Hey all, just wanted to let you know that I tried the 5.0 battery in this and it fits great
thank you jesus! because most of my batteries are the 5.0AH from dewalt
There is a longer dust chute that you can get from DeWalt that will fit all current battery's. I think it's mentioned in the manual.
Tool Review Zone Theres an extension to allow the use of a 6ah but it’s less balanced
Just turn the dust chute arround, then you can fit the flexvolt batteries
Doesnt it take hook and loop sandpaper?
The eu version does
Just chanced upon your site for the first time. Nice to watch and hear operation instructions and review, with good camera angles and clear sound, WITHOUT a stand-up comic routine/vaudeville act. Subbed.
Haha, thanks Poor ans welcome to the channel!!!
Hi TRZ,
Just wanted to give you an update on this dewalt cordless palm sander.
I bought my this weekend and man this thing is Awsome!
Again, thanks for this video.
Awesome brother, glad it working out for you Buddy 👊👊👊
Very insightful, professional and sweet review. Thank You!
Hey I’ve just ordered the cordless orbital however this is definitely going to be the next one I get it sounds so quiet when you demonstrated that thank you so much excellent video that sign looks amazing too shame it didn’t work out fully
Great video trz I can't get enough of DeWALT tools!
Great video! I’m planing on trying this sander. I already have the orbital one and really like it but it would be nice to have a more delicate one.
I prefer using the 1.5ah and 2ah batteries on the orbital because they are lighter and still produce enough power.
Just got this sander for $100 and it comes with a 2ah battery and a charger from Home Depot. And to think I was about to drop $200 at Lowe’s for an orbital. Can’t wait for it to come
Great video. I didn’t know how to use it and Boom… 5 minutes after I’m an expert. Thank you, best tutorial in a long time
Haha, awesome. Thanks for the comment Rodrigo 👊
Love it! Got the corded version, but this one's on my list! Thanks TRZ!
Thanks for the feedback Grand! Let me know if you get it and how you like it 👊
Bought it and used it to tidy up scarf joints on a recent crown project. I used the lower speed levels with 150 grit Diablo sanding sheets and the tool worked flawlessly. Great results! Thanks, again, for your review.
Nice. Been waiting for this one.
Thanks. Useful review.
Great review and just bought one. Agree with everything you’ve said.
Female putting this together I found this very informative, and the directions were great. Just fixing to use it now. Mine does not seem to have a speed button and I have a cord more to be revealed.
Awesome video thank you
Very nicely done my Friend !!! Looks great !! Wish I could afford one. Especially a cordless one. As a DIYer, having the corded version it's hard to justify the expense. That being said, it doesn't mean I want it any less.😁😍😀Thanks again Clint for sharing your thoughts and videos, Rodney
Thanks Rodney, really appreciate the comment my friend. And yeah, I know exactly what you mean about wanting but not really "needing."
I just ordered the corded version. Most people with older shop vac's will need 2 adapters. the DMV 9000 and the DMV 9190 which totals up to almost the cost of the sander itself. Maybe reason for a whole video of it's own. The whole adapter thing is quite confusing and if I had known I probably would have thought twice.
Can you make review on tool belts too like the diamondback tool belts denali 2.0 and the atlas 46 padded tool belt. Thanks
Turn the dust collector attachment end over and you can use the bigger batteries.
Hi. Can used with 18V Dewalt batterues ?
Thank you.
I have the Milwaukee orbital sander and I was thinking about buying the Milwaukee sander for that reason I'm just waiting for Milwaukee to come out with a m-18 belt sander I'm surprised they haven't came out with one yet
Haha I know you have been waiting for that now for a while. Hopefully this year they will release one
@@ToolReviewZone I ended up purchasing the rigid corded belt sander because I needed it bad 4 doors now that I'm into flipping houses one of the major things is taking out the old doors and replacing with solid 6 panel doors and sometimes it's not enough to cut with a saw so belts sander would work perfect
@@josephmalinowski6817 I wanted to get that but have been using the ryobi. I don't really use them enough to pay the extra $$$
@@ToolReviewZone yeah but that's smart spend the money on the tools you need the most so it makes your job that much easier to make extra money like I do a lot of molding so what with the DeWalt 12in dual bevel compound slider with the rolling stand and also the Dewalt table saw because I need to trim out the doors I'm doing hardwood floor or ceramic flooring but back in the day my father he didn't stick with one brand because everything was courted he bought the best of each brand then later on in his career Makita and DeWalt we're basically the first to go battery operated and basically still needed the key to tighten the bit or hold the end with your hand to tighten down tool bits
@@josephmalinowski6817 agree 100% bro. And yeah it was definitely more a want than need
Will this fit into a 90° corner ? or will the battery hold it out of the corner?
Will this work on outside window wood trim with 200 grit paper ?
Wish Milwaukee had one of these sheet sanders but all they have is the orbital nice to see dewalt has the orbital as well as the square sheet sander neither company has a cordless mouse sander though
Maybe NPS we will see something bro?
@@ToolReviewZone I doubt it bro the Milwaukee m18 orbital sander I have is a brushed tool they havent came out with a new sander since the brushed model in 2018
@@AntonioClaudioMichael yeah but I think they are trying to update all of their tools, especially the brushed. Fingers crossed
check out the bosch sander, the bosch gss 18v-10 the dust collection is alot better and you have different pads you can attach, like the delta pad.
But dont use it professional,
It wont last, after a few months the sander becomes so loud you go deaf, tried 2 both the same outcome
So jealous does the 5amp battery work on it.
Just checked and fits perfectly
Yo TRZ!! Sweet sander!!
Thanks FAMOUS AMOS!
Got this, on the plus, it's cheap and relatively low vibration, BUT dust control is terrible (no seal on the connection, so everything blows out - only works with vac. Also, the sole is extremely soft, so sanding flat is no buneo (feels like mattress foam)
Hi TRZ,
Wow, this is awsome. I have the DeWalt cordless orbital and i like it over the milwaukee cordless model. Now this palm sander is awesome. Man i have to say milwaukee drop the ball on these two tools. They need to make a brushless orbital with a better dust collection and make a brushless palm sander. Maybe soon.
Not to rush, but a belt sander would be very nice.
Got to go and purchase this dewalt cordless palm sander soon.
Thanks for this video update.
Thanks for the awesome comment Michael. I haven't tried the Milwaukee Sanders, but I really do love the Dewalts. I use the orbital constantly and never let me down bro
@@ToolReviewZone
Same here, the DeWalt cordless orbital sander hasn't let me down.
Can't fit a flexvolt... But i want it!
Would you still recommend a year later? Also any idea on run times?
Heck yeah....love it!!!
I found this yesterday on sale at the Depot for $99 and was like Holy Sheet! So I bought it. Total impulse buy....sigh.
Lol, guy find though 👊
What is the part # for the sheet punch?
I just now pored over the user's manual and didn't see a parts list, except for an illustration showing each part/feature on the unit: The "Paper punch" is labeled "11" in Figure A on p. 1, for what that's worth. It says on the bottom of the page to call 1-800-433-9258 for questions.
I have the corded version and it let's go of the paper all the time.
Wow really. Haven't used the corded, but does it have two holders like this or just one?
@@ToolReviewZone it is out in my garage but, I don't know to be honest I don't use it very often.
Will it accept a 5ah battery ?
Just checked and fits great
How much use can you get out of it before it dies
I LIKE THE SANDER, BUT THAT DUST CHUTE GETS IN THE WAY WHEN A LARGE BATTERY IS INSTALLED.
H2H with Ridgid Octane!
TOOL DUEL!
How does this compare to a belt sander?
A belt sander is prone to chew out. This is slower, but much safer
Can we use on wall?
Yep
@@ToolReviewZone thanks for replying.
rip kobe
Yeah that sucks bro. What a shame
See
Lowest setting is lower.. Off
Haha technically you are correct
Another cordless tool that i do not need.... When will DeWalt get off their ass and come out with the cordless 23 gauge nailer?????
