Bought today after watching your video! I regularly use a Raiden Mid by Artisan, I am a competitive Apex Legends player, with several hours of gameplay and Kovaak. Just recently I was considering purchasing a glass pad but I was hesitant, given the excessive prices on a product that I wasn't sure I would like, given its particularity. I've already had the opportunity to try the glass "tray-pad" I bought from Ikea today and I have no words: certainly faster than the Raiden Mid, but with a control that I would never have expected given the greater speed. I never thought I'd say it, but I much prefer it to the Raiden Mid and it makes me laugh to think that Ikea didn't market it as a real gaming pad, it would have been a crazy success! Paid exactly half because last pieces, I'll take at least a spare pair! It will definitely become my main pad, I've tried a lot of pad but this Ikea tray is marvelous. Still speachless. Thanks so much for the video!
@@diogy4351 used for three weeks, no scratch or damage at all! Honestly this makes sense to me a lot because last time I checked "Glass is Glass" so it makes perfect sense a 35usd pane feels the same / better than a 100usd plus pane.
That is incorrect, I've owned both the skypad 3.0 and game sense sonar, not only do they have measurably different friction, they feel completely different in practice. So while glass is technically glass, the surface changes it's dynamics considerably into completely different experiences. Thats not a shot at this IKEA hack, glass pads don't need to be as expensive as they are. And some pads do feel similar to each other.
@@RitzyBusiness thank you for improving my understanding of Glass pads ! I feel my original comment was ignorant ! I hope to test for myself one day and experience the differences !
the bestå shelves come with transparent frosted glass windows that are abt 60x64cm or something; also got one that is tinted dark, not sure if that one is frosted or not much more expensive but if its as flat and consistent as this it could be a good choice for a larger pad
the white powder is probably acrylic dust. its commonly used in storage of glass so there is a small gap between the sheets to make em easier to separate. otherwise the sheets sortof become massive suction cups.
I feel like if we could find a large enough version of like a matte/frosted glass screen protector for iPads/tablets it’d be amazing since it has adhesive on the back and is only like 0.5mm thick
Definitely wanted to see more Ikea stuff being tested as mouse pads! The size on this one is too small I'll be running our of mouse space all the time on this.
Personally, I actually use an xp-pen drawing tablet. Built for smooth gliding, and cleans super easy, plus it has programmable buttons on one side, and sometimes, I even draw on it
I'd definitely be interested! Glass pads usually are really expensive and having options that aren't priced at like $100 could bring some people to give it a try. Also, how and with what paint did you paint the back of yours?
Hey! I just sprayed the glossy side with spray paint! Be sure to use painters tape on the opposite side to make sure no paint bleeds onto the surface layer!
Varmblixt = Warm lightning (as in lightning from the sky). Swede here! Just wanted to add that little knowledge if that was something people wanted to know.
Yup! Bought the "VARMBLIXT glass shelf 90 frosted glass/white". Just came in today and it works like a dream as a really long mousepad. Your video clanged my gaming experience ! Much love
One thing you have to give ikea is that their QC is on point, being Swedish I own and has owned a lot of stuff from there and I can't remember ever having a QC related issue with their stuff.
the VARMBLIX collection was meant to be a short term collaboration with designer Sabine Marcelis. Thats why its unfortunately discontinued. But if you have any viewers in southern Ontario Canada, The Burlington Ontario IKEA has them on sale for $5 right now in their tent sale. Cool video! never thought of using glass.
I loved the video, but it would have been nice to see some footage of it actually being used in game. Looking forward to hopefully more Ikea mousepad videos in the future!
I usually have some kind of gameplay B-roll but I didn't have time to record any for this video haha. I'll be sure to include more gameplay in future videos! Thanks for the feedback 💜
What sensors have you tried on it that worked? I have an old icemat that works perfectly with logitech hero sensors, but won’t track at all with my 3060, 3310, or 3090 sensors. Please let me know!
I go over the mice used at 6:29! Sensors are HyperX 26K, Pixart 3389, Pixar 3395 & Razer Focus Pro 30K! I did also put a little time on the Steel Series Areox 3, Pulsar Xlit1 v1 and they all worked perfectly!
Got this "glass mouse pad" but I seem to be having issues with the tracking. When doing slow movements it tracks well, but when I do a quicker flick it basically does nothing, just moves a little. Any ideas of why this might be the case? The mouse is Rival 100
You should have put 2 base pads in the middle. I can't believe you only put one. I'm outraged beyond words. You should think long and hard about what you've done. Great video man. I subbed.
To be honest the glass is pretty much perfect, the only thing I'd say is maybe IKEA could make the glass 3mm instead of 4mm, but aside from that the glass is perfect imo.
For glass pads, I'd recommend using UHMW(ultra high molecular weight) polyethelyene. CS Hyde makes a sheet with acrylic adhesive backing, I use that with a hand held sheet metal powerpunch to make dots. They last for months and stay consistent. PTFE will wear down and get flat spots after a while and it will leave a residue on the mousepad. UHMW polyethylene has a similar coefficient of friction to PTFE but it's about 3 times harder.
I am seriously considering getting this, but its a bit sad that literally no one else has tried to corroborate your findings yet Would love to have someone else try it as well before i go and get one
To be honest, a serving tray will have probably more integrity than a glass mouse pad, just because it will be moved around and is supposed to hold items, like another glass or dish.
I have run into a similar situation with trading card mats. They are designed to be tossed in a bag and beaten up so they actually have slightly higher quality than most mousepads.
I'm curious what else exists in the various home goods stores, as etched glass seems to pop up here and there occasionally in a variety of products. There have to be occasional hidden gems, just like the Varmblixt tray, all over the place given how massive the home goods market is.
You can get friction-free nylon tape that's supposed to be used for making wooden drawers slide better, but you slap a little on the bottom of your mouse and it works great.
I just spray painted the glossy side! I didn’t do this but I’d recommend putting painters tape over the edges of the top later to prevent paint from getting on it. If you do get paint on the top later you can just scrape it off buf better to be cautions unlike me 😅
I used to buy frosted glass sticker usually put on shower glass walls and stick it on my desk, so I have a custom size "mousepad" Maybe you can buy a custom glass and put sticker on it yourself

I’m looking into some other options from IKEA since it appears as if the Tray has been discontinued, I’ll post another video with my findings once I can go back!
Looks like the tray is not launched world wide or will be removed from the marked very soon. The IKEA in my country did not have it. I had to look at the IKEA UK site to find it. I also checked the IKEA Sweden and it says it "har upphört" so it it is no longer available in Sweden. I guess either it became to popular or you have to be quick to get one.
I got the pad cheap after seeing this video and i really like the surface but it is a little bit too small in height. Whats a glass pad that comes the closest to the ikea pad but is a little bit bigger?
@@Daniel-ye1ss As I understand. The only pad I've used that's comparable and larger would be the Skypad 3.0 (unless I can find another IKEA glass pad that is haha)
The link you provided doesn’t link to the item, anymore. Looks like IKEA in Canada has removed the product. Maybe it was on its way out to make room for new products. I did go to the USA website and they do have it listed. It’s selling for $41.99. It also says, “Last chance to buy”. So that also helped me confirm that this product is on its way out the door. I've emailed their product team and I'm trying to get the glass part of the tray re-branded as part of their LÅNESPELARE lineup, hopefully they do so and keep the price reasonable but we'll have to wait and see what happens...
Nice. I exclusively use glass mouse pads, the Cerapad KIN is atrocious. I am not a fan of the Skypad 3.0, I prefer the Skypad 2.0. The 3.0 is too thin. This cutting board looks about right, looks like it's similar to the 2.0, I'll have to get one to try out for a spare(Oh, I see your note about it being discontinued lol You can always get a sheet of frosted glass cut to spec, around 40-60 bucks or more depending on the size you want). Still have a backup Skypad 2.0 but it's nice to have multiple backups when you use a glass pad. :D
the fact that my bed table has a better surface for a mouse than a steelseries mousepad is why I know that things not made for it's use are often better than things made for it
That could absolutely work, the only issue would be the quality of the PTFE and how it interacts, generally having two of the same surface doesn't work too well, maybe if you used fabic skates or something? Would def be worth looking into though!
Hey man, i've send you a message on Instagram. Anyways, i've brought the pad today. I've been using it for a couple of hours. Very good pad wtf. Also its very controled for a glass pad. Im impressed. I need a sleeve and some dot skates. Couple of questions. I use a microfiber cloth to clean it, its ok? The surface that is for the mouse is the frosted one, aka the back of the serving tray. Not the front which is glossy? I had a hard time to notice the difference. Using a phylina s450 mouse, 3395 sensor, 1mm lod, all good. Thank you. Looking forward to your answers.
Hey, sorry for not getting back to you, I like never check IG so I totally missed it! To answer your questions: - You can clean the pad with a microfiber cloth or a soft sponge, just don't use anything too abrasive - You want to use the bottom frosted side of the pad, the front is untreated and glossy and will have a bunch of unnecessary friction on some mouse skates! - If you're looking for new skates I'd recommend getting the Xraypad Obsidian skates, those are the best on the market for glass pads and they feel amazing on the IKEA GLASS! - For arm sleeves I personally really like the Focus Pro Sleeve but any arm sleeve will work for this pad. People usually get sports arm bands off of Amazon and use those since they're very similar to "eSports" arm sleeves! Hope that helps! If you have any other questions let me know!
@@mel0nFPS kinda weird that it's very good for valorant. I ve tested it in apex legends and valorant and it's very good. I was expecting speed but it has a ton of control as well
How do you turn blixt (blick-st) into “black zit?” Also calling them “accidental design decisions” is pretty degrading considering the thought that went into this product. The edges are rounded to prevent people from hurting themselves. You can remove the handles so you can properly clean it should something spill and get in there, or should you need to fix the hold on the handles. Thus all edges need to be rounded.

I've been looking at some glass cutting boards actually! Texturing is very similar the only problem with the cutting boards is that they often have decals, or other designs that make them not ideal for a glasspad. Still looking though!
@@mel0nFPS the design/picture on a glass chopping board is usually stuck to the bottom so it’s coming through the glass, and idk what you mean about the decals because if you look at the ones I’ve seen (all the cheapest ones), they are just smooth glass, if they had decals on them you would not really be able to cut on them so I think you may be being confused by the photos, unless it’s just one I haven’t seen
@aminaa5824 Generally they’re on the bottom but it’s hard to tell with the product images, some to have surface decals but idk if they’re painted on or stickered. Guess I’ll find out when they arrive 😅

Love this DIY mousepad content! So innovative and creative. Would be awesome to see this continue.
Oh I'll be heading back to IKEA soon to see what other weird mousepads I can find 😂
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback about the pad! I'm glad you're enjoying it!
any updates?
@@diogy4351 used for three weeks, no scratch or damage at all! I've done a lot of damage with this but I need to say a thing: as all the glass pad, don't buy it if you don't have a perfect mouse control with your normal pad, like shaky aim. If you do, you won't benefit at all but get worse, cause there is lot of speed and less control compare even to a very fast cloth pad like the Raiden, might not fit your needs.
If you need other infos, feel free to comment back and i'll answer asap!
This is ordinary business practice, upcharging products because they're labeled "gaming" "professional" etc.
@@RitzyBusiness thank you for improving my understanding of Glass pads ! I feel my original comment was ignorant ! I hope to test for myself one day and experience the differences !
glass is not glass there are so many different compositions and structures.
Yes please try other IKEA glass pieces to see if they work.
the bestå shelves come with transparent frosted glass windows that are abt 60x64cm or something; also got one that is tinted dark, not sure if that one is frosted or not
much more expensive but if its as flat and consistent as this it could be a good choice for a larger pad
I'm gonna go to IKEA and look at other glass options since the tray is being discontinued, I'll make another video when I can get over there!
could you drop a link?
i cant seem to find it but could be because of my location
@@corso8944 I just went to find the link for you and it's gone! I think they discontinued it :(
the white powder is probably acrylic dust. its commonly used in storage of glass so there is a small gap between the sheets to make em easier to separate. otherwise the sheets sortof become massive suction cups.
Interesting, had no idea this was a thing, thanks for the info!
I'll be heading back to my local IKEA soon to find some other mousepads! Stay tuned!
Personally, I actually use an xp-pen drawing tablet. Built for smooth gliding, and cleans super easy, plus it has programmable buttons on one side, and sometimes, I even draw on it
Let me know if y'all wanna see me go back to IKEA to fine some other weird mousepads!
Yes Please !
I wanted to see you paint and install the rubber feet on the item in question.. that would have made a great video!
And then do the testing 🎉
The ability to easily remove and replace the handles is deliberate in a product intended for food serving. It makes thorough cleaning possible.
Insanely goated video, this is the kind of cool stuff that makes the hobby fun
Before this video I did not even know glass mousepads were a market to this degree. Now I want this glass mousepad...
Good to know they still have stock, been meaning to go back and get more!
I randomly came across this video. Stayed because this guy is attractive and ended up watching the whole video, what a strange best mouse mat
I found this nice to listen to. Where m from in the UK we talk really fast so this sounded natural
@@mel0nFPS The normal or wireless Areox 3? And do you happen to have any mice with the sensors that I commented that you could test with it?
It was the wireless Aerox 3. Unfortunately I don’t have any mice with the listed sensors, sorry!
Hero works as well i use a modded g305 on it hit an insane 180 switch in bf4 lol
I went to IKEA looking for the glasspad and it has been reincarnated as an LED pendant lamp
You can't expect them to meet all the demand. They're just entering the market. A small startup, if I'm not mistaken.
Got this "glass mouse pad" but I seem to be having issues with the tracking. When doing slow movements it tracks well, but when I do a quicker flick it basically does nothing, just moves a little. Any ideas of why this might be the case? The mouse is Rival 100
Hey! Sounds like the sensor is spinning out, have you tried lowering your LOD, sometimes higher LOD can mess up with glass surfaces.
@@mel0nFPS Thanks, this lead me to finding the fix. Used a sensor tape mod to lower the LOD.
You should have put 2 base pads in the middle. I can't believe you only put one. I'm outraged beyond words. You should think long and hard about what you've done.
Great video man. I subbed.
could you look at the ikea malm glass top? its available in the uk in 40x48 and is only 15 british pounds?
Going to look at that one soon! The glass isn't the same texture but I'll see if its close!
thanks for the approximately 7 seconds of actual footage showing the item being reviewed
how would you mod the ikea glass pad to make it better, or rather more like actual professional glass pads
Which product from cs Hyde? What thickness? Like a film or a solid sheet?
I am seriously considering getting this, but its a bit sad that literally no one else has tried to corroborate your findings yet
Would love to have someone else try it as well before i go and get one
Check reddit! A bunch of people were talking about this & they did their own testing!
It's annoying they don't sell this in the UK Ikea! Unless it's under a different name but can't seem to find it :(
Stumbled into this video a couple months after release and the product is gone! It's not even listed on the website anymore.
I ran into an issue where my hand wore the dye out of the fabric before any issues popped up with the surface itself.
Varmblixt translates into hot/warm lightning, personally I think Hot Lightning is an excellent product name for a glass mousepad.
i love how the VARMBLIXT is even named like some gamer device... XD
I'm curious what else exists in the various home goods stores, as etched glass seems to pop up here and there occasionally in a variety of products. There have to be occasional hidden gems, just like the Varmblixt tray, all over the place given how massive the home goods market is.
Oh more 100% exist, its just a matter of finding them 👀
You can get friction-free nylon tape that's supposed to be used for making wooden drawers slide better, but you slap a little on the bottom of your mouse and it works great.
I've heard scotch tape also works really well, I'll have to make a video on the tape skates in the future
ikea has some of the best glassware if you look at their vases and their glasses their glass production must be state of the art
How did you painted your pad, spray paint? What cares did you have for it not to spill over the surface? 🧐
I just spray painted the glossy side! I didn’t do this but I’d recommend putting painters tape over the edges of the top later to prevent paint from getting on it. If you do get paint on the top later you can just scrape it off buf better to be cautions unlike me 😅
I used to buy frosted glass sticker usually put on shower glass walls and stick it on my desk, so I have a custom size "mousepad"
Maybe you can buy a custom glass and put sticker on it yourself
VARMBLIXT = Warm Lightning in Swedish.
"Varm" is pronounced the same in English and Swedish. For "Blixt", imagine how you would pronounce the word "Blix" and the last two letters in "Sixt" and that's how you pronounce VARMBLIXT.
I just got a full sized desk pad and it's so good I can't even imagine why I would want a small glass mouse pad.
What kind of paint did you use for it? I wanna customize mine...this seems like a fun project for a random weekend.
Just a generic spray paint! I got it from a dollar store so it's not anything special or fancy just normal spray paint
Can't find the thin wallstoppers, can you provide a link to some similar ones of what you used? Thank you very much!
I just got a generic brand from HomeDepot, anything will work honestly, just make sure they're large enough to keep the pad anchored.
@@mel0nFPS Hmm ok, i'll try searching more. Found some on Ali express, not sure they're gonna be good or not. Also, this video is 1 year old, how is "the Pad" holding up?
@@franciscoazeredo6157You can just check a local hardware store, they're sold everywhere and they're pretty cheap!
Pad has held up really well, no performance issues or anything!
@@mel0nFPS Thank you for your quick feedback! Keep up the good work :D
@@mel0nFPS Ok, couldn't find this anywhere (with 2mm or close to it), but found something else. It's called Anti Slip tape, it's around 0.8mm thick. Do you think this could work, or maybe it's too thin/weak for it to hold properly?
Thanks for making this vid, I got it recommended and I ended up buying one it’s been great. Definitely check the box before you buy even the store staff recommended doing so. That dust you mentioned was all over mine at first I thought I scratched it or something but yeah it’s just dust. For anyone buying make sure you got some microfibres to clean and isopropyl alcohol. Great vid ❤
My viper ultimate doesn’t work on it. It doesn’t track / doesn’t detect any movement from the sensor. Any fixes
Gotta love Razer's 8k sensor... Had a similar issue with my Razer Cobra. Crank up the LOD and try to use a DPI below 1600. Unfortunately due to the sensor the viper/cobra is using it may just not work, those sensors are weird when it comes to glass pads.
@@mel0nFPS I seemed to fixed it, another thing is, is there like clear spots on the frosted side or like it just seems like it’s oily or sm I don’t know how to explain it but just wondering if that’s normal
around 20 years ago i bought an icemat for my first razer ball mouse, then optical sensors got more common and the first ones just couldnt handle glass mousepads, then a few years ago i reactivated the icemat, and still use it today. never got another mousepad, glass ftw!
It is an exceptional surface. I have no idea how or why, but definitely worth buying if you can find one.
do you have any update on how its held up after 7 months? i bought one a week ago and its genuinely amazing and cant thank you enough for the video
Hey! I recently broke out the pad again to test some skates and it's held up super well! Feels pretty much 1:1 with how it felt out of the box which is kinda insane honestly. If you feel any slow spots develop due to dead skin etc just wash the pad and it'll restore it to stock!
@@mel0nFPS thank you for the quick response, ur a beast!
Where are you from? I'm from Italy but i can't find any, if you have a link can you send me?
Black Lanespelare 36x44 is the end game mousepad. I have it since almost a year and it's just better with every day. It's crazy.
wondering if you may be able to take apart the frosted glass version of the GLASSVIK cabinet door (comes in 2 sizes, 60x64cm and 60x38cm) and use the glass panel from that? it's like $40 CAD and the 60x64cm size would be pretty amazing for a glass pad if the etching is as good as the VARMBLIXT
I’m looking into some other options from IKEA since it appears as if the Tray has been discontinued, I’ll post another video with my findings once I can go back!
I just came back from ikea . The GLASSVIK does not have the same soft finish as VARMBLIXT . I did bought VARMBLIXT. It’s good !
@@DA-qv7vf From the product photos It looked like it had a different surface, thanks for confirming though and I'm glad you're enjoying the pad!
Damn this glass feels good!
Really happy this video showed up on my feed, really interesting find! I slowed it down to 0.75x and you still sounded normal, almost 😅.
You can also buy textured 3d printer glass beds for cheap as well, comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes
Quite a few people recommended that! I’m looking into some possible options and I’ll do a video on any that I find work well!
Damn, you got so much info into 15 minutes. You've got my sub
I use a large ceramic floor tile with 4 rubber bands underneath for protection of the desk and avoid the tile moving around.
Ceramic tile is an interesting idea! I'll have to look into that
Can you try the IKEA MALM glass top, the size is larger and its cheaper.
Oh, I missed these! I'll 100% check this out and see if it'll work! Thanks for the tip!
thats not cutting a corner as much as that it is reducing chances of fracture in both build prosses as well as thermal growth of the glass
How does this compare to the pulsar pad?
I got the pad cheap after seeing this video and i really like the surface but it is a little bit too small in height. Whats a glass pad that comes the closest to the ikea pad but is a little bit bigger?
Do you mean the pad is too short or too tall?
@@mel0nFPS its too short. i need a little bit more vertical height
@@Daniel-ye1ss As I understand. The only pad I've used that's comparable and larger would be the Skypad 3.0 (unless I can find another IKEA glass pad that is haha)
after this video, I had it delivered today from an IKEA fulfillment branch and it works so smoothly w my stock g pro wireless lol
W! Glad to hear the pad works well!
@@mel0nFPS Plus the clear mousepad looks so good on my wooden desk!
how and what material did u use while painting that?
Reminds me back in the day of the 2001 Steelseries Icemat! when I was a teenager , playing counter-strike 1.6 mousepads were very fun and inovative!
Wonder what the mouse is going to be called? PIP SKWIIK? 😋
I'm sure someone else mentioned it, but my IKEA has a desk pad sized Lanespelare, in fact the keyboard i'm typing this on right now is sitting on one.
Yeah, it's on their site. They also have a floor protector, lol.
So, get yours while you can, people!
Yeah IKEA discontinued it like 3 days after my video came out and they hiked the price of the remaining stock lol.
I've emailed their product team and I'm trying to get the glass part of the tray re-branded as part of their LÅNESPELARE lineup, hopefully they do so and keep the price reasonable but we'll have to wait and see what happens...
they have a sale at the store in Nova Scotia they have 26 in stock for 8 bucks a piece might be able to call them
my country is so tiny that they still had the glass pad today lol, got it for 32$.
the fact that my bed table has a better surface for a mouse than a steelseries mousepad is why I know that things not made for it's use are often better than things made for it
what kind of white powder we talking about mel0n?
What about a sheet of Ptfe off of McMaster-Carr as a mouse pad? Ptfe + Ptfe = Zoom
That could absolutely work, the only issue would be the quality of the PTFE and how it interacts, generally having two of the same surface doesn't work too well, maybe if you used fabic skates or something? Would def be worth looking into though!
Fun fact, the name translates into warm lightning
To answer your questions:
- You can clean the pad with a microfiber cloth or a soft sponge, just don't use anything too abrasive
- You want to use the bottom frosted side of the pad, the front is untreated and glossy and will have a bunch of unnecessary friction on some mouse skates!

Can you make a long-form video review the HoneyWell QuietSet 8 in black?
Maybe one-day if I start a review channel for household items!
Having issues using it as a mousepad. Track is kinda spotty, should I be using the frosted side ?
Hi! Yeah only use the frosted side, the clear side will have sensor issues!
Are the batch 2222 different than the batch 2220’s I got the 2220 in the end I should have gotten both in hindsight
Based off of what I’ve seen from people who got them they’ve all been the exact same regardless of batch!
that is good to hear I'm glad i didn't buy a worse one by accident@@mel0nFPS
How do you turn blixt (blick-st) into “black zit?”
Also calling them “accidental design decisions” is pretty degrading considering the thought that went into this product.
The edges are rounded to prevent people from hurting themselves. You can remove the handles so you can properly clean it should something spill and get in there, or should you need to fix the hold on the handles. Thus all edges need to be rounded.
Product link in the description seems to be not functioning, did they discontinue the product?
Yeah IKEA pulled the product apparently, seems top be happening in some areas and not others, very unfortunate timing.
Just as I thought I found my endgame mousepad@@mel0nFPS
Sadly for me my VPMSE is not tracking properly on this glasspad but the GPX did it without any issues, idk what the problem is
Your mouse is the Viper Mini SE? (Didn’t recognize the short-form name)
@@mel0nFPS Yup.
@@mel0nFPS I think I solved it with some thinner skates, today I will find out for sure.
@@notkorii I was gonna say my DAV3 which uses the same Razer Focus Pro 30K had no issues must have been an LOD issue with skates or something.

@@mel0nFPS yup I tested yesterday the same thing with my dav3 wired, had no issues so I switched my xraypad skates to some tiger ice dots and it got fixed.(I hope so, still didnt have much time to test it just minutes)
Sorry idk anything about computers so maybe this is stupid, but to me this seems to be very similar to a glass cutting board (which you can buy quite cheap) except for the etched surface, maybe you could try one of those out?
Link to the rubber wall stopper?
I just got a generic brand from Home Depot, any rubber/silicone dot will work fine, just make sure they’re not too thick!
Would a tempered glass cutting board perform the same?
Depends on the surface texturing, a lot of the frosted ones I’ve tried are pretty bad due to inconsistencies, gaps or overall unevenness. Really is a bit of a lottery sadly
