Hi Tim ! This is what I love about Norfolk it's like stepping back in time. I really love going to Hemsby and great Yarmouth it's my childhood holiday place. Looked a lovely day there thanks for sharing with us. Love to you as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
I went last year for the first time in many years. It was a birthday treat to myself and i took my dog. We walked for hours collecting shells and pretty stones. He loved running through the rock pools and eating crabs. I plan to go back in a week or 2 and make it a yearly tradition. Cheers for this video as it was perfect timing with some great memories.
Hunny is the epitome of English seaside resorts. When I visit friends and family at nearby Heacham, you'll find me there often, with my missus, just watching the sunset with fish & chips in hand. Hunny is definitely sweet, Tim.👍
Great video . Iv visited Hunstanton many times and never get bored of it . It's so laid back and the sunsets are amazing . I will make another visit soon . You can't beat the great British seaside .
Been to hunny a few times, staying at searles etc always lives up to the sunny bit,but you forgot to mention the wind always seems to blow a gale when we’ve visited.
We live near Blakeney & we did several holidays in Hunstanton whilst my dad was dying from a brain tumour. It's was the only place I could go pick them up from their home, drive them there then go fetch my wife & kids so we could all go together. We stayed at the Park Resort site next to Searle's which is really nice, nice indoor & outdoor swim outside pool. Love Hunstanton & now have some very fond, dear memories of all of us there, the grandkids & my parents Foster kids on rides & the sealife centre before my dad got too ill to leave the house. Hunstanton was also the closest beach growing up & spent many an hour there & stuck on the old chicken run A149 as it was then. Thanks for this Brought back some great memories
What a lovely looking place and I think those cliffs look awesome especialy with the colour change but whats best of all is that it has the same timeless charm of many decades ago. I hope it never changes and it is certainly a place I would love to visit.
The pier has long gone. It was a rotting dangerous heap back in the 60s. Me and two school pals wandered on to it one blustery night and a bench seat gave way and swung out over the churning waves with young Mickey hanging on for his life. A real close call 😁
I remember the old boating lake and the freezing cold sea water pool. Cod and chips from 'Fishers' accompanied with a pint of cider from the Golden Lion is a lovely treat.
So glad I found this video, so many good memories of Hunstanton, my grandparents had a caravan at Heacham so my sister and I and sometimes our friends and cousins spent many a summer there. Loved this, thank you for sharing.
Just rewatching Hunstanton and we are in Hunstanton. You can tell my husband watches you too, he said I recognise that from Tim. Love watching all your videos. Thank you because you encourage us to visit different places, love watching Gaby’s videos too.
Pure nostalgia, memories of biking on my Grifter from Heacham, my Nan lived there, to Hunstanton, along the wash, then diving into the arcades, a time when a fiver went a long way!!!
just found this one Tim - loved Hunstanton as a kid (40+ years ago) my Gran lived down the road in Heacham - spent ages in the joke shop as a kid, ghost train was great and a lovely trip down memory lane
Excellent vlog as always. Love Hunstanton, it's our nearest seaside, 102 miles from here. Have fond memories of visiting with my late parents in the 80's and going to the Princess Theatre and then with my own children in later years. We were last there in April for my daughter's birthday and as you say it's not changed over the years.
Went there last bank holiday weekend, bloody loved it. Had tea and donuts near the pier, went on the landing craft, did the really old fair rides and had a go on the 2p machines in the arcade. The weather was great, proper old school seaside!
I went there years ago, must’ve been the early 2000s. It’s a really nice place. We went on that Wash Monster vehicle… quite a bizarre experience but fun!
Hunstanton has always been lovely, my family have been going there since the 1980s. Lovely seafront with fish and chips, donuts and icecreams, with the fairground rides and amusement arcades, and some nice little shops, including souvenir shops and The Joke Shop. Very pleasant seaside town, I went there today with my sister and we loved it. Lots of people eating fish and chips and enjoying themselves. It kept raining but we dodged the rain with the brolly and kept our spirits up with tea and fish and chips. Lovely town.
An excellent video and commentary on what makes Sunny Hunny such an ideal holiday or day trip destination! There really is a little something for everyone. I've been holidaying there for over 40 years, and it works its magic every time. Lovely fresh air, beautiful walks on the beach or promenade, catching those stunning sunsets. I always return home feeling refreshed and relaxed. Wonderful memories of this lovely resort, and long may it last 👍
My parents had a caravan at Hunstanton when I was a child , I have the best memories ever of my summer holidays there. Even though I have moved away I still visit a couple of times a year with my own children 😃
Been there before,Joke shop,Been there for a long time,Also been in just every shop in Hunstanton as well,Once stopped at a B and B place some years ago as well,It was quite cheap then for a good weekend away
Had many a day trip to Hunstanton late 40's early 50's as it was the closest seaside place to where I lived in Northamptonshire visited again a few years ago on a trip back to UK enjoyed some wonderful fish and chips there. Loved the vlog today, many happy memories..

Just a wonderful fun place for the kids! Hope all the children had a fun and happy day .. big kids too! Thanks Tim hope it brought back such happy memories for you😎
I visited today and had a brilliant time walked along the beach and what a view from the lookout seen the cliffs and lighthouse too and a long paddle in the sea the tide was out and gotta say the scenery was stunning and even had fish and chips in Henry's Sunny Hunny will always be a beautiful seaside to visit and Norfolk and Suffolk have the best coastline
Your review is spot on. Hunstanton doesn’t seem to have changed much in all the years I’ve been coming (a running joke is that neither have some of the shop window displays, but that just adds to its charm!) I think it holds a special place in people’s hearts from when they used to visit as a child, and I used to love the joke shop, though as you observed its now less jokes and more naff adult toys! Despite it becoming rather tired and run down in recent years, the last time I visited it was clear that quite a bit of money has been invested and it was looking rather splendid. You can’t go to Norfolk without visiting Sunny Hunny for a stick of rock and some chips!

Thank you for the great video and the memories. I lived in Hunstanton for 9 years .I left in 2000. You are right it doesn’t change much at all. Just the odd shop closes with a new one to take its place. I used to work in a fabulous tea room where we sold delicious cakes and fantastic bread with a small tea room attached called The Corner House. All gone now. Also a little shop called “Spellbound” such great memories in Hunstanton. It’s lovely to see it again...I’m going to have to pay it a visit very soon. Thanks again. 👍
Big fan of all of your vlogs and love seeing spots in Norfolk that I have memories of/love to get away too. I’ve got so many memories from Hunstanton when I was younger. Cannot forget the goblins pantry which was near the joke shop. It closed down this year :( I’ll never forget the time I went to Hunstanton and my mum told me not to eat the whole bag of skittles for breakfast. My 5 year old self ate the whole bag of skittles. Bad things happened after that 😭😭😭
