    As a child I always had caries at every dental visit. I grew into a teenager and began using Trident with Xylitol. The next dental visit I had 0 caries. The dentist asked me what had changed and I told him I was using Trident gum to prevent bad breath but avoided the gums with sugar. He told me about Xylitol and how it prevented caries, after that I always had a small piece of Trident in my mouth, when I was awake, after that and the caries problems had all but disappeared. Then sometime in the 80's or 90's the taste of Trident changed to sickeningly sweet. I looked on all the packages of sugarless gums and Xylitol was still there but now also had every sugarless ingredient ever created. Mannitol, maltitol, saccharin, aspartame etc. These added ingredients are not only sickeningly sweet but they also trigger IBS, nausea, diarrhea and leave bad aftertastes in my mouth. Needless to say, but I had to stop using Trident. Now my teeth are rotting again.
    I so wish Trident only used Xylitol again.

      All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Due to our sin. Hell is the punishment
      .“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
      ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
      but Jesus who is God. Came down to earth as a man lived a perfect life never sinned people got jealous of him got him convicted on false charges then he died buried and resurrected
      Remember how I said our sin is why we can’t go to heaven? The only thing that can wash away your sins in the blood of Jesus
      “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” Roman’s 5:8-9 KJV
      So to get saved is super easy
      “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
      ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬
      Salvation is a free gift by faith alone. You can’t earn it by going to church, getting water baptized, or by any good thing you do.
      “For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.”
      2 Corinthians‬ ‭7‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬
      Then you just have to feel guilty and sorry for being a sinner and repent for being a sinner. Do you feel guilty for being a sinner? If you do then there’s just one final step.
      “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬
      Pretty much all you have to do is tell God out loud with your mouth that you believe the gospel. That’s it super simple. You MUST mean it from your heart to work.
      You can pray something like this
      “dear God i repent as a sinner. i believe jesus is God, who died, buried, and ressurected, so his blood can wash away my sins. so i only trust in the blood alone to save me not my good works. Save me from hell in jesus name i pray amen”
      If you meant it your saved!

    I’ve been taking xylitol mints several times a day now for several months and I’ve noticed a big different which is incredible. My front teeth were going translucent - well now they are almost fully back to solid glossy white! It seems the rest of my teeth look healthy and white. And I think my gums are getting better. Last dental clean I was told they look really clean and healthy. Prior to that I was getting told I had so many issues despite eating incredibly clean diet for years and being so healthy conscious.
    The whole concept we can actually remineralise our teeth is exactly what I needed to believe - it’s real and it’s easy!

    The bad bacteria strephtococal mutant that cause caries cannot digest xylitol, so by taking xylitol you are starving this bad bacteria and it will die... Decay can be stopped and in some cases repaired as the mineralisation will strengthen the tooth... Dr Ellie explains this in her videos

      Incorrect, it is worse for strep mutant than “xylitol not being food” as it could simply feed on whatever else you are eating.
      Xylitol kills strep mutant because it has 5 molecules of carbons instead of 6 which makes strep mutant repeatedly spend energy absorbing it without being able to generate energy from it, in a loop until it runs out of energy and dies.
      Eat xylitol => eject => eat again the same molecule => eject, repeated until it dies of exhaustion (energy insufficiency)

    I picked up the use of Xylitol from Dr Ellie Phillips but did not want to use the mouthwashes she recommends because of the chemicals. Also I'm in the UK and some of the products are not available in the UK. I use ecodenta toothpaste has Xylitol in it from Holland & Barratt which is really pricey for a toothpaste! £7. However, as I'd built up a voucher of £15 I was able to reduce that down when I ordered 9 of them!
    What I do is have Spry Gum at bedtime containing Xylitol. During the day I add ground down Xylitol crystals and mix it into the toothpaste which contains only 25% of the sugar. I brush with a very soft brush making sure I don't scrape the tooth enamel. I also swish either with salt or Xylitol. Also massaging the gums helps for minor receding gums. I've noticed my teeth look stronger/remineralised and whiter. I'm not looking for whiter than white teeth as this is unrealistic! So far so good. But bateria definitely can be a major problem for oral health and Xylitol is a miracle solution!

      Hey friend I just heard of Dr Ellie's protocol and decided to give it a shot. I have concerns about step 5 the final fluoride rinse, how do you feel about? I think anything in moderation is ok but I'm concerned about the frequent use of it. I know you're not supposed to ingest it but it makes me think using act rinse twice a day surely will increase my exposure to eat and inevitably a little will get ingested as you saliva forms and you swallow. I have decided to give it a shot still, but i'm very careful to make sure I don't swallow after 30 min as best I can. Do you think this step could be stopped entirely or maybe only done once a day, or Once a few days? How important do you find the entire regimen? I certainly have good hopes about the xylitol.

    All of the products in Dr. Elle's system are available in the UK. I buy most from Amazon.
    1.Toothpaste: Crest - Amazon. Seems expensive but the tubes are twice the size of the usual UK sized tooth paste tubes. Oral B 1-2-3 is a good alternative and is available through "on line" pharmacies.
    2. Altra Dex - Amazon . This is the rinse that is used first to take away the acidity of the mouth before brushing (I forget the US name but it is the same formula.)
    3. Act- This is the final fluoride rinse after using Listerine. Its name in the UK is Colgate FlouriGard. Available in Waitrose and perhaps other supermarkets.
    4. Xylitol mints and gum - amazon
    I have found Dr. Ellie's system excellent having no further problems with sensitivity, much reduced plaque etc. Good luck with your dental health!

      Altra Dex? I thought is called Ultra Dex. It can be found at Boots, Tesco and Superdrug. I don't know about any Altra Dex though. Only Ultra Dex. I buy the one that says "original" on it (as this was suggested by sombody else's comment under one if Dr. Ellie's videos). Thank you for the Colgate Fluoriguard in the role of Act. I will keep an eye on it for the future. Right now I have been using Dentyl instead of Act, just because it looks cool (is bi-phasic) and contains Xilitol). I am not sure if it works as Act should work. It's just something that seemed better considering the situation.

      It goes deeper than teeth right!? These patterns of thought connected to these physical issues can be so challenging. Never give up hope 🙏 I’ve had to make some very challenging choices to help my teeth. I believe some of the most supportive changes are in diet and nutrition. The Xylitol helps for sure but cutting out sugar, refined carbs and eating a whole food diet is super helpful. If you are not eating protein I highly recommend taking a quality amino acid blend (BCAA’s) to give the body the building blocks it needs to restore structure. I’m not a fan of dr Ellie’s protocol for myself because my body only does well on nature. It may work for you though! Another good biological dentist is Dr Dome. He includes natural supplements which I absolutely agree with. Wishing you the best results! You can do this! Get your power back ✨

If you were to time how long it takes for these Xylitol mints to dissolve then you can better quantify the timeline. I was doing Dr. Ellie's method, then I found out fluoride is bad for the thyroid gland, and I have a thyroid condition. I also stopped the method because I also discovered that mouthwashes destroy nitric oxide; and the test strips don't give an accurate enough result of how much nitric oxide is in the body. Testing in a clinic is the best way to know for sure how much nitric oxide is being produced.

    Don't be frightened to eat sugars, fruit, carbs - just swish your mouth with some mineralised water, and maybe drinking some milk or a bit of cheese afterwards will help. A caution with xylitol; it's a sugar alcohol and if used too much it ferments in the gut and can cause endotoxin issues. However i do use a couple pieces of flavoured xylitol chewing gum and incorporate the 'mewing' action after consuming carb foods (the brand i use is xyloburst) btw the oxidation of glucose creates carbon dioxide and oxygenates cell tissues. Eliminate toxic seed oils, pufa dressings and industrialised seed oil inflammatory foods as they will inhibit glucose oxidation. When brushing just dip neem leaf oil (which is anti-bacterial/plaque) with bi-carb soda on a toothbrush or i use a MISWAK plant stick which has inherent anti-bacterial properties and nulls plaque build up. Finally i finish brushing with calcium carbonate powder or eggshell powder on my toothbrush to strengthen the enamel. If flossing, then avoid commercial brands as they contain 4ever chemicals - phthalates/oestrogens 🍻

Keep them outside the bathroom so bad bacteria does not colonize on them. Also brush for two minutes with a focus on the gums inside and out side the teeth. You are then stimulating stem cells in the gums. She recommendeds soft Dr Plotkas or Preserve toothbrushes (both from Amazon) if you can get them. They have characteristics that help the gums heal, but not vital. I am looking for an alternative to Listerine, as it feels too harsh for my mouth, but haven't found an alternative I trust yet. My teeth are also suffering after years of eating lots of fruit, lemon water and probably too many carbs and not enough minerals. Then made worse by improper dental hygiene. I brused well at night and morning.. but now I know so much better. I love learning from Dr. Ellie's videos, but don't do all the fluoride products she recommends. Right now what seems to be working for me is following whatever I eat with a raw vegetable to clean and mineralize my teeth, usually celery. I brush my teeth and gums with a hydroxyapatite toothpaste which also has xylitol in it, or sometimes I just brush with coconut oil. I follow with a mouthrinse which also has those things as well as silver and some herbs, or sometimes rinse with salt water. Then no eating anything after that before bed. My mouth feels super clean and my teeth feel stronger. Oh an I use xylitol gum occasionally too. Thanks for sharing. But could you clarify how you take xilotol? Do you take a teaspoon of it and swish it in your mouth for 5 minutes after eating ?.

    • @tomnatural
      @tomnatural  7 місяців тому +108

      How I take Xylitol - After eating every meal (and often drinks especially juices, teas or coffee) I gently rinse with water (if available) then take a 1/4 teaspoon of the grains (about 2 grams) and allow the saliva to be drawn into my mouth. As the grains of xylitol dissolve I swish the mixture around my mouth and teeth using my tongue. I do this 5-7 times a day. The advised total amount for maximum benefit is approximately 10-12 grams. 1/4 tsp is approximately 2-3 grams. There isn’t said to be any danger in taking more (possible laxative effects) but less than 10 grams in studies made less of an impact. The Streptococcus bacteria is the one that xylitol targets, they produce a lot of acid that damages the teeth. They hide in the holes. Thanks for asking!

    Try to add coconut oil pulling. I heard sauerkraut is high in vit c and is good for teeth. My grandson going through the same thing. I think its hereditary. Order PUR gum. It has xylitol. There is a toothpaste and mouthwash that also contain it. I'll get back with you. Oh, and I just found out Mentos gum has it! It is listed as the main ingredient. $7.10 for 120 pieces. Says 1pc is a serving.

    Thank you for the information. Your approach seems to make a lot of sense. We had started with another system, using xylitol gum, pastilles, Closys, crest, etc., very detailed. We followed it to a tee and after 1-2 months our teeth (2 people) started to develop dark brownish stains and became difficult to floss (seemed like tartar), We asked for help in the comments and didn’t hear back from the author, so we stopped everything. Haven’t been back to a hygienist yet. Other viewers were kind enough to reply, however the suggestions ranged from “stop everything “ to “it’s happened to me also”, etc. Are you able to comment, will these darker spots disappear as the treatment progresses? We like your system, it seems much simpler. Thank you!

      Hi, I also got some brown stains mainly on the inside of my teeth and around some fillings while doing Dr Ellie's protocol. What I felt I was doing wrong: I was using very little amount of Listerine, as I didn't like it at all. When I increased the quantity of Listerine rinse, the brown stains diminished and I hope to disappear in the future. I'm continuing the protocol only because my teeth and gums feel much stronger than before (been doing this for 6 months now). Hope this helps.

      It’s such a tricky road to travel down because there seems to be so many different factor involved depending on the person. I stopped animal products in 2014 and slowly watched my teeth get weaker. I personally look on UA-cam at people like Dr Berg, Dr Mark Hyman and others with a that natural approach. Sugars have played a big roll for me and I suspect a lack of certain vitamins and minerals that naturally occur in animal products. For me I am using good quality supplements, a low carb and sugar diet, lots of leafy greens, low or no alcohol and exercise plus the Xylitol. I do intermittent fasting too so I often only eat within a 6 hours window each day which has made a big difference in lessening plaque. Mamma wellness is another lady who speaks about remineralisation of teeth. With that focus I’m sure you’ll find some answers. I’ve not had dark spots close up so I have to have them filled at this point. I hope you find your answers! Good luck

    Cool video man, i have also recently started to dive deep into researching teeth health. Ill tell you my routine to provoke thought and maybe we can juggle some ideas around.
    I did dr ellies routine actually, for about 3 weeks but then i quit since the amount if flouride she was recommending was borderline insane. I get that it CAN work, but at what cost? We kinda know by now that its a neurotoxin 😂. So after i quit i've built my own routine from the ground up.
    In the morning the first thing i do, after drinking water, is scrape my tounge and then brush my teeth using a nano soft toothbrush (least abrasive toothbrush on the market) and nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste (flouride alternative thats just another form of calcium, helps rebuild enamel). I do not wash my mouth with water after brushing, so an edible toothpaste is desirable. At night, same thing but floss (using non plastic floss) before brushing, and during to get the paste in between the teeth.
    During the day i use the xylitol after meals, the same way you do it. I also avoid eating and drinking much during 12pm-6pm since thats when our salive is most healing.
    I also oil pull using coconut oil 2 hours after my first morning meal. Just do it for about 10-15 minutes.
    Diet wise i eat a lot of raw food, such as raw cheeses and expecially aged gouda which has lots of vit k2. For vit A and D i eat about a teaspoon of fermented raw cod liver oil with my meals and with my meals i also always eat loads of butter. Sometimes i forget to eat the cod liver so i just eat a few raw eggs. They also contain high amounts of vit A and vit D. I use raw honey as my only sweetener. I try avoid fruit but summers coming up so i will keep pushing on with the xylitol.
    I think, other than diet change of course, xylitol is the number 1 thing most people can do to help their oral health. Your absolutely right, dentists do not want the majority to know 😬

    Hello, your video is so timely. I am following Dr Ellie’s program. Want to do the Master Cleanse program where you drink a mixture of fresh lemon juice, water, maple syrup and cayenne pepper six to seven cups per day.
    Wondering if Dr Ellie had any advice on how to counter any effects of drinking a beverage containing fresh lemon juice?
    Appreciate any feedback you may have.
    Thank you.

    • @tomnatural
      @tomnatural  5 місяців тому

      Yea I totally understand where you’re coming from. I’ve done the master cleanse too and it does require quite an acidic hit on the teeth. I think if your teeth are strong and you do this once it’s not going to be too bad. I would rinse with baking soda and then use the xylitol after to rebalance the alkalinity whilst inviting mineral rich saliva back in if I were doing this again 😊
      I’ve done years of fasting and lemon juice was always involved. I think this, along with nit supplementing, was what strongly influenced my tooth challenges. I got a bit obsessed with detoxing…. There are worse addictions lol
      My suggestion is that if you do decide to do the cleanse, address the alkalinity of the mouth after each drink. And also I know it’s not advised but I find that coconut oil pulling puts a type of shiny barrier around my teeth after pulling for a bout 5-10 mins. That might also be a tool you could try during the cleans before drinking the mixture.
      Hope that helps!

I like Dr Dome, he uses functional medicine and comes from a biological dentistry approach which is basically holistic and natural. He includes oil pulling and I agree. Thanks for sharing! And yea I use the crystals mostly too but need them less and less the better my diet (less sugar).

    Do you dilute the xylitol or do you put the granules straight into your mouth?

    • @tomnatural
      @tomnatural  4 місяці тому +1

      I put the xylitol granules directly into my mouth. About 1\4 teaspoon - 2 grams after meals and drinks (Up to 6 times a day).

    Do you take a certain amount after you eat or drink?

    • @tomnatural
      @tomnatural  5 місяців тому

      Yes I take approximately 2 grams at a maximum of 6 times a day after meals and drinks. Studies from Dr Ellie Phillips course say that any more than 12 grams a day will not improve the effects but less than 6 grams a day will lessen the effects. Best results showed from taking Xylitol in small doses 4-6 times. That’s what the studies show 😊

      In the description box. Or if buying locally try to find organic if you can.

    I'm going to try adding the xylitol and the other Dr. Ellie recommendations. Something she doesn't use that I do already though is a good tooth powder. I have one from OraWellness that has micro only hydroxyapatite and it definitely helps. The nano stuff works great too but I'm skeptical of things that are nano as they can easily enter your cells. I think they do clear as they are natural unlike something like titanium dioxide or other un natural nano particles, but the micro works well enough anyway. Hoping that with adding in the xylitol I can start to reverse my gum recession also. The hydroxyapatite certainly helps to stabilize them so maybe using both will actually begin to fully reverse the damage.

      That’s good to know! I’ve just ordered a toothpaste (David’s) that has hydroxyapatite! I kept hearing about it but I couldn’t remember what it’s was called. Thanks for sharing and best wishes with your success!

      @@tomnatural The Davids is a nano type. (Again it definitely works and some have more nano than others, I with all my health issues already am avoiding the nano just in case). The best nano I think I found was Dr. Jen's. I personally have been using non nano Risewell and I like it. The Davids iirc is pretty good also. The only things I could find to rebuild actual enamel other than Vitamin D / your own body (which it can) was a hard to obtain protein dental product but only a dentist can order it. It's made to be applied directly to early cavities whatever they are called I can't remember. Safe because it's the same protein your body makes to facilitate enamel production theoretically. Of course it seems they can do that with stem cells also and it would really be nice if the FDA didn't totally screw stem cell applications in the US. I'm sure they could be growing people entirely new teeth if we had real medicine and not endless corruption and for profit.
