for some reason ford always wanted to keep the v8 the flagship even in australia. right up until the sprint they left a lot a lot on the table with the barra and always understated the power and especially torque figures to favour the v8. we probably wouldn't have even got the xr6 sprint if the xr8 sprint didn't have a supercharged coyote. not as bad as holden though they overstated the lsx output ford australia always understated both the sprints had overboost by outputs were stated for worst case conditions.

That voltage thing sounds super interesting. I'd think it would be more consistent unless there's like a bad ground, bad sensor, or too much movement in something
That was my thinking too, either a ground issue (which would be weird) or some movement in the sensor. Could also be some kind of interference since it's only at super high rpm, I wonder if shielding/moving the sensor wire could help
It might just be a voltage drop from the alternator at high rpm, you can see in the graphs as he revs higher the sensor voltage drops. I would check if the alternator voltage is dropping at a similar rate.
ME degree and just took a course in controls, seems like you need some sort of solution to remove noise because that is a very big variance for a 5v signal. I recommend some sort of PID control to remove the steady state error and allow you to have much smaller voltage ranges for different gears. Filter like you said might work too ✌️
Biggest issue with these is overshoot and/or rise time. This means switching gears might take longer and the signal might jump to read too high for the right gear.
Sadly most rtr bits would remove the GT350 only parts. The front of a GT350 is not swappable with a GT, that’s why people order Anderson Composites body kits to make their own clones because factory panels don’t swap!
Tuning Fork (Scotty) is one of the most brilliant men I’ve watched on UA-cam. He is able to translate complicated stuff into terms i feel like I can understand completely.

Gt350 has been my favorite car ever on the channel from spraying it with nitrous with cleeter on the Dino to it burning down to the barra swap I’ve loved every second of it
The barra is perfect for roll racing. It’s cool seeing you branch off it and play with a couple straight line cars. It’d be cool to see Z-Roy at another burnout comp.
Barra is notorious for making shit vibrate to the point where it will make shit loose, i seen countless comments for this when you first built this. Glad to see you are starting to get your shit sorted.
Yes love this car, more please! This car must have a story of perseverance more than any of your other cars, even though it must not have felt like that at the worst moments. To me all those emotions attached to it make it what it is today, it gives it character. And boy does this car have some stories to tell. For that it deserves all the attention it's getting.
Love the Barra GT350. Its one of the only cars I see Adam drive where hes visibly concetrating on piloting the car. And whats even more amazing is he can still turn it up some more
This car is my absolute favorite on the channel and unfortunately i don't tune in much anymore due to time constraints but I will ALWAYS show up for this car! Can't wait to see it finished!
As someone who's absolute ultimate dream car is a gt350, I'm so glad you saved this one. Every one of these that goes off the road is a tragedy. Too bad about that flatplane crank though, but at least she lives.
The Barra turbo motor is one of the strongest motors ever made by Ford and can take beyond 1000+ HP with standard running gear. I'm from Australia and have a ford barra motor BA ute and had Zero issues with car.
make it a god damn drift car already we all know you want to and what a better way for an rtr driver to spend his time, making the coolest and most badass mustang of the entire squad that's so crazily out of the box compared to all the basic and common v8 ones out there.

So sick the Barra is back in business! 💪🏻 i think you need to go all in and say F it, turn the GT350 into a nasty street car that can do some partying at the dragstrip! I would 100% get some proper suspension on that car the front end’s spring rate especially isn’t set up right anymore since you’ve gone to a lighter setup than the v8 in there, it’s got a lot of body movement

If you're getting odd voltage wave and variance the first thing to check is ALWAYS grounds. A healthy ground is crucial in any DC application

reasonably sure that he probably has 300 or more HP pulled out of it because of all the problems. Wouldn't be surprised if it's in the 700s as-is

Sounds like you need a pull up/pull down resistor on the gear sensor to stop the voltage floating

Going to have vibration when using billet bushings instead of rubber ones. Rubber ones work fine just replace them regularly
