Hey Marty, I've been listening to you for at least five or six years, thank you for the George Thorogood lesson, I'm not so good on the computer so I didn't even know how to subscribe LOL, I know that sounds bad but, I figured out how to click LOL ..I am from the older generation, it's where we have to ask a kid to figure it out for us

Yeah! Any time I refer to this song it's Hank Williams. Geo was probly in dydies when Hank swooned and howled it originally.
First time I heard it was hank. I love all of hanks stuff. Another troubled young man dead way too early. Sad.

You are very welcome!! Practice guitar, practice singing, practice playing, and repeat. The more you play the better you will get. and also when you are ready, play in front of people, you will get addicted to the reactions and want to continue. I was going to say the same thing. This is a Hank Sr song. George T was paying tribute to Hank! 1947
love the fact that few know that 'old' Hank wrote and played it first.
The George T. version is good, but Hank Williams sung it better :)
Definitely helps to give credit to Hank Williams Senior as the originator. This happens with many black artists also in blues, people think some of the songs The Rolling Stones have done are from them when they are really a cover from blues artists. Eric Clapton covered Little Walters "You know it ain't right" but many people would think it's an Eric Clapton song.
We should note that George plays the song in G.
