I served 10 years in the Royal Marines in the 1960's, got a couple of G.S.M's (now known as the A.S.M I believe.) I joined as a Junior Marine, a few weeks after leaving school. I was a bit shy and lacking in confidence. My weight was 9 stone 1lb, (literally a lightweight). As soon as I entered the service I came out of my shell and found the focus and commitment that I needed. Milo only needs to have the right mental attitude and he could also do it. From my experience I think that this lad Milo needs the sort of comradeship that you can only get in the military. This comradeship did me a power of good, and I thoroughly enjoyed being just "one of the lads". The experience was the making of me, which I'll never forget. Milo has come on and made excellent progress during this series, and I was happy for him that he was selected as one of the three to pass the selection process. Top Marks Milo. Good luck for the future.

Poor lad. I hear him though, wanting to make his family proud. Sometimes that can be a slippery slope though because at the end of the day you have to do some things for yourself and that in itself should make your family proud.
To give up his own dream as he thought it selfish given the situation. That's a great bloke right there and it took courage to admit that on a tv show.
I wonder how his family felt after hearing him being very honest about why he didn't pursue his dreams because of them and trying to protect them but in the end constantly living in regret. I think if I was his mum and dad I would both be happy and sad. He should be proud of what he has done and I'm sure 1 day his brothers will tell him the same thing.

He has bravery, integrity, strength, heart and and one day I hope he realises that he is enough, more than enough.
Naw you never!! Don't lie
There’s always one that says “no you never” trolls only because he ain’t got the balls to attempt to go into the army.
I met his dad if he has the same dad as travis. He served with the rfa. Top top man he /is very proud of his sons spoke highly of them
@Derpy Derpderp what?
@@towlawrian ollie is saying that you're bullshitting
@@ch4z_bucks so you're telling me Travis dad didn't serve in the rfa as a deck hand and he wasnt on Lyme Bay out in Bahrain keeping gangway duties with us p squadron lads?
@@towlawrian I'm not saying that, Ollie is, I was just clarifying because you seemed confused about what Ollie said. I personally can't confirm what you're saying but it doesn't sound like a lie
@@towlawrian also something I've always wanted to ask a current or former serviceman is what is the hardest part of training for your branch?
Being in the armed forces I know how this kid feels, I've not cried in a long time, seeing this brought me to tears.
"I'm proud of you man"
I remember I met a friend from college when I was getting food we talked for a bit and told me all the good things he was doing from when he finished. I looked him in the eye and said that to him. His face changed and he looked like he was about to cry then quickly snapped out of it.
Seemed like I was the first person to say that to him. Hope he is still doing wellm
The introspection from within this young man is palpable!!
..&..
The words from Milo @#1:45
Is a silent bond spoken from one brother to brother's!!
Which you can evidentially see in both
Foxy's..&.. Ollie's face!!
Without saying it. You know ollie and foxy knew exactly how he felt losing his brother.
In the shit its about the man next to you and they are all brothers in arms.
I wanted to be like you guys... I think you are young man and have their respect.
My dad was in the army.. my litte sister is still in the army now. Both of them seen and went through horrific things i couldnt even imagine ❤ my heart goes out to his family and brothers xxx
Anyone know how this lad is getting on in life now? A real gentleman who speaks from the heart and how proud he is of his brother’s has made me very emotional. Go on young man and I wish you every success sir
Poor lad. I hear him though, wanting to make his family proud. Sometimes that can be a slippery slope though because at the end of the day you have to do some things for yourself and that in itself should make your family proud.
He made me break down hearing his story remembering all the friends and squad members i lost while in the service ,i guess it never goes away😥
Respect to that young man.......you are doing your brother proud.
Aww he’s so gentle.
And he then went on too win it. What a strong man you did your brother proud.
What a lovely young man. All the best and RIP his brother.
I'm going soft in my old age, that bought tears to my eyes. What a smashing lad.
To give up his own dream as he thought it selfish given the situation. That's a great bloke right there and it took courage to admit that on a tv show.
This Lad is the real deal God be with you boy your type is what makes our Country the best!!!🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
thanks for been a good fan 💖 ,hope to see your response soon 💝 can we talk privately
This gentleman is a credit to his family 💯
Damn. I didn't expect how it played out. Fucking hell. He's a good guy. I wish him the best and I hope he's now happy and doing what he loves.
Foxy is such a down to earth dude, me and my partner went to see him on his book tour and he was so chill and normal
Wow... bless him! He is more of a man than he knows.. 👌🎩
You say you’re not a man yet. Take it from me lad you are. Your brother would be so proud and honoured to be your brother ❤️
You know you are amoungest serious men who can show compassion
You don’t need to earn a uniform to be proud of yourself mate, waking up each day, getting yourself dressed and making the bed are all things to feel proud of, because despite your self-perceived shortcomings, you’re still swimming, you’re a soldier, 🤝 🍻
What an amazing lad he’s a real strong minded lad who has got my respect ✊
To everyone who has lost someone, I wish you all well
