Thanks for any ideas and feedback.
Probably late, but incase anyone else is wondering, I believe stock internals can take up to 500. To be safe, if you’re planning on going over 450 then I would recommend new cams and such

The G37 tranny is a little more durable than the 370z despite being 90% identical in most ways, there's a few things about it which make it a tad more robust. That being said, nether one of these is designed for 600hp at the wheels and will break without atleast a tranny cooler and a billet flexplate.
Definitely helpful! I have a G37x Sedan I wanted the Stillen kit for, so this helps outline some of the supporting mods I'll be budgeting for. How is it as a daily w/ the 7spd at that power?
Check out the topgunz rotrex kit. Probably the best air to air setup on the market currently. The stillen kit is limited by the inferior intake manifold and the supplied blower.
I have two VQ37VHR powered cars, both with internally stock engines, this one is making just over 600whp, the other makes 650whp, the 650whp one is my daily driver. Temperature management and good driving habits are key, but this is nothing new for us.
@Bo Selecta! fuel quality is also a big deal. This car only makes 516whp on pump fuel 93 octane (98RON in the UK) and I left it there for safety reasons. E85 improves the safety margin greatly.
Stock trans how reliable is that? I have a 2011 g37x sedan and I wanna turbo or supercharge it but a build trans just makes it that much more expensive
it's reliable enough with a tranny cooler and a billet flexplate. without them though it's only a matter of time before it breaks, all depends on how much you're stomping on it. baby it most of the time at the red lights and you may very well get 50k miles out of it, stomp on it all the time launching the thing and racing it and it'll break on you in less than 10k miles.

Whats the max safe HP for the 7AT in the 370z ? And what is the best value for money in terms of good performance , reliability , and been a good daily, turbo or supercharger ?
I believe the engine is the first weak point on this car. If you don't plan on doing a full engine build you don't have to worry much about the trans aside from a clutch/flywheel kit, CSC delete, some better fluid, and possibly a trans cooler.
@@GR1MR34PER33 On the manual transmission yes i won’t worry, But the 7AT is not capable of handling a lot of power like the manual that’s why i wanted to know the max safe HP you can go for on the 7AT. Thanks.
If the torque is controlled responsibly, the engine can hold up to about 640whp for awhile. As for the 5speed auto transmission, we have only pushed those to around 550whp in stock form. The flexplate is the weak point.
So I did this exact build with everything except the headers and even with a full tank of E85 fuel I was only getting 490hp at the wheels. What am I missing here? Are you guys absolutely sure you didn't change the belt out on the stillen supercharger?
@@admintuning A2A, but I think I realized what I missed now, I also didn't put the bigger blower on it. I guess the headers and blower are what's giving you 100 more hp over my build. either that or somehow I'm getting more drivetrain loses.

What’s your tire setup ?
What can stock internals handle? Also what about the stock 5 speed AT?
If the torque is controlled responsibly, the engine can hold up to about 640whp for awhile. As for the 5speed auto transmission, we have only pushed those to around 550whp in stock form. The flexplate is the weak point.
@@admintuning so if you stay @ low 500 you should be good? Or it’s a matter of time before she goes? Do you know any tranny shops that does the G?
So all this with the tune comes out to about $10K? Ecutek?
Something like that,
Isn't anything over 450 torque unsafe for the tranny? Also does that number go down with an awd drivetrain
The Dyno runs should be SAE corrected. It be nice to see a supercharger verses turbo torque curve.
All the numbers in this video are with SAE correction.
So I did this exact build with everything except the headers and even with a full tank of E85 fuel I was only getting 490hp at the wheels. What am I missing here? Are you guys absolutely sure you didn't change the belt out on the stillen supercharger?
was your kit a water to air kit or air to air kit? feel free to send me an email so I can assist further. moncef.faik@gmail.com.
@@admintuning A2A, but I think I realized what I missed now, I also didn't put the bigger blower on it.
I guess the headers and blower are what's giving you 100 more hp over my build.
either that or somehow I'm getting more drivetrain loses.
I have tuned hundreds of a2a cars with stock headers and smaller SCi and Si units and they still make over 600 on E85.
@@admintuning I don't know then. Maybe I'll talk to you about it email in a week or so.
Thanks for the offer.
@@admintuning BTW, not knocking the setup, it's far better than my water to air system with that annoyingly loud pump.
It does make 90 to 100hp more than I was getting with that too, it's just not as much as I had hoped for dropping an additional 10gs to get this done, that's all.
