"The president and his advisers have sought to enrich themselves at taxpayer expense; they have attempted to corrupt federal law-enforcement agencies to protect themselves and their cohorts, and they have exploited the nation’s darkest impulses in the pursuit of profit. But their ability to get away with this fraud is tied to cruelty." "Trump’s only true skill is the con; his only fundamental belief is that the United States is the birthright of straight, white, Christian men, and his only real, authentic pleasure is in cruelty. It is that cruelty, and the delight it brings them, that binds his most ardent supporters to him, in shared scorn for those they hate and fear: immigrants, blackVoters, feminists, and treasonous white men who empathize with any of those who would steal their birthright. The president’s ability to execute that cruelty through word and deed makes them euphoric. It makes them feel good, it makes them feel proud, it makes them feel happy, it makes them feel united. they're counting on jurors to be low down but all white people don't think the same...
Lol this comment is good.
My thoughts exactly. They are either stupid or helping !
The lawyer forget to talk about the cuts the dirt and the blood on his shirt too.
Fun fact: Arbery had every right to try and defend himself from two men with guns. The only person who's life was in danger, was Arbery's. Arbery posed no threat to them. Instead, it was the other way around. The same way Trayvon Martin had the right to defend himself from a grown man who was stalking him with a gun. Trayvon posed no threat to George Zimmerman that night, it was the other way around.
The sad truth is that thes people truly believe that Trump has given them the green light to act on their worst impulses. They are committing these heinousActs because they believe it will please Trump and other like-minded people. And it does.
"This isn’t incoherent. It reflects a clear principle: Only Trump and his allies, his supporters, and their anointed are entitled to the rights and protections of the law, and if necessary, immunity from it. The rest of us are entitled only to cruelty, by their whim. This is how the powerful have ever kept the powerless divided and in their place, and enriched themselves in the process."
"It is not just that the perpetrators of this cruelty enjoy it; it is that they enjoy it with one another. Their shared laughter at the suffering of others is an adhesive that binds them to one another, and to Trump."
"The president and his advisers have sought to enrich themselves at taxpayer expense; they have attempted to corrupt federal law-enforcement agencies to protect themselves and their cohorts, and they have exploited the nation’s darkest impulses in the pursuit of profit. But their ability to get away with this fraud is tied to cruelty."
"Trump’s only true skill is the con; his only fundamental belief is that the United States is the birthright of straight, white, Christian men, and his only real, authentic pleasure is in cruelty. And as long as he makes them feel that way, they will let him get away with anything, no matter what it costs them."

Zimmerman trial was different. Zimmerman followed Martin, but though that is creepy, it is not illegal. Martin then decided, to attack Zimmerman and started bashing his head repeatedly, only then did Zimmerman shoot him. Martin should not have done that
But reich wing ammosexuals want to shoot people.
Considering the defendants were acting like they were in the Jim Crowe era, this makes sense for their defense that they attacked a black man for being black in the South.

The defense lawyer was despicable
So was Amon
Fu
At least 2 of the defense attorneys were disgusting. Attorneys, plural.
All of them were.
This lawyer utterly destroyed her own reputation and I think condemned these defenders to the absolute worst outcome. That long black legs and dirty toenails comment was absolutely sickening to listen to about a body of a young man with a hole in his chest. The dehumanization did not work and backfired big time.
Arbury wasn't a man. A man doesn't steal and abuse women. He is a pos. Nothing more. He got what was coming to him.
@@SouthernGIGI Well, hopefully it'll be your turn soon.

She should be disbarred for that comment about his toenails.
Her and that goofy lookin attorney that continues to discuss “black” pastors being in the courtroom.
Boo hoooo!!!
But she won't because she's not lying
It is just my thoughts that the defense Attorneys know they are losing, it's clear as day so therefore yesterday again the defense Attorneys tried for a mistrial and failed and the mentioning of "long dirty toenails" last night was to provoke the outside gathers to rebel in anger to justify a mistrial needs to be thought out. It is best that the outside protesters just sit back and ignore her statement letting the justice fall upon the three killers.
@@Defender_of_men opp looks like Stephen is racist trash like the lawyer.
What do toenails have to do with anything
Toenails, ask anyone who trains and hasn't cut their nails what they look like. Is that their excuse, he was killed because of his toenails? MURDER! As a veteran, I can assure you, many of our brothers have died with dirty toenails.
That was so disrespecting of her.
Gee, why isn't someone being chased by men in trucks with guns thinking calmly and rationally and calling for more of their crazy asshole neighbors to come outside and watch? I dunno...panic, tunnel vision, surivival instincts because he was fucking terrified? People with no empathy analyzing someone's actions without taking a single moment to consider what that experience might be like.
wow good point
My mom was racist AF when I was growing up. She changed much later in life but I heard a lot of terrible stuff growing up that I believed until I got life experience & realized she was scared of the unknown & was just spouting stereotypes.
@Darrell Brooks is black she was duchy about being scared about the unknown? The ancestors bright then to the country, they should be scared of them inhumanity, scariest thing
What made her change later on in life? Did something happen?
Not my mother .,But one brother out of 6 brothers and I come back on him every time I hear such disgusting trash comming from that one.He has No right .,And mother would smash his mouth. She was 1/4 American Indian and we were taught to respect all people race creed or color.
It’s funny how it’s the opposite for many. I was always very anti racist growing up but ended up going to a college that was mostly all black. After being jumped, robbed, disrespected daily, but treated like I WAS the oppressor and they were victims, I became pretty racist in response. Since then I’ve graduated and moved on and realize that was just a concentrated very bad situation that doesn’t describe all black people and actively put down any racist. But with “wokeness” and CRT teaching people to think like those below human racists at that school, I’m beginning to worry for the country. If you have the mindset that white people are oppressors and back people are oppressed, you are by the far the greatest source of racism in this country and you have no one but yourself to blame.
Only time I've told my mom to stfu , idc who , it's disgusting to be this racist and xenophobic. Defense and defendants , f' em !
That statement was disgusting on every level.
There is absolutely no way in mfing HELL that any lawyer would even think about mentioning a while women’s “long dirty toenails”
I'm for the prosecution, but I think you meant to say a man's "long ....." The way they dehumanize women during trails for the last 35 years in unconscionable.
A normal professional lawyer wouldn't mention anyone's dirty toenails. Don't make it a race thing. She was ignorant and disrespectful. She will pay a price every time she goes out in public. The public knows her face and she will regret saying those words for the rest of her life. Not surprised seeing the male defense lawyer grasp at straws mentioning "what if Colonel Sanders and white hooded masked people entered the courtroom". LOSERS!!!
It's a shame how they tried to turn the table on that young man it's despicable and she needs to be called on by the ethics community

It's incredibly evil. He wasn't doing anything animal-like. If he had torn a little girl apart with his teeth like a werewolf, then you can comment about his dirty toenails. But that was not what happened. Shame on her.
Were pictures of his toenails shown to the jury? Did a witness testify about his toenails? How is that relevant to this case? All the defense attorneys might as well put on KKK hoods.

Is that allowed in US-Courtrooms? That statement alone is against four laws in Germany. Insult, denigration of a death person & defamation in front of millions and rabble-rousing. First degree and in a Courtroom. Lawyer license at risk.
Unfortunately in America lawyers aren't liable for lies in court.
Unfortunately, the Freedom of Speech is taken very literally in the United States. Libel and slander have extremely steep hoops to jump through to get a conviction, let alone insult, denigration of the deceased, and defamation whilst in the court room. The U.S. judicial systsm f**ked up.
Is this how far the US has sunk and how little it cares for human life if its judged on how clean his toenails are….
Trying to paint an innocent person as responsible for his own death...outrageous
If this verdict goes the wrong way, I'm afraid of what will happen. Vigilante justice cannot become this country's norm. I shake my head to think we are in the 21st century but things are going back to the days of the Wild West. It is disgusting.
What's the alternative then? Because if this case "Goes the wrong way..", then it's proof that vigilante justice IS ACCEPTABLE in the eyes of the law, depending on the race of the person committing it. Kneeling doesn't work. Voting only works if your district isn't gerrymandered. Praying hasn't been effective for over 400 years. So, exactly what is the answer?
Wisconsin already upheld vigilantism last week. It's already a legal precedent now.
