my YT PFP... My only issue is I would like to scroll with right click like you can in modern RTS games. Its a day one buy for me.
pretty hyped for this one after you showcasing this, though im worried about my PC performance as it is getting really up there in age. Downloading the demo as I write this to test performance. If it runs acceptably well this one will stay on my wishlist for sure!
I got a laptop with a i7 8750H, GTX 1060 and 16GB of DDR3 RAM, I cranked the preset to epic and I got 43-45fps and barely any frame drops with battles on the screen. It's very well optimised
I know the third faction isn’t exactly gonna be ready at launch but I can’t wait until THAT gets added in for us to play around with because I LOVE the asthetic their going for with the Vetti
More like C&C Tiberium Wars. It even plays exactly like that. GDI vs Nod vs Scrin. It's literally that. Had it been made by (fortunately NOT) EA, it would've been called C&C Tiberium 3 or something. (we don't talk about C&C 4 🤮)
I have to say that the game is good, even better than I expected. It really gave me a sense of true nostalgia. I don't play games as much anymore, but I’ll support the developer, and maybe we can show that there are still people who would like more RTS games. I definitely recommend it!

I tried the demo and there are two problems: - the game doesn't seem to properly support European keyboards such as AZERTY, QWERTZ, etc. I live in France (AZERTY) and it seems like I can't make or use control groups - the mouse smoothing/acceleration is pretty bad and there is no option to reduce or disable it Everything else seems really good, but those two problems really mess up the gameplay for me :/ These problems should be easy to fix, I really hope the devs deal with this because these are deal breakers for me :(

Well, there definitely ARE some unit animations that just look terrible. Like anything involving the sphere. Fire is debatable, but the fire effect is shorter than the attack range, and it could look a bit "better". Basically, it's small things like some unit animations that are just "lacking in frames".
Tried the game and i love what I'm trying. I just wish I could get a handle on the infantry, and the Dynasty. Infantry is way squishy (i miss the squads instead of single entity units). Dynasty is a bit more difficult to figure out for me.
I am one of the Bigest fans of the RTS genre and I've been waiting for Tempest Rising since it was announced however i will not play this demo... When you play the campaign they introduce units to you in the story, to see everything straight away will take away from that experience.

It just needs its own dose of charisma AND ambiance like C&C 3 has. Also, 90's geopol for factions is forgivable but today different countries or sections of the world should compose the factions. OR have a good campaign explaining it.
i only have problems with multi selecting buildings, feels very clunky, and i feel like light infantry should be faster ... but outside of that i like it
Have tried the demo. Having fun so far. The foundation of the game is solid, but many QoL functions need to be improved. Hopefully devs will address some of the more important issues at launch. Will I buy it when it launches? Absolutely, but as usual I will not pre-order. Just in case.
I think the controls are hot garbage at the moment. Many people would not even try Stormgate because of the lack of hotkey customization. I really hope they prioritize that... These "Modern" new RTS games that force you to use universal build tabs actually restrict any player who does not want to control the game in that way... Edit: Permanently broke my game by unbinding a key that it will not allow me to rebind and restore defaults will not fix... Edit: Retarteding my game twice fiixed it.
Tried it yesterday and felt disappointment. Vehicles melt like ice cream to infantry. Wasn't a fan of the population cap either, it made more sense in Starcraft than a CNC like game.
When it comes to Dynasty's harvester, I can see they copied Yuri's harvesters from RA2 Yuri's Revenge, which is genius! Slave harvesters were one annoyance from a plethora of what made Yuri really annoying to play against, but annoying in a fun way

Why can't i put infantry in neutral civilian buildings? Why is there a pop cap in a C&C based game? Why do choppers and other animations like the sphere look bad? Again no critic at all. Just saying: "EVERYTHING PERFECT HERE, BUY!" You got a sub less.
