I think the officers offeler should be able to parry all melee
I think lag will make it harder for the soldier to party rather then make it easier and remember in a normal game 99.9% of the time people are gonna be shooting you with you know guns so I think that it will not be broken but the sword will definitely be an interesting medevial mode weapon
The lunar Niners would Gain a higher jump hight and the apollo pack when you build up rage and use it you will gain low gravity on you and maybe for teammates as well ?
I was thinking that, but it'd be more of a dick move really. The apollo pack could be a mix between the banner and the backup, so minicrits while airborne, +100% jump height/slower fall speed, and slight damage resistances similar to the tide turner. It's hard to think of unique stats that mesh well with the moon theme. There's obviously low gravity, but other themes could be science, rockets, Poopy Joe maybe (horde of monkeys?), rocks, etc....
The madman’s mortar sounds a lot like the rocket launcher that hit the scout at the start of “Meet the Medic”
Plinking is generally described as recreational shooting, usually with cheap guns
Okay, I _LOVE_ the idea of engaging a demoknight in glorious melee combat as a soldier. What I'd suggest for the sword would be the standard "slower draw, no crits, longer melee range" of sword-type weapons, with the parry mechanic being it's special shtick
Weapon concepts
"The Fallout" (Reference to the fatman in fallout 4)
Slot: Primary
Pros:
+200% damage bonus
+200% blast radius
Cons:
+200% self damage taken(Essentially kills you if used up close)
-75% clip size
-50% ammo capacity
-Explosives can damage allies and enemies
-Projectiles travel in an arc
"The voice of command"
Slot: Secondary
Pros:
+Upon deployment player and nearby allies are immune to enemy knockback, are set to maximum overheal(without their overheal depleting during the duration), and recieve a 10% damage boost.
Cons:
-Replaces secondary
(essentially an amalgamation of all the other banners rolled into one but provides lesser effects of each individual banner themselves, such as less protection than the battalions, less healing support of the conch, and less damage boost than the banner)
Madman’s mortar: upon hitting a target with an explosion right after hitting them with a direct hit the explosion will minicrit.
-75% clip size
+20% damage bonus
Projectiles travel in an arch
Point mans plinker:
-90% pellets
100% accuracy
+650% damage
Let that sword parry projectiles too. First one bobs it in the air in front of you, second swing sends it where you're aiming with minicrits stacked onto it. If you miss the second swing and you're not out of the way, it crits you. Maybe have it launch in a lazy arc rather than whatever means it was going previously to differentiate further from airblast.
Madmann’s mortar could have an arm time after sticking into the ground or walls and have minor damage on hit without exploding, kinda like a different sticky bomb.
Sure Footer Stats:
+30% Melee Damage (84.5 for Stock, 63.7 for Disciplinary)
-40% Self Damage
-65% Fall Damage
-60% Primary Ammo Reserve (8 for stock, 24 for Rocket Jumper)
>Has reverse damage fall-off, up to as much 50% more damage at longer ranges and down to as little as 25% damage at point blank.
>Travels in an arc
+20% faster projectile speed
+50% faster reload speed
-75% clip size

An idea for the Officer's Offaler could be..
The Frontmann's knife
+25% more damage
+5% movement speed
+Increases attack power when using a taunt.
-35% Slower Swingspeed.
-15% HP when equipped.
Another idea for the soldiers sword
+can perry attacks from any Melee by holding down m2
-every perry reduces the swords damage starting at 100 and goes down 10 every perry
+can perry sniper headshots at the cost of 90 less damage
-once your Melee does 10 damage you may not perry In till you pick up a health pack
here are some ideas for soldier:the third of July and Fourth of July.
ToJ:
upsides: fires 3 rockets
rockets pierce and stick to what they hit
downsides: each rocket deals a third of the damage of the stock
rockets spread out
one shot per reload
three second fuse
FoJ is the same as ToJ, but four rockets, four second fuse, and damage is split into quarters
The mortar rocket launcher has a flaw, people would quickly find spots where they can spam rockets from and annoy everybody in the other team
A melee weapon where for every kill, you get more ammo in your primary with the downside of loosing 50 health on kill
Combine with airstrike and boom!
More ROCKETS!!!!!!
maybe instead for every hit your primary gets refilled by 1 rocket but it holsters slower

@@Thatsaspicymemeball that would have some wild interactions with the beggar's bazooka. just adding a rocket to your ammo reserve would work though, maybe 2 rockets on a successful kill, with something like 15% damage vulnerability on the wearer
@@junipermcclary1645 I get the beggars point but nobody would use a melee so situational. why wade into combat with a melee and presumably no rockets and damage vulnerability when you could retreat to an ammo box. if it's a big fight there will be death dropped boxes strewn everywhere. you could just make the reloading melee unpairable with the beggars, like how the bootlegger and sticky launchers are
I think in order for the first weapon to not just be demoman’s pipe launcher on soldier. It should have an explode on impact to ground or player instead of a fuse time. It would make rocket jumping consistent with soldier. The only main difference would be the aim style.
Maybe some extra range (how far the mortar shells go, but not necessarily amping the projectile speed. Maybe they could travel at a higher arc similar to real mortars). More self-damage but lesser fall off and ammo clip size could give it more of a long range role. It would fit a niche and improve on a capability that soldier isn’t really good at without having to rocket jump and get close.
Alright, my idea for soldier knight. Have a parry function on the shield that, when used correctly, works like a pyros air blast and does about 25 damage up close. There should also be a recharge on the parry. Another idea I've been having is allowing it to block, but it breaks after 750 damage or something like that
Artillery:
A primary that has a clip size of 1, could be aimed by holding the button, and deals way more damage than the stock rocket launcher. You could not rocket jump with this.
for 3, I'd say -50% damage. Right click to guard. The guard would affect any melee in a 10 degree range.
TF2 Classic has a rocket launcher called The R.P.G. its rockets actually do travel in an arc , but you can only have one loaded at any time.
An interesting idea for a weapon ( not sure which class it would be for either heavy or engineer possibly ) is a heavy tower shield while it slows you to a crawl it give a lot of resistance to damage and knock back
The sword should be equipped by both, the soldier and the demoman...and when they come face to face (as enemies ofc) it should be a neutral fight with no harm, and you could only hear the loud CLING and CLASHING noises.

Point man’s Plinker is probably the most cursed thing I’ve ever seen, it’s a combination of a M1 Garand, Kar98K and a Mosin Nagant, probably not cursed than the stinger (makeshift LMG made with M1 Garand, Browning machine gun, Bren)
Instead of a set destination time What if madmans mortar had reverse damage? If you shoot from afar you'll either do more damage increase the explorat on radios. It would be harder be harder too aim at further distances thanks to its trajectory but as a reward You'd be able to do large damage to groups from afar. As downsides the rocket could make a Whistling noise to let you know if you're close, You'd also be less reliable upclose and would need a secondary to cover that weakness. The idea is You'd be essentially a sniper but instead of using precision to pick off individual targets You'd bombard groups of enemies and force them to take shelter. You'd maybe be able to use it decently at mid rang if you have too but if your on a choke heavy map You'd be better off using other typical solder weapons.
Let the sword parry any melee weapon as opposed to just swords. Maybe make it so that parrying disarms the enemies of their melee weapons for a few seconds or until they actively pick it up or run to a supply cabinet.

The rifle would be a crazy subclass for soldier. Paired with one of the banner or something

May I say for one this is based off some rifle during the Vietnam war, I assume M14 but not 100% sure.
I find it a shame that it wasn’t modelled after the M1 Garand, just because most people know what it is or what it looks like.

A kar98k doesn’t have an external magazine, it has a internal magazine much like the M1 Garand.
lDessertl the m1 grand didn’t have that large of a bayonet stud where as the kar98 did

Reason why i said it looks like a M14, but if it was possible would of been nice if it was a M1 Garand with a bayonet.
The pointmans plinker is something I wanted as a secondary for Solly for years. He’s the embodiment of WW2 combat, give him an M1 Garand!
Gripes/thoughts
The mortar sounds like demo as others have said. The only way imo to make the idea work would be by having you setup and shoot without being able to move, like an actual mortar. Give it a larger explosion radius to make up for it. Would make you a huge sniper target but kinda equals out.
The rifle. No. Just no. Too close to sniper. If it did 50 damage itd be ok but it'll have to do at least 70 to be a shotgun sidegrade, which is too close to a semi charged sniper bodyshot.
The sword idea is cool but I think tf2s melee and hitreg isn't good enough. Would only work like 20% of the time.
The bird's eye bomber looks like if you click alt-fire you shoot a rocket out of the pipe facing downwards allowing for ez rocket jumping
I think the soldier's shield should give him some kind of rocket jumping bonus
I think the Mortar's projectiles should explode when they're hit the ground, because that is how does a real mortar work.
Id like to think of a secondary like a coca cola bottle or some kind of american drink soldier likes.
He drinks it like its a banner.
The rage would be charged by either doing 250-350 dmg to be used.
When he drinks it he gets a speed boost and 15-33% reload
speed.It can also be thrown any time with 10 ammo (like flare gun ammo) and does a base damage of 50 and bleed with 4 ticks and a dmg of 4 per tick but it resets rage to 0. The only nerf is that you cant share it cuz soldier obviously drinks it only for himself. (Bonus, Should this be added?) It can be thrown with mb2 like the sandvich if the rage is full like a small hp pack
For the first weapon, a suggestion I have is stat like the double-donk of the loose cannon.
For the Madman's Mortar, I think more damage to buildings would be apt.
Madman mortar is basically the rpg of team fortress 2 classic

Some can be quiet op with no random crits downside, some could be balanced or overpowered still with the NRCs downside, and some are balanced or either terrible and used for gimmicky fun.
The first, in my opinion, would probably be called that Trenchmanns Mortar

On the note of soilknight ( i refure to him as "going warrior" though, using jumper/liberty, conch, an half-zatoichi ) i would really like to see a full medival loadout for each class
Heavy reciving a worn primary that increases health and damage resistance
Soilder with a wizard staff of "magic missle" over his shoulder that dose no knockback with rechargeable ammo and boots of high jump
Pyro with fire staff as primary that has combustion instead of airblast but makes him weak to melee damage and/or reduced health
Medic with healing hands "medigun" thats lets him have two beams that let him pass on his passive healing and he gets a bit more health and a stronger passive healing
Crazy ideas like that, i want to give examples for other classes, but i feel as though there wont be enough room, the usual premice letting them be more self sustaining while still being able to contribute like, similar to gunlsinger but medival/futal/renesauces/fantasy
I love the concept of demoknight and i want to pass a similar deeling over to the other classes to offer them a level playing field in a demoknights world of medieval mode and in all other regards
Idea for sniper
B.O.Y rifle
50% more damage
Headshots give 2 ammo back
50% slower reload speed
20% less ammo
Every 5 shots your gun malfunctions
25% slower charge speed
(The model can be based off the boys anti tank rifle)
The 'pliker' is a Karabiner 98k or the same rifles the Germans used for WWII. The soldier is an American soldier who seems to have been or previously been placed in WWII. I don't think he'd be useing a German rifle. Maybe a Springfield would suit him better or an M1-Garand.
How about this
Name : the flying dutchmann
Weapon discription : an mini anchor with a chain around on your arms
Weapon stats : lower your swingspeed , damage , and deployspeed. but your altclick will drop the anchor and give the enemy 150 damage on player who got hit by it. and if you hold the altclick you will drop down too and take more fall damage by doing it
you know how theres a rocket launcher that can only do direct hits? how about one with only splash damage.

rockets do way less damage.
rocket travel slower.
bigger splash damage hitbox.
splash damage is constant(does not decrease despite how far you are from initial explosion.
I think the madman's morter would be better with the opposite of what happens with rockets now. So you deal more damage the farther away you are from an enemy. Or I guess how far you are from the rocket
For number 1 it should be named "The Idiots sniper"
Idea for the secondary's name: The Grenadier's Garand or Rocketeer's Rifle, maybe something like that would be fun to see

i think that the sword should have longer range and give bleed effects, in exchange for less damage on hit and a slower swing speed

What about rocket with like homing missiles, it does alot of damage ( this is self inflicted if wanting to rocket jump) it locks on to the person ur aiming close too, the rocket jumps would leave u with like 3 health combined with fall damage so rocket jumping isn't the most effective strategy. And yes , if airblast, the rocket will lock onto you, and you'll be left dead or with low health. It'd have to have a cool down tho, so u can't rocket spam.
The sword fight doesnt have nothing more than downsides, you can parry demomans yeah but in other situation is bad.

If it's a sword for historical recreation purposes it may be blunt... but then why would you give the soldier that when the half-zatoichi is imaginatively a real sharp one?
Ok, let's say this: less damage and attack speed but upon successfully blocking a melee attack from any source, you can immediately retaliate (within 5 seconds) with the damage debuff inverted to a buff. No random critical hits but blocking crits guarantees you a crit (now apply this against a shield charge, mantreads to reduce knockback and you can shut down a demoman in a skillful duel)
@@cdgonepotatoes4219 If you're asking why you would give a soldier a fake sword when he has a real one, I'd imagine for the same reasons soldier and demo were given a piece of wood with a nail in it.

you could not hold a firing mortar, even small 70mm mortars would shatter your shoulder or throw you, so maybe it should have a metric crapton of recoil

I feel like if soldier got a rifle it would just have to be an M1 Garand. Plus, all of sniper's rifles are bolt action already. If an M1 was added I would probably use it all the time just cause it's an M1 (and for that ping)

And to me, the idea of a slower firerate is kind of dumb, because with a shotgun it makes sense that is it slower because it has a pump. If the secondary, or dare I say, a primary, it would have a faster firerate, higher damage, but you won't have the spread of a shotgun. Having no shotgun spread is a downside is because it requires you to be more accurate for the infantry rifle, instead of generally aiming in the direction of a person.
Also, the reason I say it could be a primary instead, is because what if we had a Garand with a grenade launcher attatchment? Only one grenade shot, sure, but that's still an explosive.

That would break the game, with a weapon like that you are deleting one of the biggest downsides of the soldier, his slow movement speed, with a rifle a injured soldier could snipe you without taking any risk.

Rockets travel in a parabolic arc and have a 1 second arm time
EDIT: 1/2 second arm time, as pointed out in replies 1 second is a long time on the battle field.
Half second fuse, a whole second is a pretty long time in a fight

I think if they can have an alt fire and have it do a melee attack and turn it into a bayonet (rifle with a blade on the end) but then the carrier can not deploy melee weapons . Then you can call it “The Blaster’s Bayonet”

Me, a demo main who takes immense pleasure in killing engies: But this, does put a smile on my face
PDA: Perimeter Protector
Replaces the Sentry with a Interceptor. This may shoot down projectiles qs well as humans.
The Interceptor is a sentry with one gatling that fires extremely quickly. It has massively increased ammo capacity, and some added range, but is slightly more fragile, and is somewhat less accurate.
The weapon has a patrol mode, and a interception mode. Patrol will prioritize enemies, interception will prioritize projectiles.
Specifics:
The weapon is not instant. It can take a little time to shoot down projectiles, and its not 100%.
In addition, upgrades only boost HP and gun accuracy.
Variation: Pintsize Protectors
Small "sentry" guns equipped with pistols. 100HP and 75 rounds of ammo with a short range, but five can be placed at once. They're also cheap.
Upgrading will double its firepower, but it may only get to Level 2.
