Led Zeppelin would never existed without the coming together of these four musical geiuses! Great musical talents individually.......but together........PHENOMENAL!!!!!
❤😊I just love you guys reactions to all of Zep songs! No words, mouths drop open, they really do take you to another realm. They touch our souls with with theirs! Jimmy's early studio musical experience really played into how things were layered and put together seemingly effortless. They are all masters of their own craft but Page was the maestro and visionary of this band, humbly so. I'm 64 years old. My 1st Zep concert I was 11 or 12 (1971/72?)in Portland Oregon. No my parents didn't know of course. I was hooked from then on. That has never changed. Imagine being there...I was blessed and didn't even know it. Also, over my lifetime, especially 70s, 80s, early 90s, I've been to over 200 concerts. Some 2 or 3 times. Alot I don't remember, a Lotta psychedelics back then. Bless you both and thanks for your honest and humble reactions. ❤🎉 P.S. I still get chills and goose bumps every time I hear Zep!😅
I'm not denying magical or divine intervention with Zeppelin, but also, even at this young age, they have had years of intense experience (especially Page and Jones), and also they have all been serious students of the blues and rock & roll for years before. That's why each lick, beat, and note comes with musical and historical authority.
Really enjoy your reactions. It is a journey every.single.time! There are no words only the experience. All four of these band members are gifted musicians. Let’s top that off with the fact that there was a ton of improvisation according to Jimmy Page-they never did the songs exactly the same way twice live. There are no words…just joy!
I remember a quote from Jimmy Page, when discussing each of their musical abilities, saying something along the line that they were all very good before Led Zeppelin but afterwards they all soared to the top of the rock mountain. I guess that makes sense, I mean, what band wouldn’t want to have John Bonham as their drummer or Jimmy Page as they are guitarist or John Paul Jones as their bassist/keyboardist or Robert Plant as their lead singer. And together, wow! 🤯
The 70s was the greatest time to be young. Still had the classic music, swing, big band, and all the new music from Motown to Zeppelin, from the Beatles to the Greatful Dead from BB KING to YES from the Stones to Ann Murray
robert and bonzo were 21. this gig was on jimmies 26th birthday and hes the oldest. the sweater hes wearing was knitted by his mum for his birthday, how rock n roll is that! haha
I'm so glad to hear you talk about Zeppelin like this. I'm an older guy and my fav groups (not in order)......Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Stones and early Genesis with Peter Gabriel ................but Zeppelin are the best ROCK band ever
This really is one of Led Zeppelin's best live concerts. It took place on Jimmy Page's 26th birthday. The other band members are younger. The band had already done US tours and played in large venues. In their home country of England, this was their first really big concert. Robert Plant's voice was fantastic here. I recommend this show if you want to react to live performances. "Weere gonna groove", "Dazed and Confused" and "Moby Dick" but also the then brand new "Whole lotta Love" are great. Robert plays the harmonica on "Bring it on Home". They also played old rock'n'roll classics like "C'mon Everybody" and "Something Else" wonderfully here. Compliments, you have good musical taste and you are two nice people.
They play here like they still have something to prove. John Bonham in particular is just amazing here but surely every single person at the Albert Hall that night must have known they were watching history in the making, a band destined to rule the world.
When Jimmy started Zeppelin he had a couple of goals : Everybody would be represented equally without any one person being the "Star", and being a great live performance group. Jimmy is a genius in the studio and you miss his mixing and layering during live shows, but you do see their original intentions.
As always, outstanding reaction - i had forgotten about this performance...watched it many times years ago when I got the DVD set, but really enjoyed seeing it again through your reaction...thanks and i'll send a new request your way soon with some thank you cash...gotta' decide what to recommend that ya'll haven't reacted to yet....also, it must be hard NOT to listen to all of their albums now that you know how great they are...please be patient...your reactions help me remember my youth! Thanks so much...ya'll are getting me more amped for my first time to see any member of Led Zeppelin live in concert...Robert Plant coming to Charlotte in a few weeks...CAN'T WAIT!!
Look, these guys are each soloist, that MESH. The vocals are sweet. Tightest band ever. GOAT Rock/Blues. Many songs start mellow, then build up to explode. Live versions are the best as they display their SOULS! Great stuff.
4 jigsaw pieces that found each other and created a never ending picture. i always wonder what they would be doing had bonzo had still been here. cheers guys again a beautiful reaction
They weren't a band, they were magic! When listening to this album, it's hard to believe that it was their first. We pretty much all reacted the way that you are when we first heard it. Def check out the studio version tho. Both are incredible! Jimmy Page once said that he doesn't play music, he plays feelings. I've said this before, Page was the strike of lightning, Bonham the thunder, John Paul Jones the rhythmic sounds of the rain, and Plant the wind howling and sighing thru the trees. Together they created the perfect storm
This is an excellent example of how these guys could take an old blues song, and then "get the Led out" and restyle it as their own. Their abandon when they were young was unmatched. All 4 members were not afraid to "take off the reigns" and rules, and just go for it. Keep in mind, Led Zeppelin was not immune to the drugs scene which gave an alternate view of the world, allowing them to "twist" the music to their own imaginings, and luckily, it made a lot of sense to a lot of people. 10 years later, you can hear the difference in their tiredness, and complacency. This is when that first fire was still raging in the band.
You put four of the greatest musicians in the same band with the right chemistry and no jealousy you get Led Zeppelin. Oh and Jimmy Page live is mesmerizing and plain nasty on the guitar.
This is what you get when you put together four musicians who are masters of their craft and then add a bit of magic dust. Love when Plant & Page do that call and response thing. Zeppelin blew my crowd and me away when they came on the music scene, their sound was out of this world. I still vacillate between Zeppelin & Pink Floyd as my all time favorite bands. Tool is up there with LZ & PF to round out my top three. Love your reaction, you are right on.
Another great reaction. Having listened and watched them for decades it’s always great to have you two re-confirm how immediately great they are and that it’s not just nostalgia that keeps me coming back to enjoy them again.
No other band has ever had every member on the same wavelength and in perfect musical synch with each other as Led Zep. it's almost a telepathy between each other
Well done..!! ❤ Vos sourires et votre feeling me réchauffent le cœur et l'esprit... Top off the blues there..!! And that's it, Led Zeppelin, the greatest, incomparable and magic, and very good for your life, yeah!! 😍😎🥁🎹🎸🎶
Well…Plant was 21 here….January of 1970…. It was Jimmy’s birthday …I think the 9th…..Jimmy just turned 26, and that vest he’s wearing was knitted by his mom! What a good son, wearing it for a concert. 😁. You can see that Robert has not yet developed his full-on “rock god” stage persona…that would come over the next year or two. Yes….Robert’s voice from 1968 to 1972 or so was otherworldly …….he damaged it along the way, what with singing three hour concerts several times a week For looooong tours…. But even after his voice was no longer like this, he still was one of the top frontmen in rock history. Keep in mind that Jimmy, who formed the band, was more than 4 years older than Robert, much more experienced….
@@MerchantOfAlba ❤❤❤...🤣😍HAHAHA!!! i must tell y'all that my hubby is now watching & loving your reactions, too!!! 🤣🤣WHAT IN THE WORLD??!!! i never dreamed he'd be watching reactions... and so far y'all are the only ones... so GREAT JOB!!!!! LOOOOOVE Y'ALL!!!!!!!!!!
I think this was played right on Jimmy's birthday... Jan 9th so he was really on fire. Amazing gig. Thank you for another great reaction, both of you. Try Achilles Last stand from 79 in Knebworth.
You guys are so great! Thanks for doing my pick, I’m so happy that you love this one! Andre wants to dance and I see Dominica touching the buttons of her shirt, it might be time you unbutton the top one when listening to Zeppelin lol! (Reference to one of your early videos😊)… so they were influenced by many different styles but in the beginning blues was a big part of their foundation. And this 1970 tour was the last time they actually played this song. As you know, they went on a creative journey that makes up everything that is Led Zeppelin but yes, the early hard hitting blues is a personal favorite! As far as studio versus Live, there are some songs like this one that I think are fine to hear first. But honestly, there are so many of their songs that to me just need to be heard in the studio first that’s where the song was born and so much effort put into the creation of it… Love your reactions and thanks again more to come! ❤
I would always recommend listening to the studio versions, first, for one reason. All their live versions are interations on the originals. And those iterations, from one night to the next, could be very different. Jimmy Page once referred to these changes as "mutations". So the songs were continually being re-invented. This must have been a great show at the Royal Albert Hall in 1970, I remember seeing a reaction to 'Whole Lotta Love' from this concert and it was great! I don't know if you've reacted to another couple of my fav LZ songs, 'In the Evening' and 'The Rover', both have fantastic riffs as you would expect from LZ! Thanks so much for your reaction. 😊😊
Just to be helpful….you know you can check to see whether they’ve done those songs, right? Just check their Zeppelin playlist. 🙂. I just did..and no, they have not. Do you know how to do that?
Regarding which versions to listen to first, studio or live, I think the best of both worlds is to listen both. Babe I'm Gonna Leave you only saw the live version and I think you should also listen to the original version, especially because of Plant's voice which sounds much more powerful. I personally think the original studio versions are better overall, but there are also wonderful live performances.
I remember freaking my buddies out with this in 77 or so in high school. Recorded off of the radio. I still have the cheap ol' cassette that we had back then.
Hi guys you are my favourite Led Zeppelin reactors ever. Would love for you to do the studio version of The Lemon Song and How Many More Times live 1969 Danmarks version Plant and Bonham I think are only 19 in this performance
The comments that the studio version is better are absolutely bizarre. This song from this show is one of the greatest live performances of their career. This is Page at his best. If you don't think think this is spectacular you don't know or appreciate Led Zeppelin. An edited version of this performance is the highlight of the Coda album.
Hey guys, here’s a request you probably don’t get too often. “Somewhere over the rainbow” by…..he goes by “IZ”, full name Israel Kamakawiwo’ole….He’s a Hawaiian and he sings this classic song beautifully
My father-in-law queued to buy us tickets to see Led Zeppelin in 1973, but on the day Robert Plant had lost his voice and croaked his way through the concert. 😟😟

1970 Royal Albert Hall show. Total fire, from beginning to end. One of their greatest shows.

As Jack White said, “I don’t trust anyone that doesn’t like Led Zeppelin.”
I agree and fuck Jack White even though I love his music so much. R&R forever.
👍🤣
Truth
Wiser words not spoken. 😊
Wouldn’t it be a trip watching them see Dazed and Confused at MSG😂
You never stopped smiling, Dominika!!! And I think you stopped smiling ONCE, Andrei. I don't know why. :)
The greatest band ever! Always so exciting. Every song it’s own little masterpiece. Cheers ❤️
The Musical equivalent of "THE PERFECT STORM!"❤❤❤❤❤
I just LOVE to watch Dominka react to Zeppelin!😂
And Dominika loves discovering Led Zeppelin 😉 Much love from both of us 💚
My favorite Zep reactors! Love how you guys feel Led in all your parts. 😊
As you ALL can see,,,,Led Zeppelin is for the ADVANCED music listener. 💥💥💥🤘🤪

Horses for courses.

Very few people in this world are truly born with talent and Led Zeppelin was definitely born with it
This really is one of Led Zeppelin's best live concerts. It took place on Jimmy Page's 26th birthday. The other band members are younger. You both feel the Zeppelin effect and it ROCKS! Love you guys from the USA♥️
Much love from Romania 💚😊
You were served straight up American Blues with a dash of rock for flavor. Good enough for second helpings!
My FAVORITE show from Zep!! Let's go!!!🤘
Bonham's right foot was making magic back there!!!
More Wonderful Led Zeppelin!❤❤❤❤❤
They play here like they still have something to prove. John Bonham in particular is just amazing here but surely every single person at the Albert Hall that night must have known they were watching history in the making, a band destined to rule the world.
The studio version is amazing and this live version is perfection. The studio versions of all their songs are always epic!
You are correct and first time listeners should always start with the studio cuts and then progress into the LIVE .......JMHO !
"i don't think it's possible to love you more".... OMFG I AM NOW HOOOOOOOKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When Jimmy started Zeppelin he had a couple of goals : Everybody would be represented equally without any one person being the "Star", and being a great live performance group. Jimmy is a genius in the studio and you miss his mixing and layering during live shows, but you do see their original intentions.
This concert is unreal. The best live performance ever. Zep at their peak!! Untouchable
NO, 1973 they were at their peak😂
Not Plant
I agree! 💯☮️❤️

That entire concert was 🔥. Highly recommend listening to all of it. Enjoyed your reaction, thanks!
This is what happens when 4 superstars meet. ❤
You put four of the greatest musicians in the same band with the right chemistry and no jealousy you get Led Zeppelin. Oh and Jimmy Page live is mesmerizing and plain nasty on the guitar.
Pure voice ❤
Yo! This was LIVE!!! 1970! To all humans who were lucky enough to witness this in person....God Bless you.

"i need some fresh air"👍🤣🤣
Every live performance is different as they are they greatest improvisational band ever. Even live performances are different with the same song.
Pure Raw talent
So good. Once in a lifetime kind of band
Another great reaction. Having listened and watched them for decades it’s always great to have you two re-confirm how immediately great they are and that it’s not just nostalgia that keeps me coming back to enjoy them again.
There was no four other individuals on the face of this earth that could have been Led Zeppelin or that could have done what they did
No other band has ever had every member on the same wavelength and in perfect musical synch with each other as Led Zep. it's almost a telepathy between each other
bonham straight out of the gate with his bass drum triplets!!
I remember yall saying you weren’t very familiar with blues music. Now y’all have those smiles like you know exactly wha5 the deal is. 🙂
Well done..!! ❤
Vos sourires et votre feeling me réchauffent le cœur et l'esprit... Top off the blues there..!! And that's it, Led Zeppelin, the greatest, incomparable and magic, and very good for your life, yeah!! 😍😎🥁🎹🎸🎶
to my knowledge Led Zeppelin is among the few band that perform better live than studio

I have all their albums all these years ago! Man they were so damn great!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for this adorable reaction. I know you will love it ❤😅
This version of the song hits like a tornado!
This is the best version of this song, lightyears better than the studio version. You made a good choice reacting to this one Love
They are astonishing!
Awesome song ❤
Excellent choice..always perfectly done..always..Much respect and success 🙌
Thank you so much 😀💚
You guys made my day. Zeppelin is the Goats! You need to do the Lemon song.
You guys rock!
If you like this then you need to see the entire royal Albert hall show. It’s amazing. Especially How many more times
The live and studio songs are so different that you can still love both versions.
Zep plays the blues very well.
This is great on the studio version too.

'The Lemon Song' PLEASE! Love to you both x
I would always recommend listening to the studio versions, first, for one reason.
All their live versions are interations on the originals. And those iterations, from one night to the next, could be very different. Jimmy Page once referred to these changes as "mutations". So the songs were continually being re-invented. But the originals served as the essential super structure, upon which new layers were continually added. That's one of the reasons why the band could not continue after John Bonham's death--they could never find another drummer who knew the evolution of the songs, over time.
Studio versions are the DNA. Live versions are the evolution of that DNA, discovered. I love them both. But I gain a greater appreciation for the live versions knowing how they were originally composed.

The Blues.
I remember freaking my buddies out with this in 77 or so in high school. Recorded off of the radio.
I still have the cheap ol' cassette that we had back then.
There is no comparison to LZ!
There is nothing they couldn't do!
Just sorry I never got to see them live...
Getting to see Robert in July.
Hi guys you are my favourite Led Zeppelin reactors ever.
Would love for you to do the studio version of The Lemon Song and How Many More Times live 1969 Danmarks version Plant and Bonham I think are only 19 in this performance
There are live 69 versions of this that are even more insane. Especially Plant wailing away
Absolute Heavyweights .
the studio is best version
They do another song live from MSG 1973 that you two just might not be able to handle😂 Dazed and Confused!
“ The Ocean” live at Madison Square Garden, 1973. Oh yeah. 👍
Dare I say that you may also be responding to the majesty of the Blues...............

I am with you, love the live performances even when they are hard to see through the copyright filter 😉
Unfortunately we are not able to avoid that. But always put a link to the original song in the description below. Best wishes 💚
yes rip your ... nah just love Led Zeppelin they sold their soul.
Another great remake. This time of Otis Rush, 1956.

Check out the entire 20 minute performance of How Many More Times from this show!
Whilst their studio recordings are great, their live work was outstanding
Oh it will never get better...nobody can touch Zeppelin!! Robert and Bonham were both 22 here...JPJ was 24 and Jimmy 26!
Wouldn’t it be a trip watching them see Dazed and Confused at MSG😂
