This is a short video showing me remove a nozzle from a Beckett AFG Burner. I know the video is not very good but I thought it was still worth sharing. Hope it helps. SUBSCRIBE for more videos: ua-cam.com/channels/-ZPTqzkJujjUouZZohAvDw.html
When you take the oil supply tube off, wouldn't oil leak out of it? Do you need to turn off the oil somewhere???
You can turn off the fuel valve. Every system is set up differently so it depends on the set up. Thank you for the question and watching the video!
One thing I use is an antifreeze jug on its side with one side cut off. Makes a nice catch all working on oil, with a spout to pour into a waste container... not that I think it matters but Beckett says not to use two wrenches and to use only the nozzle tool. Anyway nice video!
Nozzle wrenches are good but do not work on all burners. Definitely need to know the proper way to use two wrenches without causing damage to the electrodes!
Thanks for the tip on the antifreeze jug!
My furnace leaks at the end of the chip out there and making a mess what is your suggestion to fix it I have a Parkway furnace with the end of the ship that leaks Beckett furnace that leaks out by the chip I've replaced the tip and it's no good to it leaks
Did you get it fixed? If you are getting air into the fuel line, this can happen. Is the burner down stairs? I would check the fuel pressure going into the burner when it’s not running!
So he doesn’t say anything about turning the power off to the furnace to avoid electricity
