As a person that loves editing, this video is amazing!!! I truly do have admiration and inspiration for people like you that spend countless hours working on a couple of seconds of video so let me reassure you that this video was totally worth it. I mean hell, even the thumbnail looks absolutely gorgeous! Not to mention that I am absolutely engorged in the concept of high skill ceiling movement in video games. I know I sound like I'm fan boying right now but seriously, thank you so much for this video! ❤
dude this video is super well made, i can see the amount of time and effort you have put into this. thanks for spending hours to make something i can watch for 10 minutes.
This was quite the video that I didn't expect to enjoy. The relatable feelings and humor just hit every spot perfectly, definitely a sub well deserved 🔥
This is like an unreal high-quality video for 10k subs, do you have any specific editing guides that you used to learn how to edit like this? Would love to practice and come anywhere near what you're doing! Congrats in advance when you hit 100k subs by the end of the year with this quality
Thank you! I appreciate it. And no, no guides. Mostly just learning new things every video, even the one I'm working on right now has a bunch of new techniques in terms of edits. I think of something I wanna make then search up how to make it. Just do that over and over and over again for 4 ish years I'm sure that'll help. And I spose I also take quite a lot of inspiration from youtubers I like so do that too.
Lucio is the only movement character in Overwatch which is not oversimplified, fun to learn, rewarding and has the ability to dart from one end of the map to other.
First time viewer here, in a relationship you’ve gotta learn what you’re willing to sacrifice and what you’re not, plus what you want your partner to sacrifice, and have open and honest communication with the partner to see if your priorities match well enough to avoid resentment in the long term
With the eye-catching thumbnail and title, I honestly expected this to have more views than it does right now. What a great video! It entertains the whole way through, leaving no dead space. It feels like every second of the video has a purpose, and the editing really helps with that.
Slight correction: Rocket Jumping was an intended mechanic in Quake and Doom of all games. One of the secrets in Doom was designed around you needing an invulnerability sphere and a rocket's splash knockback. Other than that, video's well put together
@@fnutek3720 i just feel like you have to be lying to yourself if you think the developers didn't realize that you could move yourself faster with rockets. what an outlandish take
@@dsdom2 ? You couldnt even jump. And the way you closed gaps were with z40 or z50. It was absolutely not intended in doom 1 lmao. 1 rocket would instakill you and give you a 0.1 second faster time if you were speedrunning unless you were closing a gap (theres none of that in doom 1, only in doom2 where its not intended lol)
I don't see anyone talking about how FUCKING SMOOTH the transition from practice to real gameplay at 1:52 is, as well how visually relevant it is to the topic at hand of practicing something and then putting it into a real game. That must have been a lot of work just to get that to work, let alone basically frame perfect. Huge props dude. Edit: holy fucking shit the entire video is that good too subbed. amazing informational video that is consistently visually and audibly interesting.
Phara is not quite as bad as you make her look. She can rocket jump with a timed left click on the ground + boost and end up way higher. She can also blast jump (boost + blast), propelling her very fast forwand and upward.
I seriously thought bro was like a 1m+ subs channel, the editing alone in this video is sick enough to deserve it but couple that with insightful commentary and a down to earth guy, you did great, please make more i want more more more
Fun fact that Creem missed in the video: The first instance of rocket jumping was in the first DOOM game, but it's purpose was for forwards momentum, not upwards momentum!
Great video dude! I just started playing Overwatch and I agree that explosive jumping in that game isn't that good / is very limited, but other movement mechanics are so great, maybe you could do a video on those.
@@CreemSmile to put in the box as well "take a look at lucio". He's without much doubt the most advanced hero in terms of movement thanks to his wallride, speed and amped speed, and offers a nice control along with the most reliable way to have speed in that game
The deceleration rate in OW can be altered and it currently exists on Lucio. I feel like there shouldn't be a deceleration rate at all. Imagine Cassidy rolling off an edge and maintaining that momentum until he lands, or Soldier 76 jumping out of sprint and maintaining that momentum until he lands. Pharah and Junkrat would benefit so much from maintaining velocity at a cost of losing health from jumps and having some of their kit reworked. I hate how OW handles this, but I also love Lucio's movement. Terrific video by the way.
Ohhh that's a really good point. I feel like what you said would be really great for the game ngl. Just add that little bit more depth. And thank you, I appreciate the kind words :)
Editing fit perfectly with my rapidly declining attention span. Glad to hear it was fun making this, the last thing I want is for videos to start becoming a chore so make what you want my guy and hope that the algorithm does something. Also if you hit share and copy link to boost you are a cool guy, you become a true creemer
Man, imagine an Overwatch where Pharah's jump jets launch her in the direction she's looking, and Junkrat's mines blast him directly away rather than just up.
pharah feels a lot better if you shoot the ground when you press shiftto boost you further in the air, also they did improve it for ow2 by giving it more direction
Absolutely massive props for this amazing video! What makes me even happier is the usage of raving rabbids tv party music. But yeah, I'll keep swininging around to see what's cookin'!
As a Pharah main in Overwatch since 2016, you have no idea how satisfying it was when Wrecking Ball launched years later, with actual movement techs, velocity that carries over, and one of the highest skill caps in the game. Movement is so fun in video games, and Ball's whole kit is dependent entirely on how well he can move and retain speed. He just feels like such a step up from every other character except maybe Lucio.
the reason why they dont let junk and phara move like that is because they would be way to good, which is why they let lucio and doom keep their movement
That's the thing for me. It's a good video and really interesting, but for overwatch specifically if you gave Junk & Phara control the way he's saying: distance, & speed. Would absolutely make the characters "too good". A good pharah or junk is already tough, almost untouchable sometimes. But thats the thing, sometimes. Their limitations in movement give them balance in a game that's already busy enough visually and mentally.
@@itzplant3196 yeah, overwatch is different from team fortress. comparing team fortress to overwatch makes about as much sense as comparing cod to battlefield. they are similar enough to compete with eachother but not enough to compare to eachother
Do yourself a favor: Boot up Titanfall 2. Use Northstar client. Make a custom attrition game with the no speed cap mod and halved self damage mod. Equip the EPG, satchel charge, and grapple. Use the smart pistol boost (you're not fighting players so it's ok). Go onto any of the large maps I personally prefer angel city (especially with night city mod). Maybe also use the speedometer mod to really appreciate your raw speed. Have fun zooming around at mach fuck, using your smart pistol to remove the aim requirement and focus on raw speed.
This makes me think about the sliding/surfing/dashing and then jumping to launch yourself up in video games. Like when you use Moira's 'Fade' and you jump to give yourself that big boost forward or like Sojourn's 'Power Slide'. It's also similar to when you use Widowmaker's grapple and press space to jump right before you reach your location and it just boosts you towards the direction you're going. Also more on the surfing part, like Lucio's movement, or counter strike surf.
you can do a horizontal explosive jump as junkrat if you jump and wait until you are falling downwards, to blow the mine up. I think you downwards velocity cancels out some of the upwards velocity. You can jumpscare people with this very easily, but when that is said even though you are not as easy of a target as you would be if you just blew up your mine as you were going up in your jump or god forbid while you are at the apex of your jump, due to the amazing and wonderful overwatch game engine (or whatever it is), you are still left hanging in the air for a little while as free pickings for and character like hanzo, widow, or ashe. This is why you have to make sure that your target is unaware of your whereabouts at all times upping the jumpscare facter significantly. You can achieve this by simply dedicating alotted periods of time to just jumping around randomly and maybe spam choke, from wherever you might have ended up, a little, and you enemies will subconsciously being considering you to not be a threat to them, at which point you can position yourself to do a horizontal jump directly into their support and double donking at least one, before you make your escape and do it all over. Note if you decide to avoid being detected by your enemies by crouch walking around the map, you will almost without fail bring dishonor and disgrace upon yourself, as a result of this cowardly act.
okay dude, cmon, you didnt need to go that hard on the OST for Raze, but you did it anyway and I FUCKING LOVED IT, Crabulon theme started playing i got hyped with the video.
While I do understand this video was specifically about movement using an explosive, you cant exactly shit on overwatch movement when DPS Doomfist, Lucio, and tracer exist.
Pharah has a "real" rocket jump. There's a somewhat more skilled rocket jump you can do as pharah where you you shoot a missile downward, fall onto it, and then activate jump jet at the same time that the missile explodes. It is still limited to her jump jet's set vertical angle, but drastically increases her velocity. Pretty much every pharah player uses this constantly.
Nostalgia for Quake, I remember learning my first rocket jump and playing Team Fortress 1 (The mod for quake). Another mechanic that no game since has ever had is the BFG slide, in Quake 3 arena Excessive plus specifically. The devs of that mod changed the BFG to a barrage of unpredictable grenades, so you cant use it like the rocket launcher for a basic rocket jump, however, you can use it against angled walls and ceilings, which then has it propel you in a sliding manner, which you have to semi calculate like billiards through trial and error to find useful slides, often through several rooms in the blink of an eye. It also allowed for a single BFG "jump" using the edge of a platform in Q3ctf4 (space map ctf) to get from one flag to the other. Which is impossible using any of the other propulsion weapons (rockets, grenades which explode on impact, rail jump, plasma, and lightening climb which worked on walls of a space map) I hope one day Excessiveplus is revived or a new game built around it's mechanics, physics, and the way the engine ran happens. Until then, I suck it up and play Quake Champions, as Quake 3 E+ has nearly no playerbase and Quake live feels terrible to me, as it did when it first came out and I just stuck with Quake 3 Excessiveplus.
After watching this video, I expected nothing less of 100k subscribers on this channel, but to my surprise, it's only at less than 10k. I have genuinely enjoyed watching and would love more content like this.
Subscribed because of the production quality of this video, how are you only at 10k? I was entertained all throughout, and learned a bunch about various topics. Awesome video!
Have you seen WarFork? It's a free shooter game on steam that is ENTIRELY BUILT AROUND PRECISE ROCKET LAUNCHING AND HAS WAYS TO PRESERVE MOMENTUM AND BOUNCE OFF WALLS!!!! Seriously look up a few vids abt it it's so good.
as someone who used to play junkrat quite a bit in overwatch i have to say something, if you put a mine at the start of the match right at the spawn door, then as soon as the game started you detonate that, and do 2 midair explosions for extra distance, you could get halfway across the map and usually to the point if it was a control point map, which allowed you to get an advantage on the enemy team
First of all, great video! Its always crazy to see such high end production on a criminally underrated channel, especially one that makes content revolving around probably the most fun aspect of several games! I fell in love with movement in games after watching cs:go surf videos waaay back in 2014, but since my computer was a literal calculator that could only run roblox on 4 fps, I didnt really have many options. I upgraded to a laptop my grandmother got which made so much difference. I ended up playing surf mods on roblox and grinding for thousands of hours, now with a pretty decent skill cap for any movement related game. Recently in 2021, I got a gaming computer and since then I've dumped thousands of hours (again) into several games, trying to perfect movement. Most notably; Raze satchels and Jett's speed in valorant, Lucio's insane capabilities on overwatch, hitting consistent bhops in cs:go (peaked at supreme), and most recently the insanely addictive nature of Neon White, probably the best indie game Ive played in the past couple years. Seeing this kind of representation from a generally overlooked part of core game mechanics is always a blessing! Keep up the great content man, and I would definitely recommend giving Neon White's speedrunning and peculiar movement a look. The intricate time skips are absolutely crazy, even further beyond considering the game creators pushing for the fastest achievable times by adding secret rewards!

Wow. This video is masterfully edited. Great work!
"i love editing!" 🤖
dude this video is super well made, i can see the amount of time and effort you have put into this. thanks for spending hours to make something i can watch for 10 minutes.
Thank you as well! Means a lot
@@CreemSmile sweet! you might be my inspiration now
unreal more like quake amirite
I will say, there are some interesting techs with Junkrat's mines that people don't realize until they play him a lot.
Lucio is the only movement character in Overwatch which is not oversimplified, fun to learn, rewarding and has the ability to dart from one end of the map to other.
You forgot about doomfist
@@martonnagy8939ehhh not as much, he uses his movement for damage and attacking more than getting from point A to point B
@@lonkbonk5859 this is true about his rocket punch, but the pros use his slam for movement.
fake fake! (real)
Yeah and pharah’s isn’t even supposed to be a rocket jump, because she literally can rocket jump
Great vid! The editing was great and including ultrakill into some parts was nice too
One of the most videos for the most movement tech ever. Liking your vibe mate; keep up the clean work
Thank you! Love your work as well, big fan.

First time viewer here, in a relationship you’ve gotta learn what you’re willing to sacrifice and what you’re not, plus what you want your partner to sacrifice, and have open and honest communication with the partner to see if your priorities match well enough to avoid resentment in the long term
Fun fact in OW you can double mine jump as junkrat it gives you control over height and direction, you can go over buildings and turn corners
With the eye-catching thumbnail and title, I honestly expected this to have more views than it does right now. What a great video! It entertains the whole way through, leaving no dead space. It feels like every second of the video has a purpose, and the editing really helps with that.
This video goes so hard; you absolutely nailed the execution and I'm a sucker for good sound effects
Keep up the good work! ❤
Slight correction: Rocket Jumping was an intended mechanic in Quake and Doom of all games. One of the secrets in Doom was designed around you needing an invulnerability sphere and a rocket's splash knockback. Other than that, video's well put together
Not in doom one. So its still an unintended mechanic. ID Software just saw it and designed it into doom 2
@@fnutek3720 exit leading to the secret level in episode 3 in mount erbius is accessed via rocket jump.
The best feeling in OW is playing junkrat and placing a mine on the door before the game starts and triple jumping
Edit: holy fucking shit the entire video is that good too
subbed. amazing informational video that is consistently visually and audibly interesting.
Best movement shooter of all time IMO has to be Titanfall 2.
Phara is not quite as bad as you make her look. She can rocket jump with a timed left click on the ground + boost and end up way higher. She can also blast jump (boost + blast), propelling her very fast forwand and upward.
2024 they added horizontal jump for pharah
i swear i thought this channel had 1 million or more subs
the quality of the vid is just AMAZING
THE TRANSITION AT 1:58 WAS SO SMOOTH WOAHH
The ultra kill coin sound at 8:50 perfection
I seriously thought bro was like a 1m+ subs channel, the editing alone in this video is sick enough to deserve it but couple that with insightful commentary and a down to earth guy, you did great, please make more i want more more more
my brain hurts right at this part from the transition 1:53
1:58 AH THAT TRANSITION WAS SOO SMOOOOOTH
Fun fact that Creem missed in the video: The first instance of rocket jumping was in the first DOOM game, but it's purpose was for forwards momentum, not upwards momentum!
Great video dude! I just started playing Overwatch and I agree that explosive jumping in that game isn't that good / is very limited, but other movement mechanics are so great, maybe you could do a video on those.
Not a bad idea, I'll keep that in the ol brain.

Pharah would be broken if she had more velocity
pharah’s movement is slow and predictable by design
Editing fit perfectly with my rapidly declining attention span. Glad to hear it was fun making this, the last thing I want is for videos to start becoming a chore so make what you want my guy and hope that the algorithm does something.
Also if you hit share and copy link to boost you are a cool guy, you become a true creemer

damn the transition at 1:58 . TOO GOOD
If you hadn't shown the Subway Surfers gameplay at the end, I would have needed to play it by myself, while watching Tiktok.
you're wrong, the best movement tech is titanfall 2's airstrafed grapple slinghot. change my mind

ur so talented at what you do. amazing editing, sound mix and video arrangement. keep goong and ull be huge i promise 💕
Another example of explosive jumps is windbombing in Zelda Breath of the Wild. It's a glitch and not an intended mechanic, but still super fun to do.
transition at 1:59 was the smoothest thing ive ever seen
You are criminally underrated with this high quality content you just created. You deserve more!
Man, imagine an Overwatch where Pharah's jump jets launch her in the direction she's looking, and Junkrat's mines blast him directly away rather than just up.
this was literally added like 2 weeks ago, in mid season patch
Bruh
she's slow in the sky for a reason
pharah feels a lot better if you shoot the ground when you press shiftto boost you further in the air, also they did improve it for ow2 by giving it more direction
bro actually predicted pharah's horizontal movement
They called me a fool.
Absolutely massive props for this amazing video! What makes me even happier is the usage of raving rabbids tv party music. But yeah, I'll keep swininging around to see what's cookin'!
Raze is just SUCH a satisfying character to play. Her skills ceiling is high too
I particularily enjoyed the part where the Demoman disrupted his voiceover and he had to shush him.
I thought it was quite rude but if you say so
As a Pharah main in Overwatch since 2016, you have no idea how satisfying it was when Wrecking Ball launched years later, with actual movement techs, velocity that carries over, and one of the highest skill caps in the game. Movement is so fun in video games, and Ball's whole kit is dependent entirely on how well he can move and retain speed. He just feels like such a step up from every other character except maybe Lucio.
5:16 oh boy do i have to tell you something
As a Raze main, love the appreciation for the satchels. They're just so fun!
is any one gona talk abnout the thumbnail?
i just realized 😭😭😭
the reason why they dont let junk and phara move like that is because they would be way to good, which is why they let lucio and doom keep their movement
@@itzplant3196 yeah, overwatch is different from team fortress. comparing team fortress to overwatch makes about as much sense as comparing cod to battlefield. they are similar enough to compete with eachother but not enough to compare to eachother
this editing style tickled my brain so much that i subscribed halfway through the video
OM GOYU ABLSOLUTELY HAVE TO PLAY ULTRAFART ITS SOOO GOOD THE EXPLOSIVE JUMP IT SO GOOD
bro does NOT know how to use junk
Do yourself a favor:
Boot up Titanfall 2.
As a raze main, and a rollerblader, I can confirm everything makes sense now
LMAO
This makes me think about the sliding/surfing/dashing and then jumping to launch yourself up in video games. Like when you use Moira's 'Fade' and you jump to give yourself that big boost forward or like Sojourn's 'Power Slide'. It's also similar to when you use Widowmaker's grapple and press space to jump right before you reach your location and it just boosts you towards the direction you're going. Also more on the surfing part, like Lucio's movement, or counter strike surf.
i was genuinely spacing at around 1:30 and that totally caught me off guard and then i was locked in lol
you can do a horizontal explosive jump as junkrat if you jump and wait until you are falling downwards, to blow the mine up. Note if you decide to avoid being detected by your enemies by crouch walking around the map, you will almost without fail bring dishonor and disgrace upon yourself, as a result of this cowardly act.
your editing is so modern and easy to look at (amazing aounds too)
THANKS FOR PLEASING MY EYES AND EARS
okay dude, cmon, you didnt need to go that hard on the OST for Raze, but you did it anyway and I FUCKING LOVED IT, Crabulon theme started playing i got hyped with the video.
I love that Blizzard added (aside from angled jumps) exactly the pharah change you requested
While I do understand this video was specifically about movement using an explosive, you cant exactly shit on overwatch movement when DPS Doomfist, Lucio, and tracer exist.
Your ability to captivate my attention as a first time viewer was amazing. Great vid
This video's editing is so good holy shit. Not to mention how entertaining it is, good stuffs, im subscribing
1:20 got me, I was snoozing off and you grabbed my attention again
the fact that this video starts off with a sudden burst of energy is very fitting
Which is impossible using any of the other propulsion weapons (rockets, grenades which explode on impact, rail jump, plasma, and lightening climb which worked on walls of a space map)
I hope one day Excessiveplus is revived or a new game built around it's mechanics, physics, and the way the engine ran happens. Until then, I suck it up and play Quake Champions, as Quake 3 E+ has nearly no playerbase and Quake live feels terrible to me, as it did when it first came out and I just stuck with Quake 3 Excessiveplus.
Love the video dude! I would love to hear how you edit your videos!
After watching this video, I expected nothing less of 100k subscribers on this channel, but to my surprise, it's only at less than 10k. I have genuinely enjoyed watching and would love more content like this.

You're editing is fantastic man, reminds me a lot of LazyPurple and FUNKe. There is no way you don't blow up in viewership soon.
