- In this video we talk about the Stillen supercharger kit on the Nissan 370Z & Infiniti G37 models. This kit is slightly misunderstood due to it being rather underpowered out of the box. I review a build on my personal car with a Stillen supercharger kit with some minor upgrades, including the SOHO Motorsports air to air intercooler system, which improves the performance and consistency, and reliability of this supercharger kit dramatically.
This is an automatic G37 with a stock unopened engine & transmission. This video also discusses some important supporting mods for a boosted car, much like my turbo 370Z, as well as critical information about weather conditions, and proper intercooler design.

Just wanted to know what parts did you have on the car in total and how much did the parts cost and how much is tuning at your shop. this willl cost between 6k-13k and tuning is about 800-1000
For labor and a Vortech supercharger kit I’m looking at $7300.. they said it’s going to bump me up to approximately 412 hp 8lbs of boost (which is just fine with me ) my daily driver.

Definitely helpful! I have a G37x Sedan I wanted the Stillen kit for, so this helps outline some of the supporting mods I'll be budgeting for. How is it as a daily w/ the 7spd at that power?
Check out the topgunz rotrex kit. Probably the best air to air setup on the market currently. The stillen kit is limited by the inferior intake manifold and the supplied blower.
How much hp can a stock 370z automatic handle? I heard that the gear box doesn't handle power if it's auto
My friend just threw a rod on a 2007 G 37 and we are contemplating supercharging and we have access to machining and 4,000 dollars for the complete build .
My hope here is for some suggestions for us and or ideas for us and or options for us to get power to the wheel's of our G37

Can these transmissions really handle that much power?
from what I’ve heard the manual transmissions can handle the power.
The autos are only good to about 400 wtq from my understanding, which is why SOHO's kit (I guess moreso their tune) is kept low-ish on torque (390). The stock engine should be able to handle up to around 600 from all the research I have seen.
Transmissions will usually last longer than the power will on the stock motor. (Auto or manual) with HP sky is the limit. With torque you don't want to go over 600ft lbs
@@DoubleChargednot that 7at.. it is not rated for much torque like they said (400wtq). That transmission even blow on stock power. Manual transmission can handle abuse, ive seen some at 800-900hp completely stock 6 speed. The vr30 7 speed can handle much more power and torque than the vhr trans
How long will the 7AT hold up with this power levels?
stock tranny and engine without upgraded internals can actually hold 600whp

Stock trans how reliable is that? I have a 2011 g37x sedan and I wanna turbo or supercharge it but a build trans just makes it that much more expensive

Good day Admin Question how much would you charge to install a supercharger and tune on my 2008 G37 coupe with 70,000 miles on it?
So I’m deciding between getting a 2012 Audi S5 and doing some tuning or maybe supercharging my 2008 G37 S 6MT. Would I need to have the engine rebuilt before adding the Stillen Kit on a 135,000 mile motor? Also would going with a full 3” dual exhaust do anything for that setup torque wise? Thanks for any ideas and feedback.
Probably late, but incase anyone else is wondering, I believe stock internals can take up to 500. To be safe, if you’re planning on going over 450 then I would recommend new cams and such

@AdminTuning When are you coming to NY/NJ? My g37 was tuned on UPREV and the throttle response is laggy and hangs when shifting or rev matching. Made 342/275 STD and feel like they left a lot on the table. Would like to show you the graph and see if you can re tune.

I have two VQ37VHR powered cars, both with internally stock engines, this one is making just over 600whp, the other makes 650whp, the 650whp one is my daily driver. Temperature management and good driving habits are key, but this is nothing new for us.
@Bo Selecta! fuel quality is also a big deal. This car only makes 516whp on pump fuel 93 octane (98RON in the UK) and I left it there for safety reasons. E85 improves the safety margin greatly.

great video moncef. i’m purchasing a soho sc kit with the a2a pretty soon, i’m planning on keeping it on 91 pump but my main question was in terms of a manual transmission. i’m currently running a stage 3 action clutch but i’m almost positive it won’t handle the power or torque. what’s your advice?

The Dyno runs should be SAE corrected. It be nice to see a supercharger verses turbo torque curve.
All the numbers in this video are with SAE correction.
Do you recommend I get a trans cooler and oil cooler? I have a 2012 g37x sedan so obv has the 7AT. I’m supercharging with Topgunz ACE kit very soon and running flex fuel. I emailed you about a remote tune a few months and never heard back. Should I reach out again?

Whats the max safe HP for the 7AT in the 370z ? And what is the best value for money in terms of good performance , reliability , and been a good daily, turbo or supercharger ?
I believe the engine is the first weak point on this car. If you don't plan on doing a full engine build you don't have to worry much about the trans aside from a clutch/flywheel kit, CSC delete, some better fluid, and possibly a trans cooler.
@@GR1MR34PER33 On the manual transmission yes i won’t worry, But the 7AT is not capable of handling a lot of power like the manual that’s why i wanted to know the max safe HP you can go for on the 7AT.

Is it me or is that blowoff valve partially open cruising at 2 1/2 to 3 grand? If so, is there a way to minimize that hiss even more?
shaolin224 that’s how the BOV is supposed to work on a supercharged car. Only way to minimize the noise is to recirculate it.

lol, not sure what you think you are hearing, but I have been running this amount of timing on this exact motor/supercharger kit since this video was posted. I just dyno'd it again last week and it made 620whp so over 3 years of longevity at this power level and daily driven.

I'm looking at doing forced induction with my manual 370z, and I'd love some guidance as to how to go about it. It's a daily driver and I don't wanna totally break the bank either. I currently have LTH and CBE from Fast Intentions, Stillen Gen 3 Intake, and plenum+ported intake manifold from Z1MotorSports. Currently tuned with UpRev (I have a local master tuner who uses them) for 93 octane. Any recommendations? Turbo, TT or Supercharged? I'm a healthcare worker in FL, so I've been working all year . . . all the money I would normally spend on recreation+restaurants+etc has essentially gone into my car, lol. Any advice would really be appreciated.

After these two mods, around 10k + labor, you are at ~580rwhp pushing 12psi. This is what should be in the vid(correct if im wrong). If you do want a turbo expect to replace ur tranny later to a manual one

The VR30 transmission is a great upgrade, I have a few clients running it as well. My personal car now has an IPT trans with a billet flexplate.

This may be a really dumb question, but does the front bumper not fit on with the SOHO kit? Everyone I've seen that has it installed has the front bumper pulled off.
It actually fits fine, but we need to fix the foglight wiring on this car still so it stayed off for the video.

@@SickeningGojo stock crash bar wouldn't fit, due to intercooler placement, but we offer the bash bar as an option for people who want something there. We make them different for Q50/G37/370Z to make sure bumpers will fit over the kit.

The flexplate actually broke first, but I had changed the flexplate and added the IPT transmission later.

Any upgrades to the transmission to handle the extra power?
The stock transmission held this power fine for a short while. The flexplate was the first thing to go, and it did take out the torque converter with it. I replaced it with a FI billet flexplate, IPT converter & IPT transmission.
