Just started watching, and you're videos are some of the best I've seen. The information is great. I'm tired of just watch people fish without explaining anything.
Talked to my fishing buddy, Bo and they sure enjoyed the couple days they fished with you. He said he learned a lot. Thank you for showing them a good time and sharing. PB
Not much better than some Crispy Crappie! I always use the egg wash I’ll have to try the hot sauce. My favorite fish batter is Andy’s Red . Your daughter is sweet! It’s great that she’s not to shy to be on UA-cam. Happy Thanksgiving Mr. Lester Me and my extended family is having a fish fry for Thanksgiving this year. We’ve had plenty of ham and turkey so far. I’m ready for some golden crispy Crappie, hush puppies and my wife’s homemade coleslaw! The cold cold weather is on the way! I’m ready to start finding them suspended crappie grouped up in that cold water! God bless
Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your videos. I like the way you explain what you are doing and using. I crappie fish a lot and yet I am still able to pick some tips from you. Don't change a thing!
It might have been tough on the water but I bet it was great at the supper table, love your videos and your daughter is precious keep up the good work and family time
I had a few tough days like that. Sure makes you appreciate those good days. Looks like you got a fishing partner that will keep your secrets. Man those fillets looked tasty. My wife and I really like eating those Crappie also. Keep those videos coming.
Crappie are best fried. I will try the hot sauce binder. I like to let my batter set before frying by setting them on a pan for 15 minutes battered. Keep crumbs from burning in the grease. I can reuse the grease a lot more.
Yellow cornmeal with 1 tbs salt per cup of meal. With fish in a colander squirt a little yellow mustard and move fish around to get a light coating as a binder. Take fish from colander to cornmeal and then to 350 deg oil. Good eating right there!
Hey Brandon I watch every episode you put out love the content I’m over here at lake Chickamauga but I like fried the best blackened would be number two if you get a chance order some googan fish fry mix it is some good stuff!!
I am going to start trying to film some of my fishing adventures and you channel is by far my absolute favorite for crappie. Can you give me a tip on what mic you use on your go pro?
I fish tidal water in eastern N.C. and I’m ready for some cold weather myself to get these fish bunched up around the mouth of creeks. I too like the zatarains fish fry and I use two step with it but I will definitely try the hot sauce next time for sure. Preciate the video sir!
Another awesome video. I’m 99 % jigs here on grand lake ok. I use a mixture of corn meal and flour and seasoning salt and pepper and ginger. More heat more pepper more zing more ginger. Hopefully I can make a trip down to Tennessee after your bass season next year and fish and learn from you.
I was out yesterday, morning they wouldn't touch anything. Afternoon less stubborn. I tie my own hair jigs, when it gets tough I tip the jig with a minnow. My go to color, white 1/32nd head that I add glitter to the paint. Powder blue new age chenille body, white tail.
I use 3/4 cup of Andy's yellow corn meal to 1/4 cup of Andy's Cajon. Every body in my family likes it that way. I live in South East Missouri, and your right, water temp needs to get colder. Thanks for the video.!!
I use mustard as a binder and you don't taste it at all on fried fillets. I like my crappie fried and my catfish blackened over dirty rice. I pan fry white bass fillets and use them for fish tacos.
I love hot sauce with catfish I will definitely be trying this recipe. Y’all should do some crappie cakes they will make your tongue slap your brains out 😜
Brandon I egg, wash drain in collender. I use progresso seasoned bread crumbs put in a doubled up paper bag, to do the breading job . Works great for shaking the fish around. I do tape the corners of the paper sack. I also place the fish in a wire basket, that way they all go in at the same time. Happy fishing

Try adding some Italian bread crumbs to your Zatarains mix Really good flavor Great show.
Here lately I’ve been blackening with some cilantro lime rice! But there’s just something about fried crappie..
Zatarains lemon pepper is my fav
Like them fried
When and why you use a crappie magnets body or a trout magnet body.
I like Dano’s seasoning on my crappie too.
