I visited this town a couple of years ago on my travels around England. It´s really a lovely place and the local people were extremely friendly. Unforgettable experience.
Thanks Tim, we literally (in fading light and light rain) just did Beeston Bump 😂 after seeing it here ... time capsule, 20:47 hrs, May 4th 2023, we woz 'ere 👍🏻✅
I remember that boating lake very well. My late Grandfather, who lived in Sheringham, made me a wooden model boat with an electric motor on it. Happy days!
There’s a 10 year wait for a beach hut ,my family live there and have put their name down .I have lived in Norfolk nearly all my life and only recently spent time there since family moved to the town ,love it .
The boating lake is used quite often during the sheringham carnival for boat races and also during Sheringham beach life in the summer a church run kids event, where the children make and race boats out of milk cartons and other recycling. It’s lots of fun in this beautiful town!!
Heaved my way up the Beeston Bump quite a few times just to admire the view, Tim. Sheringham is such a lovely coastal town, and great for a lull on the beach. Cheers! 😀👍
My parents own the Costa building and apartment above it and I like to go down there whenever I get a free weekend, I love it! Great video, Dave’s fish bar is by far the best! And the first bomb dropped in WW1 was in Sheringham, there is a plaque that tells you about it, it was from a zeppelin!
Love Sheringham. Used to go on the Steam train with my dad and loved it. Haven’t been for a while since he passed away. But after watching your video I will go back again thanks Tim 😊 X
I've been visiting Sheringham every year for over 30 years and I never learned that about the clock tower! How wonderful. Nice to pretend I'm at the sunny seaside, rather than this dreary grey Autumn morning I've got today in the soggy North! :D Thank you for making this video.
Neither did I know the clock tower was for the waterworks. When my Dad was mayor he agreed to be locked in the clock tower for charity. It was a cold day and my Mum felt sorry for him, so she poked a couple of hot sausage rolls through the gate to keep him warm.@@WalkWithMeTim
Great trip around Cromer, thanks! Loved it to bits. Was there last week. Had FnC in Mary Janes tho! No1 has an amazing restaurant upstairs. Some good pubs as well. Love the drone shots.
I love your videos Tim, they are so informative and your manner is so light and friendly and easy to listen to! I appreciate your channel very much! Thank you!
Hi Tim now this is lovely 💖 I love Sherringham. Such a beautiful seaside town. I'd love to live there it's got everything I need . Beautiful day for filming and thoroughly enjoyed the walk Tim . Thanks for sharing with us love to you as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
Lived in Sheringham from 95 to 98, one of the most beautiful places on the north norfolk coast. On Wyndham street my friend owned a gorgeous dress shop there in the late 90s, who told me that Madonna herself popped in once... I never knew if she was telling the truth or just mistaken identity, but seeing as we were both massive fans of Madonna at the time, and she is my friend, I believe her lol Oh, and Black Shuck was a dog!!!!! We still tell the kids about black shuck, though not to scare them, that would be mean =) Great video Tim, not been to Sheringham for a good few years now, I more or less drive through it without thinking about it now, shame, its a little gem of a town!
Sheringham is definitely worth visiting, as it is a lovely town and as a bonus, does not seem to suffer the cold wind off the North Sea as much as Cromer. It does get busy in the summer and the car parks soon fill up, so arriving by train is a good option- either by the Greater Anglia trains from Norwich via Cromer, or as we do, the North Norfolk Railway from Holt (car parking available at Holt Station), enjoying the scenic ride on the way. Another attraction on the outskirts of Sheringham on the Cromer Road is the Priory Gardens. Pleasant walks around the gardens, dog friendly, accessible and some excellent food.
The best time to walk Sheringham sea front is in a storm in late Autumn. Parked outside the Crown one night in the 80s and the waves were over the top of the car. Nice to see not much has changed although I miss Craskes the Butchers.
Makes me proud to be born a Shannock. I've lived here my whole life and I'm never planning on leaving. Btw we don't keep the Christmas lights up all year round. I'm one of the crazy buggers helping take them down soon 😂
Sheringham seafront and town is really exotic in nature. It is a dream land of exciting adventure for natural beauty and an ideal place for building one's art, culture and aesthetic sense and of living with the much needed peace, harmony and wild imagination. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful sight of scenic beauty !! ❤️❤️❤️😗!!
I live in Norfolk and it looks amazing in 4k on my 75” tv …. Every UA-camr should have a 4k camera now , the difference is amazing . Great work as always Tim 👍
I visited Sheringham last Saturday as the same day I went to Cromer I loved the beach here as It was pebbles and had a long paddle in the sea and walked along the seafront looked around the town the shops there were wonderful and the sun was shining too the North sea was a wonderful dark blue color
Interesting video used to go to Cromer quite a lot ,knew a few of the west family ,the coffee shop just up from the seafront used t9 be the best joke shop ,spent many a day having laugh from there the best but was though going to high school and finding out it was owned by my geography teacher
I really loved this video Tim, thanks for your effort. I had never even heard of Sheringham, so this was something entirely new for me and it looks such a charming little town. It's certainly somewhere I'd love to visit. Great job Tim. Beeston Bump looks fabulous too, the views from up there look astonishing.
Lovely at anytime of year. Love it there really do. Great walks all around Norfolk. From Cley to Cromer. Surly the best costal sea front in the country.
@@WalkWithMeTim thank for the like. I’ve been all over Norfolk. From the bird reserve at cley to the tank museum in weybourne. Even the beach at salt house where there are the 2 rusty old shells of WW2 British Covenanter tanks.
An awesome part of the world - we stayed at the cliff front Woodhill Park - Caravan & Camping site mid-point between the two towns. Great seafront and beach walks plus steam railways - what's not to like ?
Another great video Tim. The weather looks fantastic. Yet another place we will add to our list if we ever get back to the UK for a trip. Have a great weekend. Debbie & Patrick
Love Sheringham better in the summer last time I went there for my wedding anniversarrary on a cold February many years ago . Has changed over the years still not bad.
My Auntie lives in Sheringham!!! (Haven't visited though yet) Though my experience of living on the south coast once does give you a slight smugness that you're a local and not a tourist...
How lovely. Fab beaches. Ive never been to Norfolk, but I enjoy getting out and about so Ive added Sheringham/Cromer to my list. I live near Liverpool so tend to visit Wales/Lakes /Yorkshire/North East.
Been to the Sheringham Trawler a few times - one of the few places in the area you can order your haddock skinned - important for a Yorkshireman like me!
Another great vid Tim, thanks. I have'nt spent much time in Norfolk, but this looks like a place the wife and i would enjoy exploring, and could find some nice walks in the vicinity as well
Awesome scenery and very beautiful Historic Buildings. Those small houses at the seafront is so cool. Love the history. I love the beach walk Tim. Great 👍 video.
I really enjoyed my visit to Sheringham last year....I had the best ice cream ever, at the ice cream place (Pungleperrys) on the road leading down to the beach....Jaffa Cake flavour.
Loving Sheringham walk, looks so nice,we're going on my nephews train it's a Deltic, called Andania,we're getting picked up in Sheffield and going to Great Yarmouth,be a lovely day out,you can find the videos on UA-cam.
Lovely little town, also worth a visit is the Muckleborough Colliection just a few miles away. On a sidenote another vintage railway was used in the first Harry Potter film and that's Goathland which also doubles as Adensfield in Itv series Heartbeat.
Fabulous walk as always you always manage to get a lovely sunny day which is a bonus for us guys. What a beach! Beautiful walk. Looking forward to another nightmare hotel 🏨 thank you.
