    I bet if they disguised this as a master lock you would've been totally lost. It actually sounds like a clever way to throw off anyone wanting to get in

    Good news is by the time someone figured out how to pick this lock, I've already had them on an hd camera that has notified me of motion and called the cops

    What I'm hearing is this lock was more than a half hour challenge for you.
    Which in my book means noone is getting past.
    The other locksmiths in my area don't bother on stuff like this.

    Great video!! Just an interesting fact: The Mul-T-Lock keyways have 4 characters: 3 digits, and 1 letter. The first digit of the keyway code determines the position of the floating pin, the next two digits state the keyway, and the last character determines the colour of the floating pin, or if there is at all. (I.e.: A 206S key has the floating pin in the second position, has the 06 keyway, and a silver floating pin :D.) Since the first half of the 206 keyway is flat and without any warding, a 006 key will fit into a 206 lock just fine, but a 206 key will not fit into a 006 lock :D Thanks again for sharing

    The interactive pin is built into the plug. That’s the difference between Interactive and classic. On interactive the second pin is a rotating constant. Other than that both use the same pins.

      The pick I'm using in this video is from SpooXe... and I got it in trade. It's a german company, but their e-store has an English option.

    I have a 236G keyway and was told it is an interactive plus cylinder, but when I search for anything 236G online it appears to be the original interactive model. How do I know if the cylinder I have is an interactive plus? What are the cylinder differences between interactive and interactive plus?

    For reference, all you’ve got to do, is check on the opposite surface of the keyway, for the sprung nipple.
    What can a picker do if no binders are present? I’ve had an E11 closed shackle, in my naughty bucket, since 2012, not one pin set ever, tried everything. I have successfully picked many mlt’s, this one has taken over a 1000 hrs from me, with zero to show from it. I believe I’m going to dissolve it in acid, to bring this nightmare to an end.

    Awesome pick,
    So the UL rating is more based off of the drill protection?
    Guessing that is because the method of entry preferred by thieves is to drill a Mul T Lock?

    • @lockmanmd8738
      @lockmanmd8738 7 років тому +2

      Yes, Mul-T-Locks with the UL rating have better protection against drilling than the standard cylinders

    • @lockpickinglawyer
      @lockpickinglawyer  7 років тому +3

      Thanks. Boaz is correct... the UL rating FOR MTL's is based on drill protection because all of their product already meet the other requirements.

    • @Steel-Pinnings
      @Steel-Pinnings 7 років тому +1

      LockPickingLawyer I was really was only askingif the only variations to the UL has only the little steel inserts or ball bearing above the pin stack.
      Really makes them like Master Lock more and more. I had a much higher standard for (Underwriters Laboratory)
      But the only difference maker is drill protection then I might consider a different lock onnmy front doors. Lol... I understand that LPL or pickers of that caliber
      will not be breaking into my house. But not every thief has or uses a drill.
      Thanks for the info.
      My thoughts on it mean nothing, keep up the good work.

    Hi, I’m in the process of buying a home and I was wondering if you have any recommendations on deadbolts. I was looking at the Mul-T-Lock Interactive+ Cronus (Black Tie Edition) High Security Grade 2 Single Cylinder Dead-Bolt w/Thumb Turn. What do you think. Thanks for your time. Love your videos!!

    • @doubleb222able
      @doubleb222able 2 роки тому +2

      Why? Do you think someone is going to try to pick your lock? Guy, this isn't the movies and dudes are sitting around with their master plan. Maybe 1% of thieves will even attempt to pick a lock, and that's a drastically high estimate. The rest will take crowbar to your door or a drill to your lock. High security locks give a very false sense of security

      These locks have a kill key which makes the existing key useless.

    • @schmiesus
      @schmiesus 3 роки тому

      They also have keys depending on your access level.
      Like manager key vs employee key. Employee key can only open certain locks and the manager key that can open all of them.

    Well damn, was thinking about a MulT lock as it’s advertised as pick proof but then he opens it in no time what’s the point of spending that much money on a lock if it can be opened like that

      Have to take into consideration the most likely thieves we come across aren't this skilled. Unless it's a targeted attack they'll move on to easier prey. Also what lock has he not breeze through?😂

    huh?? I just spent everything i can afford on a mul t lock deadbolt cause it was supposed to be unpick-able? iMan i'm never leaving the house again. You are a master. Hats off to ya, please tell me that the average little punk thieves cant do that.

    • @jontroncoso4360

      I just did the same. But honestly, if somebody has the specialized picks and knowledge to pick these, odds are they've got a good-paying security job, or they're a high-end jewel-thief. Either way, they're probably not going to be trying to get into some random house. At least, that's what I'm telling myself.

    Whats the point of having any lock on your door? Mlti locks aren't cheap and the installation isnt cheap either. These shows of this guy picking open every lock on the market is virtually depressing. The best part of picking multi lock is its time consuming and by the time you get it opened you'll probably get caught & arrested. I believe in the 2nd amendment 100%.
