Congrats, you do very thorough reviews. Like the exterior styling, but I am not a fan of big screens that look add-on and include climate functions, not my personal tastes. Keep on reviewing..........
I had a 2018 q50 red sport which is a big rival in the car culture, i got my 2023 m340i this weekend and i can say all though it hurts the m340i just beats the red sport in every aspect 😭😭 love my car
@@HawkeyeRides I watch a ton of reviews. You studied your ass off and then get to all the points and don’t spend any time BSing like so many do. I wish others would take lessons!
I dontn't understand giant touch screens, cant use a cell phone while driving but have to dive into a giant screen and menus while driving, fingerprints alone drive me nuts.
In the new BMWs it will look your rpm so I know the 760i (just finishing the review) is around 300 miles to unload the rpm. This one was already unlocked. It is one of the best systems I have seen for this so far.
This is on 2016 manuals but for the new gen, it is programmed in the vehicle to not let you hit high rpm’s. You can not drive at full capacity till it unlocks. It will show on the drive professional display and also tell you by miles on it when you can drive it normal 👍
@@HawkeyeRides my manual for the 23 m340i says 1200 miles for break in period you can go unload the rpm like you said whenever but it isn’t recommended to go over 5k before 1200 miles
@@HawkeyeRides yes too much black out there also I would spec the car out with non run flat tires to give a slightly softer ride. I had a 335 back in 2008 with runflats very rough ride
Every vehicle has a different exhaust note to make it unique to the model. BMW M Mgr, I know this is not a full M but he said the 2-3% of in cabin note is from ASD (active sound design) the rest is pure. Outside, 2 actuators change depending on the driving pattern, when you hit over 4k rpm they fully open. This is where you will hear that note which you are talking about.
@@HawkeyeRides Thank you for the response. I don't know what "note" refers to. I'm talking about the irregular backfire bang noises. They show up, noticeable, mostly in the video around 4:28 when the engine is first started and rev-ed.
@@kevinrush4411 It is designed by BMW like that. With the M Performance Exhaust it's even more noticeable. The majority of folks, myself included, really prefer it. The good thing is the M Performance is an upgrade option, and the standard exhaust is really almost a non-issue.
I recently bought a new 2023 BMW M340i xDrive. It is a very enjoyable and fun driving machine. Except..... I hate the controls on this irritating car. Everything that you need to do you have to do through the center screen and many options are buried several layers deep. It is a horrible, lousy, poor, very difficult and time consuming design. Whoever designed this horrendous controls should be fired. I wish I knew these designs fault as I would have never bought this car. It is my fault. A big shame on BMW. Check these controls before you buy this model. You have been forewarned. Check everything thoroughly. Hope BMW will redesign all the horrible and irritating controls for 2024.
@@HawkeyeRides By doing so BMW has made it very difficult, very dangerous and very time consuming for the driver to change controls and settings. This is very unwelcome and I dislike what BMW has done very strongly. I am so sorry that I bought this irritating car. Drives great but its controls and settings are atrocious.

Center seat belt is detachable and can be connected in the back window so that it’s totally out of the way.

Looks absolutely aggressive and good in BSM

Fantastic review great job my man… keep up the good work 💯🤘🏼

Hawkeye,
Could you put the window in window on the bottom right corner? I want to see the dashboard, not the glove compartment.
Which area on the video? If you could give me a time, I will correct for feature videos or edits.

Infiniti q50 had so much potential that Infiniti failed to capture. Only if they updated the interior, redesigned the exterior.

If money wasn’t a problem, the m5 👍
Sweet ride. MPE or stock exhaust?

Which do you think looks better for the M340 Sapphire Black or Skyscraper Grey ?
I like the skyscraper grey or Drovid Grey

Dravit Grey... N you need the bigger cooling system for it to go 155mph.
Am I the only one who hates hearing the car backfiring? I've noticed that other precision engines do not backfire.

Wait… twin turbo?.. it has a single turbo
It’s called a twin powered turbo which means it’s a twin-scrolled turbocharge engine, that’s what I said 👍
