What does lumber without labor cost for something like that?

Thanks! Depends, If I am cutting boards for myself I get pine logs for around $0.50 per board foot. Oak for $0.70. Pretty cheap if you have logs, a saw and equipment to load it with.

Good job on the raising of this timber frame. Did you shoot any video of the cutting of the joinery? I find that the most interesting part for timber framing.

Thanks! And I didn't have a chance on this building to get that video. But last week I started building a cabana and I am filming the milling, layout, joinery and installation. Might do a separate video for each. Then next month I will be filming all the joinery of my oak frame for the house 👍

I love the beauty of the timber frame but why are you using steel sledge hammers and marring all the beauty. I thought the old Amish use big wooden headed hammers so as not to mar the wood?
