Cannibal Corpse isn't my cup of tea musically, but I absolutely love George Fisher as a person. He's the demonic roar behind a gorey, gruesome band... and yet in every interview he's as bubbly as a labrador puppy. My favorite moment is 7:42 when George says he "put a few [frogs] on hooks," growing up, and, seeing the interviewer's horrified reaction, clarifies that he meant for fishing, clearly worried that the guy would think he killed frogs for fun as a kid.
I was yelled at by Corpsegrinder during a show once. It’s not that uncommon but I honestly I was honored.
Shit what happened?
@@alexandero9936 I yelled out a song request. I can’t remember what I wanted to hear but he told me to shut the f up, they weren’t gonna play it and the crowd got a good laugh out of it haha. It was all in good fun. Then I proceeded to get destroyed in the pit 🤘

I love how he is a brutal death metal vocalist, but in real life he's like that one cool dad that lets you stay up and watch horror movies with him as he talks about the stories from when he was your age
I've never listened to CC and I'm not really aware of their music or their genre even though I'm a big music fan with a wide range in taste. Having said that, I genuinely enjoyed this interview. It's crazy how when were were kids, these type of bands seem so scary and the last things your parents would like you to listen to, but many of them are composed by genuinly good people with integrity. My hat off to this good artist for being authentic and displaying integrity.
Him and Tom Araya from Slayer are in these dark bands making the musical equivalent of horror movies and labeled as Satanic. But this guy collects & donates toys & I've never seen Tom Araya not smiling aside from while he's performing. & they're both suoer friendly.
Nowadays it turns out its the pop stars that are the Satanists doing occult shit & having parties that you have to sign a non disclosure agreement to attend.
The metal bands were singing more about corrupt government, greedy politicians and other things that are closer to the devil in disguise.
Maybe that's why politicians tried to censor or label evil back in the 80s & 90s because they were exposing them & teaching kids about other types of evil demons and it reminded them of that Jesus fella who preached about false prophets and corrupt governments
Corey Taylor: who are you?
George Fisher: I'm you but stronger
Since Corpsegrinder uses growls and screams while Corey uses shouts and clean vocals this comparison is bad and you should feel bad.

Extreme metal guys are always the nicest mofos on the planet.
Marco Sánchez And it's the ones that sing about love and friendship that are professional cunts. The irony.
It always throws me off because I expect their music to be some sort of embodiment of their actual emotions. So to hear him say that he never had anyone in mind when writing lyrics about murder and all that kind of takes away a little bit of it for me.
I listen to music like this because I have those emotions and I definitely get those thoughts. There's times when I get so angry that I will start envisioning how I would brutally torture or murder someone, and when I was younger before I spent some time in a mental hospital I was very violent and quick to fight. Listening to music like this helps calm me down ironically. I'll just turn some heavy shit on in the car on my way to work and yell, scream, or growl as much of the anger and hatred I have for life and people out to hold me over for the day, help me not just grab someone's head and start bashing it into a table or something.
I think it's very similar to the feeling you get after a very good workout when you feel absolutely exhausted and your entire body is sore. You walk away from that and you feel a little better about everything around you, I feel like I worked some frustration out of my system so I can focus more on the better things in life.
Seriously. Frank from Suffocation and Alex from Cannibal Corpse are two of the nicest people I've ever met.
Leonel Cantú de Llano
Most of these guys, whether consciously or not, use their music to get out all the negative shit from their minds. It's a catharsis. Perhaps the ones that sing about love and friendship are doing the same about positive things, hence why they are cunts.
