@@FingerBreakerWu yeah they never reworked it or anything. Which you'd think would be easy for them to remaster it with all the original source code. Alas... we depend on the fans to deliver the goods. This is now one of my favorite fighters to jam on! Cody is a BEAST! Thanks for watching man!
Not really, the first original Street Fighter game was simply called "Street Fighter." This, however, is "Street Fighter One," a MUGEN fan game based on it.
I remember messing around with this years ago. Was pretty fun. Pre-Street Fighter Cody was also a very nice touch. Only funny thing was the default health/damage levels were a bit off making rounds end in timeouts often, but at least you could adjust them in the options. Very nice showing of the sauce this game has.
I’ve wanted a remake of part, one with playable controls. and combos for the longest time. This literally looks like a dream project. Congratulations on finding this, or creating it.

Street Fighter arcade cabinet had very large rubber punch and kick buttons that you had to smash! So fun. It kinda blew our minds backs then. That was before this version though. I remember the moves being very hard to pull off as a kid .
Yeah, the OG Street Fighter aged terribly, but it paved the way for SF2, which paved the way for everything else. SF1 crawled, so SF2 could walk, so that everything else could run.
Since you brought a exception with SF1, make another exception with Street Fighter Zero 3 Mix, this version of SFA is 3x3 and have parries for all characters!
Yes, a lot harder. They pretty much have to be frame perfect AND you have to use negative edge which is pressing the button, doing the movement, and then letting go of the button.
Yes they were much harder than SF2. In SF1 days complex inputs in games were new and not yet perfected. You had to toggle the joystick perfectly, whilst there were only 2 buttons. One for kick, one for punch but the power of the punch/kick was dependent on how soft/hard you hit the button so it was random what power you were gonna get. SF2 functioned so much better. I still however loved SF1, there was nothing like it at the time. I managed to work out how to consistently do a hurricane kick and that move would just beat everyone hands down except Sagat. Capcom mad sure that you could only beat him with dragon punch (because of the lore) which I could never get out consistently enough so I never clocked it.
believe it or not, this is desk's hardest combo video of all time, if you dont believe me, try and do a simple hadoken or a tatsu on this game for 10 times in a row. lmfao
This is why the first Street Fight must make a comeback with all other 1987 Street Fighter opponents with the new Super Street Fighter 2 finisher combos. Even greater than I expect.
Man, I remember playing this on M.U.G.E.N a few years ago. Street Fighter ONE was an impressive and fun project and it still is my favorite project as well! :D
I am a big fan of how Ryu and Ken are basically the sole survivors of this game and are STILL the life of the party in the newest Street fighter somehow it hits me really hard in this video.
Well Sagat, Birdie, Adon, Gen and Eagle have all survived on in other SFs to but yeh I get what you mean. Ryu and Ken are and probably will always be the face of SF.
Only things you missed was the run infinites on joe and retsu, doing lees dash punch and dive kick mid screen and gen jump kick follow up after his spinning lotus good stuff love it when i know all the combos before i see em lol
I used to play this MUGEN religiously 5-6 years ago, and to this day, it still makes me wish that Capcom would actually go back and do a full remake of SF1. Imagine getting the same cast with a fully fleshed out moveset, maybe sprinkled in with a few new characters for extra flavor, some fast gameplay mechanics akin to the Alpha games, remixes of the music based on the superior Turbo-Grafx arrangements. *sigh* We can only dream.
Is the video title a reference to the announcer line in Street Fighter Zero 3? The super flash also seems to be from the Zero series (level 2 super flash)
It's crazy that someone took one of the most memed on fangame engines (M.U.G.E.N.) and made what the AVGN called "Street Fighter: The Good Edition" with it.
Very cool fangame. I just think they shouldn't have made the hit and super effects to be SFAlpha Style. It clashes with the SF1 Artstyle a bit too much imo
Allow me to explain, SF Alpha in Japan is called as SF Zero, they choose anime aesthetic style because people in Japan love anime, yes there's SF Alpha 1, 2, 3 and then they released this SF One SF One is mark for their new approach and try to sell SF One overseas, that's why they choose realistic aesthetic and ditch the anime one, it continues in SF2 the World Warrior, some of super move that already included in SF Zero is also applied in SF One Sadly this version is not going well in overseas, so they ditch super move to make it closely with their realistic aesthetic in SF2 without leaving their anime root, that's why you still found hadoken in SF2 😁
Bruh I *WISH* this is how the og played!
Same here, man.
This one is such a blast to jam on! I play often locally. If I could ever figure out how to host an online match this would be happening every day!
One thing I find weird (stupid) is that in the official re-releases of the game, it still plays as ass as it did when it was first released.
@@FingerBreakerWuFor the sake of preservation. If you want a smoother version of SF1, just play Fatal Fury 1 or sf2ww.
Is this street fighter 1 turbo
The link is in the description, it's a Mugen remake
😂
No this is Patrick.
Street Fighter 1: Second Impact
No... This is patrick.@@jellojiggler1693
"This is Street Fighter One" Me after watching 10 seconds: Sir, I dub thee a liar.
no he said street fighter ONE not street fighter 1. completely different
If you looked at the link you would see that it's a Mugen engine game with sf1 style sprites
LOL i said the exact same thing to myself. you are not alone.
Haahha I thought the same.
Not really, the first original Street Fighter game was simply called "Street Fighter."

Street Fighter One by Valkyrie available on Mugen
Finally, playable Street Fighter 1.
Finally Steet Fighter "The Good Edition"
Lmao
That Cody super is fuckin sick 3:45

Never thought I would see Desk do Mugen combo videos. There's a lot of potential for this kind of content ngl
yea this is crazy
Not MUgen, Ikemen GO. The difference? You can make a complete full commercial release with netcode with Ikemen Go.
He'd end up with his mind fractured, picturing multiple universes and dimensions at once. It's kind of a tall ask, but I guess he could probably do it

I love that default M.U.G.E.N. super sound effect.
Hey, it works in the context of this game.
nice seeing some love for good ole MUGEN these days
Back when Street Fighter had real footsies 😤
Dude, keep your fetishes to yourself, k?
Just a joke, lol

Wait SF1 didnt have supers..
and no combo counter too
This is a MUGEN, it's not the first Street Fighter but "Street Fighter One".

If this happened in the 80's Capcom
Would be in the dough.🤑🤑🤑
Joe literally has Luke's crouching MP 😂
I see some new sprites in there and they're really impressive, fits sf1
Street Fighter "One"?
Where's the $12 Fatalities?
😆

There looks amazing, I would love to play this version 👏👏👏!!
Even in a fan game, Desk is popping off.
Since you brought a exception with SF1, make another exception with Street Fighter Zero 3 Mix, this version of SFA is 3x3 and have parries for all characters!
The only way to get Desk to sweat:
Ask them to do a 3 hit combo in the og SF1
The fact that they never used Geki again is nuts
He's basically a combo of Claw and Ibuki
The original Geki was dead. Geki 2 is alive and Capcom didn't bother to re-introduce him into SF 5 and instead brought back Ibuki
This is cool. The alpha moves seems to fit aesthetically as well as lore wise 😂
We need some tournaments of this!
Maravilloso grande desk
Holy crap I played this version YEARS ago and thought I'd lost it forever 😭 Bless this vid
I dont expect a response ,but I always wondered if the inputs in sf1 are harder to do compared to compared to sf2
YES! Every time you move forward or back, it's a dumbass hop!
Yes, a lot harder. They pretty much have to be frame perfect AND you have to use negative edge which is pressing the button, doing the movement, and then letting go of the button.
in SF1, yes. in SFO, no.
Didn't the cabinets also have pressure sensors so the harder you hit the buttons the more damage your dealt?
Yes they were much harder than SF2. In SF1 days complex inputs in games were new and not yet perfected. You had to toggle the joystick perfectly, whilst there were only 2 buttons. One for kick, one for punch but the power of the punch/kick was dependent on how soft/hard you hit the button so it was random what power you were gonna get. SF2 functioned so much better. Imagine Desk doing the actual Street Fighter 1 (the one from ‘87).
I have rewatched this at least ten times in the last two days because of the music alone
As soon as I saw a combo counter I knew it couldn’t be official
Street fighter 1, but 1200% cooler
I was expecting to see Ryu's hadouken/shoryuken do funny obscene damage, but this was a pleasant surprise.
Even for Mr. Desk, the execution required for these must be insane. I can’t even throw fireball consistently when I’ve played this game.
Its a mugen
@vdb492 yea but the commands for the actual game are notoriously difficult. Sf2 made the commands much more pratical.
Making OG Street Fighter look like it was actually a fighting game...
One of my favorite MUGEN games. I knew I was not the only one who noticed beautiful combo possibilities. Great video as always!
Imagine how hard Desk has to be punching those two oversized buttons.
Cool! I never knew you could to this in Street Fighter On...wait
well that was wild. the remixed music is sick.
believe it or not, this is desk's hardest combo video of all time, if you dont believe me, try and do a simple hadoken or a tatsu on this game for 10 times in a row. lmfao
This is a mugen of street fighter mugen it’s not as hard a the original lol
The rail car that says "funky" is actually a shootout to Grand Funk Railroad, one of the composer's favorite bands.
Desk is the GOAT of combo creating and performing!
Neat to see Lee got some of the twins moveset, since he's supposedly their grandfather
This is da one
Street Fighta One
that cody super is sick
Why are you so repulsed by it? Because he used a knife?
I'm more impressed you got any commands out in this game. Such a nightmare 😂
Looks fun as hell to play ngl.
Sf one alpha 2

I was SO confused at first like "the dude received TWO hadoukens and is still alive?" and then ryu did a super and I was like "ok it is a fangame"
WOW!!! Thank you.
Can you imagine if capcom knocked it out of the park this hard right away

This is Street Fighter: the Infinite juggles One.

Now’s the time that Capcom should bring back Mike, Joe, Li, and Geki into Street Fighter.
Genuinely surprised that Capcom themselves haven't updated SF1
I saw more clips elsewhere and Geki is SSSS tier on this
Desk showcasing M.U.G.E.N?
Hey as long as we get to hear more of Joe's arranged theme
Wondering if desk would like to join a beta testing and combo-ING tips for my project
Man if I had a fricking time machine.

This is Ultra Street Fighter One Hyper Fighting Rainbow Edition

It's crazy that someone took one of the most memed on fangame engines (M.U.G.E.N.) and made what the AVGN called "Street Fighter: The Good Edition" with it.
Haha, SF1 enhanced
This was a cool mugen mod, back then
Imagine in another timeline, Human Killing Machine became a sucessful franchise.
In OG SF, fireball, tatsu and DP were all OP. A few fireballs to kill, two DPs…crazy 😂. Basically all like supers.
Supers in SF1!... Bruh am I missing something??
This is a MUGEN based on the first Street Fighter and no, the original didn't have supers.
What strength! But don't forget, there are guys like you all over the world.
Yo this is fucking sick!
Bro there's like a thousand MUGEN games you could tear a new one
That Geki AHVB though
Capcom need to see this
Awesome
Finally. "Street Fighter 1: Good Edition"
"Street Fighter One" is a mugen remake btw if the title confuses you.
No wonder SF2 became a classic with this strong foundational title...
Desk the only one who can do combo in game you can't ❤
Lol even got that Final Fight turnaround punch reset 3:50
Omg. Eagle and Birdie. They're golf references.
Very cool fangame. I just think they shouldn't have made the hit and super effects to be SFAlpha Style. It clashes with the SF1 Artstyle a bit too much imo
I could of sworn Birdy was more pale in this version do to being ill. Also the moment I saw supers I was like wait a minute.
Eagle got zero pushback💀
Do Omega Tiger Woods and Rare Akuma combos next
Allow me to explain, SF Alpha in Japan is called as SF Zero, they choose anime aesthetic style because people in Japan love anime, yes there's SF Alpha 1, 2, 3 and then they released this SF One

Sadly this version is not going well in overseas, so they ditch super move to make it closely with their realistic aesthetic in SF2 without leaving their anime root, that's why you still found hadoken in SF2 😁
I linked this to every SF1 player I know. Bless you for doing this, so sick!
