In this video, we cover the CORE bolt on modifications you can make on your 370Z or G37 to maximize horsepower. This has been proven for myself (AdminTuning) thousands of times on both UpRev and ECUTEK, in all parts of the country - but this video breaks down individual steps on actually getting those gains, along with some information on the tuning strategy and map structure.
The test car we used already had Z1 headers, test pipes, and Motordyne catback. So we did a baseline power run, AdminTuning intake swap, injector & fuel pump install, and dyno tune on 93 octane and E85 to illustrate the gains and get excellent final numbers on a hot day.

Rich Polzin This comment deserves more recognition. I appreciate that Moncef squeezes every pony and lb ft of torque out the vq’s but the owners are so competitive about a 5, 10, 15, 20 hp difference

I used to own a 2005 g35x and now I am a proud owner of a 2013 G37S sedan and there's definitely a big difference in power!

Wow this car made some big numbers in that Texas heat. 314whp is no joke with only exhaust and untuned. Would really be interested to see the stock baseline as this car look to have picked up 30whp from just the exhaust mods...and don't forget this is an Auto.
Pretty sure he said it was tuned, those were just baseline numbers he was getting before throwing any more parts on the car.

Have you ever heard of ported manifold give more issues like unevenly ported creates rpm fluctuations or possibly less numbers especially torque? Recently a few people are claiming that if u run HR ported manifolds on VHR u get better numbers than VHR ported manifolds... seems like a bunch of BS to me with that cross swap

3" intakes and retuning has net us 5-8whpup top and 10-12whp in the midrange/top end.

Hey I have a 2015 qx50 - 3.7 I’m debating if the admin intakes will fit on my model if not I have some drop ins and probably add silicone intake to the stock air box & thinking of adding some test pipes since I have a custom catback just x pipe 2 vibrant res and muff delete 2.5 pipe all the way to the back & could I still see gains from either doing cai or basically keeping the stock with the added test pipes with my setup ? Thanks !

What does a tuning like that cost....with the 4 different tunes. I have q70 with a 3.7. I only have the mishimoto intake pipes with drop in kn, and a stillen full catback. Thank you....love watching the videos.

It’s nice to see solid gains from a couple bolt ons with stock tune handling it. Would be nice to see numbers with intakes before tune tho for more clear objective data. It’s hard to determine which element lead to greater gains-intakes or tune. Was it 5% intakes 95% tune or vice versa?
Speed Culture Studios doesn’t really work like that since the intakes require a tune. We have two videos on this page of stock airboxes with a tune vs Admin intakes with a tune you can look at.

@@admintuning it still be great if you did videos on them. a lot of people run intakes or air pod without a tune. i want to know the difference it makes tuned vs non tuned intakes. also in CA the intakes need to be CA approved and those dont "require" a tune since its illegal to tune your ecu

For a 2011 g37 coupe base, automatic, what are "safe" mods that I do without risking the automatic transmission? You guys are the pros, let me know how far I can go and not wreck the car.
I know your a busy man, but if you have time can you please let me know about the g37x coupes. I have one and ive raced a bolt on G37 coupe with bolt-ons and top end i beat it. Ive been told the X is bad at top end. Is the X a all around better car to have because you can have that top end power and then the awd lower end rips from the dig??

Pretty sure its a stock ecu rather that a stand alone ecu.

I made 305 whp with just axle back top speed exhaust and z1 test pipes stock air boxes 29 whp gain not bad
305whp is pretty good. That axleback flows about the same as stock.

What’s the purpose of bigger fuel pump and injectors? How do they play a role in increasing hp? I understand what the CAI’s, headers and cat back does with a tune but not the other two mentioned above. Great video!

Yes - the only thing different is I would suggest doing ISR longtubes instead.

@@jorgelarios5601 And the Q50 still is powered by the G37's328-hp 3.7L VQ, a V-6 that hauls butt, although a 3,500-rpm torque peak would be preferable to the current 5,200 rpm. ... TheQ50 also is rated 3 mpg (1.3 km/L) better on the highway than the '13 G37

I’ve never seen it done on an auto and I didn’t have the option to get it myself so I don’t think you can
No bc your auto. When your in first gear u cant stop the torque converter from spinning like a manual can.

I've been watching a bunch of your videos recently and I'm new to these motors.. Do you see much difference in gains of long tube headers vs shortys? At what point would you recommend modifying the fuel system on a NA motor and to what level, assuming E85 is preferred.
Also, I've followed the LS motors for awhile and they run 1 3/4 or 2" headers when running boosted. What's your opinion on the go to exhaust if I plan to run a boosted 370 and possibly a built motor.

- Z1 shorty headers and PPE longtube headers usually make very similar peak power & peak torque. It depends on the brand more than the runner length.
- for E85 you’d have to upgrade the injectors & pump immediately on an NA application.
- my single turbo 370Z with stock headers makes over 800whp. They are not really a restriction at that power level.
- if you want to turbo your car you would need to decide what turbo kit to use before anything else since that will dictate a lot of your exhaust configuration.
