Hi there great video . I have a question because it getting cold and my furnace is not working. I have air comming out of the inlet filter on the side of the blow motor . Does this mean the motor is running backwards? The air is comming out of the filter where you adjust the air flow going into the burner head it that makes sense . My burner is a Beckett . I furnace runs but not well . I have changed everything from the control unit , nozzle, new igniter box. I thought the air was supposed to go into the burner head from the side where the adjuster ring goes. Should I change the direction of the blower motor ?
I have never seen one spin backwards. I wish I was there to see what you were talking about.
Sometimes it's a weak contactor in the primary
That’s a great point! Never thought of that being a potential issue! Thank you!
@@furnacetech2581 I'm a third generation oilman. I've seen a lot.
So what's wrong with the motor???
Bad motor keeps tripping, can I use a used .motor from same style unit.?
If it’s the same model, it should work. I recommend doing a combustion tune when you get it installed. Just to be sure is running safe
@@furnacetech2581 I appreciate the feedback, motor runs great on bench. I just wish the tenant would listen to the homeowner and just fix it right. The tech said where to start, which is motor, but could be something in lines if it's getting air. This hasn't run in 3 yrs. Tech took apart everything n cleaned everything and hooked everything bk up. I think the tenant needs to have tech install n adjust everything. IMO. This tenant is about fast n cheap but homeowner has already said he's paying for it, so why not do it right n let my tech do it. I'm just frustrated, sorry. I can install motor, very easy but I just have this feeling that he knows something else is wrong, lines perhaps. Idk. I'm not touching anything. Homeowner wants it right, he can pay my tech to do it n adjust n replace things as needed. Really dumb question, does the return come on when boiler is on or is that return strictly for ac?
@@furnacetech2581 I mentioned the motor was good, and I did take motor off n Lmao it was good after they told me it was the motor. I'm guessing since it won't turn n trips the pump is whats bad..!!? I give up tryn to help n bein the nice guy. Thanks for replying
