Rod just arrived, that was quick! It's in 1 piece which is nice, thank you so much. Have you used their ice rods much? Curious about your impression of them. @@FloppingCrappie
@squirrellydan1277 I've used their rods for the past couple season. I normally use the 32" for smaller jigs/lures. The 28" i use for jigging lipless and spoons up to 1/8oz.
Love the vid. Most of my crappie fishing is with a jig head and 2" plastic. I also use the 3-in-1 bobbers; I really like using that lower slot for the slip bobber action. It can be sensitive to what you use for the bobber stop. If it's a little small, the stop can get wedged in that slot. But otherwise, I find it really convenient to be able to swap between a fixed setup and slip bobber setup very quickly. Also easy to quit using the bobber altogether without having to cut and retie the jig.
I like the northland lite bite bobbers better than the 3 in 1. They work better for slip bobber fishing. I havent tried a jig and bobber setup. Normally just cast over the brush pile and slow roll it back over. The bobber would help keep it over the brush longer. I’ll give it try.
I often wonder why it is that I can see items (fish, trees, brush, etc.) on you screen than I do on mine (helix10) Transducer is mounted well.... Yours just look so vivid.
@raygissendanner1476 bridges and spillways/dams are your best bet at finding Crappie. Casting a bobber and jig setup near the bridge pilings and changes the depth of your jig will produce some fish. Depending on what state you fish in, crappie will start moving into shallower creeks of large reserviors. I fished for them in creeks during the winter months (mostly in Texas).
@raygissendanner1476 you should be able to find some creeks flowing into larger reserviors. Crappie will start moving up those creeks within the next month, and you can probably catch them in shallow water (less than 8ft).

Thanks, much appreciated! 🎣
Best crappie channel on UA-cam. The perfect Fall day on the water, I've never caught that many over 11 inches. Electronics have always confused me
@@squirrellydan1277 it was definitely a good morning on the water

@earnestjust4706 my screen uses a 1920x1200 pixel size. Most other 10in screens are full hd 1920x1080 or less in pixels.
I have a heck of a time getting braid to slide through any slip bobber. Even those with a metal grommet.
