For an extra dose of irony, the owners of this attraction sued the insurers to recoup costs for rain damage. They were denied the claim due to it being declared an act of God. I'm not making this up.

    • @RM3MB3R
      @RM3MB3R 4 роки тому +2

@The Mandalorian when have you ever seen a Christian gunning people down?
You do realize that most of the atrocities committed in the 20th century were done by atheists who believe in evolution, right? The foundation of Communism is BUILT on making people stop believing in God and has ALWAYS lead to millions of innocent people being murdered by Communist dictators. And it's not the "religious" people who fight to make and keep the ability to murder unwanted babies, which ALSO numbers in the millions, legal. This is documented historical fact, which will ALWAYS outweigh twisted wishful thinking.
Don't forget that Jesus Himself stated that the two commandments that encompass the whole of the Bible are to love God and love others as yourself. Evolution is the belief that life is an accident with no real value.
Did you know that there was actually a time, when Christianity was still prominent here, that people never even locked their car doors while leaving them unattended or locked the doors to their houses at night because the idea of people breaking into a vehicle to steal it or breaking into someone's home to rob and murder them was unthought of? Ask ANY elderly person!
Can ANYONE verify that violent crime is done by Christians, or are the Crusades, which was done by CATHOLICISM, still all everyone has to point to as "proof" that religious people are violent?
You could point to Islam. Of course, you run the risk of being called a bigoted racist Islamophobe if you do. Go figure THAT one.
It is hard to believe people are really this stupid today. If it wasn't for UA-cam response threads, I don't think I COULD believe it. But here you guys are, practically bragging about how stupid you are like it's a good thing. Please continue trying to tell people how good and moral atheists are. I guess the importance of actually having FACTS is a myth now. It certainly isn't reality. And we wonder why America is falling apart.
Sorry to interrupt your ignorance parade. I'm not really expecting any kind of truthful responses from you. Just showing you the difference between reality and wishful thinking, although I'm sure denial will take over from here.

@@ArcaneStudent "Best universities in the world"? Oxford, Cambridge and The Sorbonne would argue with you on that. As would Edinburgh. Oxford is rated as the best, and the US seems to be there by weight of numbers. That said, none of the best ones are that far away from the Eastern and Western seaboards.
And oh yeah... Tim Berners-Lee, Alan Turing, Marie Curie, Werner Von Braun, Ada Lovelace, Charles Babbage, Frank Whittle, Howard Florey, Ernst Chain, Otto Hahn, Fritz Strassmann, Joseph Swann, Carl & Bertha Benz, Rudolf Pereis, Enrico Fermi, Ernest Rutherford, Edwin Chadwick, Professor Steven Hawking, Reiji and Tsuneko Okazaki, the Lumiere Brothers... all are way more influential and important than Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, in the grand scale.
But yes, America does have some brilliant individuals, but it's telling that many of them need to venture abroad to reach their true potential. Look at Jimi Hendrix, James Watson, Mario Andretti (oh... no... he was born in Italy). Actually, in terms of academia and Science, the US doesn't pull it's weight, which is appalling when you consider the size of the country. The “pastors,” televangelists and the Bigwigs make untaxed billions of bucks selling lies and cheap trinkets to their “flocks” including the elderly, a particularly vulnerable segment of society. Con men, hustlers and thieves. Can’t feel too sorry for the victims, though. They have brains. They just don’t use them. Maybe they can’t. Constipated up to their eyebrows.

I agree it's great seeing such an intelligent and critical thinking kid. And my point to follow is not disagreeing with that.
That statement is problematic. It is either a hugely inaccurate statement of facts or an artistic expression to illustrate a point with a big grammatical error.
Not trolling here, maybe a little trolling, but misuse of terms, like "literally" or "in theory" is why Young Earth Creationists are able to convince people there's truth in their tales and they use that as a way to seem like they are poking holes in scientific methods and theories.
I know, seems silly I am here pointing this out to you when clearly I understand what you meant. To praise a smart girl by saying she has more intelligence than so many others. Figuratively like more than almost everyone. An illustrative metaphor for really really smart. But using "literally," meaning factual and real, means the statistic used has to has fact based. And factually there is no evidence to support the claim.
Like the misuse of "theory" in YE Creationists arguments. The misunderstanding/misuse has changed how people understand the term. Almost redefining it as "hypothesis" or "hypothetical."
Literal is going down the same road. And both terms are used to manipulate people into distrusting scientific method and statements.
I just wanted to point this out. Is seemed petty on the surface. However given the video it was posted on, I think the opportunity to illustrate this point is important within this context.
My intentions are not personal, and hope no offense was caused. Please I welcome any discussion, comments, or anything.

Heinz was a relation of Trump, so he certainly had a better genetical predisposition of being a gibbering adult. Obama, I was led to understand by your clown in chief to be a Muslim? Bono is widely known as a gibbering idiot.
But out of the list, who is a creationist? Who thought the universe began 4000 BC? That a babyish fairy tale ark was history?
King for certain. Reagan had nothing to say about that. Its possible to be a Christian and still intelligent enough to laugh at the stupidity of Ken Ham. "Where's the church/state separation?" I'm not an advocate for state funding of one's business projects, religious or otherwise. However, I do believe it's important to understand that the philosophy of "separation of church and state", as it is understood and defended today, was not present with the political bodies and governments which composed the thirteen states that individually ratified the federal Constitution between 1787 and 1790. We know this by examining the original state constitutions, the majority of which had religious requirements for holding office.
It was in Everson v. Board of Education in 1947 that Justice Hugo Black first applied the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights as binding on the states through the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. This is the point at which the metaphor "wall of separation", a phrase penned by Thomas Jefferson in an 1802 letter to the Baptist Association of Danbury, Connecticut, began to be misinterpreted and misused. A read of the context of Jefferson's letters shows clearly that Jefferson is not advocating here for a religion-abstinent government. Rather, he is reassuring devoutly religious Baptist constituents that he is indeed a friend of religious liberty and is striking back at those who vilified him as being nonreligious. In Jefferson's letter, he assured the congregation that the federal government ("state" here being defined generally as government) could not interfere with their church or offer special favors to any particular sect.
The misuse and legal enforcement of the phrase has been given its legal strength by way of incorporation through the 14th Amendment, an amendment which itself required the disenfranchising of the people of ten states of the American Union, and the annulment of their governments by congressional decree during the Reconstruction Acts of 1867 and 1868. "Separation of Church and State" therefore has no actual Constitutional foundation, though it is widely accepted by the majority of Americans today and upheld in the courts as a branch of the presumed conclusion of law being defined by 14th Amendment national citizenship.

You're awesome, keep doing what you are doing. You give me hope we may be able to get out all of this mess. I was indoctrinated from a very early age in all of this weird cultist fundamentalist shit, and I am only now shedding all of it as an adult. It honestly helps me a lot to see someone so young take the idea that there is no God in stride. Keep doing what you are doing!
